Unique Experience

The Treehouse was a unique mostly- 5 star experience. Unfortunately not quite everything was. The bunk beds weren't comfortable. The map for location of activities wasnt accurate. The shower temp was hard to adjust. But it was beautiful and peaceful location.and left for confusion.

It was an dream adventure

It was perfect! The weather was chilly and drizzling and it was perfect. The treehouse was something out of a dream, the property was magnificent and Henry was the absolute best with his patience as we got a little lost along the way. The only thing that could have made it better is it we got to stay another week. I took my daughter for her 12 birthday and she said it was the he best and she’ll remember it forever. We loved it!!

Stay more than one night if you can!

We could only stay one night, but I wish we could have stayed longer. There is so much to explore. Mr. Henry is a remarkable and accommodating host. We’ll be back!

Best family vacation spot

My family explored a different area on the property every day and had so much fun. We enjoyed the escape from the city and the privacy of this location. I have already been recommending to my friends and family. Mr. Henry is a kind man and is very accommodating. The treehouse is clean and has a full kitchen as well as a stacked washer and dryer. The shower is very nice with plenty of hot water. I also loved the bidet in the bathroom. I have a bidet at home so it is very nice to also have a bidet while on vacation. We stayed in the hottest month of the year and the temperatures were comfortable. 20 degrees coller than the temperature at our own home. This could easily become my family's annual vacation place.

Great family getaway

Toucan Treehouse was a fabulous adventure. My husband and I took our 2 youngest children ages 9 and 11. The loft was perfect for the kids. It was a steep climb so I would not recommend it for preschool age and only for very agile 5 or 6 year olds. The modern bathroom was a pleasant surprise and included a washer and dryer. The kitchen had everything we needed. The property had so much to do we did not get bored at all. We used the provided maps and hiked for several hours locating all the highlighted places of interest. The Swiss family Robinson treehouse was really cool! We also spent extended time at the lake fishing, swimming, reading in the hammocks and canoeing. Henry was an amazing host and made sure we had everything we needed. He met us at the property and we felt like we had a tour guide as he familiarized us with the ins and outs of the property through story telling, history lessons and a little lore. We only stayed one night but we packed a lot in and would definitely stay again.

AMAZING!!!

The only mistake about the stay was that we booked for one night instead of more! We have stayed in treehouses before but not ever as accommodating, gorgeous, magical and creative as this one. We hiked many trails and the adventures continued from walking planks to rowing canoes and zip lining into the water.

So much fun!

We went to the treehouse for our summer vacation and took our son and his friend. They told us over and over how much fun they were having! They played outside from sunrise to sunset, literally! From exploring to fishing and even swimming! This was hands down one of the best vacations weve had in a long time! The shower was amazing especially after a long day outside! Plenty of things to do to keep you all busy! Or relax in one of the many hammocks and enjoy the sound of the waterfall! Hands down, excellent place that we will definitely be back to!

Unlike anything else

We chose this as a weekend getaway for our son’s 10th birthday and it did not disappoint. Lifelong memories were made on this property from exploring and hiking the trails, fishing the pond and just all the fun that comes from treehouse living! Our 3 boys (and my husband and I) had a blast and hope to be back!

AMAZING!

We stayed at the treehouse for the eclipse and what an AMAZING experiences that was! The treehouse is everything you could ever want with AC, running water, a kitchen, plus chair style hammocks on the balcony. Our kids loved all the places to explore: pirate ships, buddha, a mine, bridges, the lake. Wow!

Unique Oasis

Henry's property was so unique and a fun getaway for our family. It would have been equally relaxing as a couple-only retreat. The trails, swing, kayaks, and canals were awesome. We did have a minor problem with a light and Henry was very easy to get in touch with and was very quick to fix it. We will be recommending this property to everyone!

Connecting with nature

We were looking for a unique getaway with access to nature and hiking and this far exceeded our expectations. It was magical being in the tree house, so many details were taken care of and again more than we even thought to ask for. Lots to explore, cool bridges, the sound of the waterfall, boating, and being able to bring our dogs with. Simply the best weekend!

