Fantastic property
The house had everything we could have wanted during our stay. Beautifully decorated, clean and very comfortable beds. The house is immaculate and in a great location - walking distance to the beach. I wish we could have stayed longer. Excellent!!

Paradise in beautiful Hanalei
Our stay at this gorgeous property was just perfect. Sheri and Henry are the most gracious and generous of hosts and every welcoming touch from the chocolates to the birthday cake added to the special experience staying in Hanalei. The property is fitted out with the most wonderful furniture, from the rocking chairs to the amazingly comfortable beds - and everything you need to explore the beach and surrounds are right their to use from beach chairs, buckets and spades, trailers and bikes. Really - things don’t get much better than this. The view from the lanai is breathtaking, I’m not sure how we’ll go returning to normal without waterfalls to look at every morning. Thanks again for making or time in Hanalei so special. We felt very much at home on the North Shore and can’t wait to make a return visit.

Another Fantastic Family Stay
This house is clearly beloved by the owners. It has such great aesthetic touches that really add to the stay. The location is perfect. We had the grandparents with us and the extra guest room is set up so wonderfully to allow for privacy and yet everyone enjoys the torch. This was our second time at this property and we will be back again.

Great stay in Hanalei
This property was such a fun place to stay for a visit to the North Shore. Everything was fantastic but you should know that there is no air conditioning and the open air feel leaves you sleeping with the crowing roosters outside. For us, that made the experience even better and more authentic.

Perfect Location and House
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean and bright. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 5-8 minute walk to town. The kitchen was fully stocked and the laundry facilities were top notch. We will definitely stay there the next time we come to Hanalei.

Well stocked in every way for comfort and fun - from the kitchen to the downstairs toy closet, complete with beach chairs, snorkels equipment, boogie boards, and our favorites - beach cruiser bikes. So easy to ride to the beach or ride into town. The folks at Makana Kauai were wonderful to deal with throughout - communicative and very helpful. Would come back in a heartbeat. Mahalo!!

Our stay in Hanalei was just wonderful. The house was clean and well equipped. I will say the 2nd bedroom not being attached to the main living area was an issue for us with two young kids. They and we, didn't feel comfortable with them sleeping in a room that could only be accessed by walking outside. Luckily there was a pull out couch. I wish I had understood this detail in the description of the house. Other than that, we were very happy and comfortable with the house.

Perfect!
The house beautiful with all the amenities you need! The walk to the beach with all the beach gear is unbeatable. Also so close to town! The house itself so pretty and sitting on the balcony with our coffee as it rained was pure bliss. No a/c that we noticed but that didn’t matter to us and fans in every room. The second bedroom you access from the balcony, not the main house. Also not a problem for us but for someone with tiny kids .. We would absolutely stay here again and missed it when we went to our next spot!

Wonderful stay!
This is a great property. It’s walking distance to town and just a block from the beach. It is well appointed and very bright with lots of windows. The wraparound porch may have been our favorite part. We love Hanalei and would definitely stay here again on a future trip.
