A true lakefront retro cottage with a mountain view. Pet and kid friendly!
It is a retro lakefront cottage in the purest sense! Lots of space for family fun at the lake. Bring your paddleboard, we have a canoe and kayak you can use - bring your toys. Watch the eagles soar. Watch the moon rise over the mountains. Relax in a comfortable, retro cottage with pops of colour for fun! Play croquet or bacci ball on the expansive lawns. Kids play on the swing set and sandbox.
In the quiet of fall and winter, think peace and tranquility; a retrospective place for quiet work.
Lots of upgrading projects in the works but they do not impact your stay other than to enhance it. New expanded deck, new dock, new boat launch.

We had the most amazing time staying at this cabin!!! The size of both the cabin AND the grounds far surpassed our expectations; there was just so much room :) The back deck and fire pit area were so wonderful and offered so much seating!
The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated how amazingly well stocked the kitchen was.
Dawne and Glen were lovely and allowed us to check in early, too. Very responsive and helpful hosts. We wanted to extend our stay but, unfortunately it was booked!
The grounds are beautiful and very well kept, and the dock is wonderful! The kids loved the kayaks and we had ample space for the paddle board we brought along.
All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing and enjoyable stay. We will be booking this gem again!
We had such a great time on this well appointed property. The cabin itself has lots of character, is spacious and is well stocked with anything you could need to feel at home.
The yard was beautifully manicured, and we made use of all the outside games provided.
It was so nice to have a kayak and canoe available to cruise the lake.
We would definitely rent again. Dawne our host was lovely and very responsive.
10/10 recommend for a little family getaway.

Our stay was delightful!
The house was just as we expected from the pictures. It as also quiet and comfy, and very well stocked for our needs.
And lastly, Dawne was kind and helpful with our questions and requests.
Would stay again!
Perfect, exactly what was represented, fully stocked, quaint little cottage. Plenty of room for 4 adults, sleeping in the bunk beds was like having a sleepover, lots of laughs. The grounds were very nicely done, privacy from the neighbours and more than enough seating. Highly recommended!
We had a lovely time at your home, with lots of kayaking and swimming, and a spacious deck for relaxing with a book and a cool drink afterwards.
The house was well-stocked with all the "non-food" essentials anyone would need.
My family and I enjoyed our stay at this property. The backyard was huge and the dog enjoyed playing there. We had so much kayaking in the lake and our dog loved going for a swim. The house was very well stocked and the only problem was that there were a lot of spiderwebs but the host had told us that they come back very quickly after being removed. Communication with Dawn was very good. We enjoyed our stay here and we are definitely coming back!
Beautiful property, easy communication with the host Dawne. Highly recommend for the backyard alone. Looking forward to another stay when the new dock is finished. One thing that needs fixing for a better night sleep is the master bedroom bed frame. It makes a racket with every move, woke us up constantly. Overall, we had an amazing time, we were not ready to leave when our time was up. Thank you Dawne!😊
Beautiful property. It was great for kids to hang out and enjoy the waterfront. Screens on the windows and air con would be a plus, but overall it was amazing value for money and we were thankful for the opportunity to enjoy it.

I stayed her with my family and it was a great trip. The property is lovely and the cottage is great. Clean, big kitchen, lots of areas to sit and relax. We had a great time.
we were in the area for 3 days and didnt want to be stuck facing hotel room walls and eating out always. With 2 infants, 2 toddlers under 6, and 6 adults - having this gorgeous space to stretch out and relax was perfect. waterfront, things for kids to do, and lots of deck space for hanging out. a great setup..
The house has lots of space and lots of supplies. The backyard is amazing. Yes it’s older and it creaks and squeaks but that’s part of the charm. There is some work to be done but you can see they are working on it little by little. We really enjoyed our stay.
We had a great time in this nice and quirky cottage. The place is full with all you need and the yard is amazing, especially for someone coming from the city. My only complaint is that the BBQ grill plate is dirty and rusty.
We were looking for a place we could relax and enjoy. This fit the bill perfectly. Hosts were super friendly and easy to contact with questions.
Felt like I was at our family cottage, so comfortable. Surroundings were fantastic, birds chirping, geese honking…….right out in nature.
Will definitely book again
Thank you Dawne & Glen
We expected and paid premium for lake front getaway but turned out the lake was drained to a point there was more than 20ft soft mud bed in front which we can't walk out. No more water sport. Very disappointed! Dawne told us 10 days before the house has 2 kayaks and 1 canoe without mentioned the drained lake. So I think he is not living close by. If you are thinking renting this lake front cottage for the water activities, do check it out before bring your water sport equipment. Otherwise, the place is nice, huge yard & deck and nice fire pit. Kitchen appliances are new and well stocked. Beds are comfortable. Inside was clean. 4 stars for cleanliness is because spider web was everywhere outside the cottage, front & back door, windows. The cleaner didn't care outside & the BBQ grill plate is dirty and rusty.
We enjoyed the stay mostly in the beautiful back yard.
Sitting on the deck and watching the exited people was the most part I have enjoyed it.
Thanks for everything.
My husband and I got married here last week, holding both our ceremony and reception in the backyard, and we had family doing the cooking (<30 people). They had a lot of serving/dinnerware available at the property, and while planning the thing Dawne and Glen were extremely helpful and generously provided a lot of what we needed. Since we had alcohol at the reception, and needed to have someone there with Serving it Right, they made themselves available for the afternoon. They jumped in to help my family get the food together, which really helped everyone to relax and have a great time. It is a great place to have a laid back event, and I honestly can't say enough good things about Dawne & Glen.
Very nice and clean cottage on large property. A big reason we chose this place over others for our vacation stay was because we could bring our puppy. Lots of space for her to run and play. She even got to say 'hi' to the tenant staying in the other building on the property. The property is fenced on 2 sides (roadside and neighbouring property to the right), with the lake on the third side. The cottage itself was large with a fun, multi-room retro layout. Evenings with the outdoor gas fireplace were very, very pleasant - the property has several nice outdoor spots to enjoy the summer evenings. The lake in front of the property itself is shallow and somewhat weedy, so we enjoyed it on inflatable floats. It's in a great part of BC to explore - Cascade Falls, Harrison Hotsprings, wineries, Westminster Abbey, etc etc all within short drives - and with very friendly people in the surrounding towns and villages. We had a great time overall.
Great views from the dock so a wonderful place to rejuvenate. Well stocked kitchen.
Great place to be as a family vacation.

About the host
Hosted by Dawne Bringeland
We love the cottage on the lakefront and love sharing it with families looking for fun filled days and campfires at night.
The property does have a second home on it that is occupied fulltime - we request consideration of all our neighbours.
There is a $25/ nightly charge for more than 8 guests. This is calculated manually based on the booking.
Why they chose this property
It is out of the way with the only distraction being the eagles, birds, and waterski boats! Quiet mornings, quiet nights, and game filled days.
What makes this property unique
We also have a 3rd tiny cottage we call the Hilton2. It sleeps 2-4 people. There is an extra fee charged for the use of the Hilton2. But cute as a button! [Not yet available-but stay tuned!]