Treehouse Perfection

This treehouse owes us nothing! Our stay was absolutely perfect! The property was amazing. The rental was super clean and the host was very friendly and helpful. The picture and description don’t do this property justice. My kids range from 20-8 and all three of them had an excellent time.

Best Family Trip

It is near impossible these days to get our family away even just for a few days with work schedules, school schedules, and sport schedules. Planning this trip to the treehouse was worth every bit of effort and exactly what our family needed. We spent three wonderful days fishing, canoeing, hiking, and most importantly time unplugged from the outside world. Mr. Henry is as wonderful as you read in the previous reviews. He knew all of our names, even our dog, upon our arrival and made us feel special and welcomed. He is one of kind and I wish we could have spent more time with him. There is honestly no wants for anything else once you arrive. More than enough to do on this dream like property. Our family cannot wait to return.

Hidden paradise

I don’t even know where to start. Henry has thought of every amenity to make this tree house modern yet fun. So many options on site for hiking and exploring. As well as fishing. Kitchen is well stocked including spices and dish detergent. Soft close cabinets and trash compactor are nice touches. The bathroom is very nice with copper sink, bidet and spacious shower. The heated tile was nice as the temps dropped at night. The downstairs bed is adjustable and very comfy. The upstairs loft was perfectly set up to make good use of the space. The surrounding property is beautiful and like being in another country. The bar downstairs is a nice touch for adults. Henry was such a sweet host. Very informative about the features of the property, He does have dogs that roam but as dog lovers it was not an issue. 10/10 and will definitely return.

About the host

Host profile image
Veda and Henry have lived on 250 acres for over fifty years. They have developed the property planting many varieties of bamboo and all sorts of tropical plants that will live in Arkansas' climate. There are over 100 palm trees of differing sizes to set the tone of the tropics.
Veda owned and operated a public opinion research business and Henry was an attorney and served as elected Prosecuting Attorney for the Ninth Judicial District of Arkansas for the last 14 years of his practice.

Both Veda and Henry enjoy traveling the world. Many of the attractions on the property are as a result of the influence of the places that they have visited.

They have created a New Orleans courtyard with a French Quarter building so guest may sit and sip wine or drink coffee. There is a replica of a Buddhist Lost Temple located in the jungle gardens of the Treehouse copied from one seen by the couple in Cambodia.. Guests will find a life size pioneer fort of the Revolutionary War Period on a lake within the 250 tract of timberland. Much of the landscape is fashioned from their observations during travels to the Islands of the Caribbean, the Andaman Sea, Central America and Hawaii.

Veda and Henry enjoy sharing the experience and adventure of their life's work with the guests who come to visit the Toucan Treehouse

Why they chose this property

This treehouse in itself is magical. However kids of all ages and adults will also enjoy the variety of activities and attractions available on the entire 250 acre tract.

The setting immediately below the treehouse is a seven acre tropical garden spot with lagoons and islands. The gardens can be explored by the adventuresome by means of kayaks or by crossing over suspension bridges to find an abandoned lost temple, or an overwater cabana. . All are right under the Treehouse. Waterfalls are everywhere. Bamboo jungles interspersed with tropical vegetation and neat trails throughout this garden create a maze in a paradise.

The lake below is full of all varieties of native fish for the angler's challenge.

There is a sandy beach on the lake for sunning, relaxing, swimming and just reading a good book.

This is a marvelous get-a-way spot located in the middle of a private, mature Arkansas forest boasting five miles of hiking and nature trails to keep the active guest busy soaking up the great outdoors.

The Peter Pan in any kid would feel right at home discovering an Indian village, boarding life sized pirate ships, exploring Blackbeard's cave, visiting and playing in two forts on the property and many more attractions to inspire an undiscovered imagination.

In summary you will enjoy a unique and comfortable treehouse retreat while living in a theme park experience.
