About the host
Hosted by Terry Bentley

Built in 1909 by sisters Minnie and Mineta Bell, the building is located in the heart of downtown Roseburg, where it first stood as the Historic Bell Sister Hat and Dress Shoppe. The second floor has not been occupied since the 1950's as it was formerly a dental practice to Dr. Richard Brumfield from 1918 to 1921. Bell Sister Flats was inspired by our travels both within the U.S. and abroad. The Umpqua Valley offers an array of entertainment for visitors, from the pristine North Umpqua River for guided fishing trips to world renowned hiking and biking trails. Visiting foodies can dine at local restaurants or support the diverse downtown shopping district.
Why they chose this property
Our flats was designed by co-owner and architect, Paul Bentley, who had occupied the Bell Sisters building from 2000-2023 as a practicing local architect. The ground floor is now leased out to The Lazer Studio Fine Home Décor and Gifts. Paul and his wife Terry Bentley are both Roseburg locals and hope to bring downtown back to the vibrant and bustling area that they remember as kids.
