This is a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage/cabin on the navigable creek just off of Sawyer Harbor. Right down the road from Potawatomi State Park and Idlewild Golf Course. This location is 10 minutes from downtown Sturgeon Bay. Just a short drive to wineries and other Door County fun! There is a boat launch and a boat port on the property, so bring your boat if you'd like (small boats only)! Great fishing area for walleye, northern and musky! We have 2 single kayaks and one 17' canoe available for rent! We also have 4 adult mountain bikes and 2 adolescent bikes available for rent! Please inquire for more details on the rental equipment. Our fire pit down by the creek makes for a great night of s'mores and pudgy pies. Our back patio area is also great for enjoying the sunset and awesome wildlife views.
There is a queen bed, full bed, four twin beds (2 bunk beds) and one pull-out couch. Our home can sleep up to 6 adults and 4 children. No cleaning fish in the house. No bachelor/bachelorette parties. No pets of any kind. Please be aware that cell service is not the best in our area. We do have WiFi!
We have a 22" charcoal grill onsite for guests to use. Grill brushes and utensils are provided. You must bring your own charcoal. Please clean grill grate after each use.
We are asking that guests please use the public boat launch down the road if the ground leading to our launch is noticeably very wet and soft due to the water level being high -or- if the water level is too low.
One small bundle of firewood per night is included; also feel free to burn as many sticks from our brush pile as you would like.

The property was as listed. We had an issue with the TV not working and a text was sent but there was no response. We did not go there to watch TV so it was not a big problem.

Property on stagnant water with green film
The pictures show a prestine home that is older, but very clean and the aerial picture shows a beautiful bay. That is not what we found at this property . We were looking forward to relaxing on beautiful water and kayaking for a few days. What we found was a marshy swamp of water with a greenish film, filled with cattails and the water was not moving at all. If the water is completely stagnant like a marsh, this should have been stated in the description of the property. The water was too gross to even kayak around in. We were shocked given how beautiful the water is around the rest of door country. We ended up leaving the property in the morning and coming back late at night because we didn’t want to be there. In addition the windows, shower and dishes were not clean. When we walked in, we were met with a musty, dusty smell reminiscent of an old folks home. You can see my other reviews online are very positive, so I try to always find the positive in a situation, but given that our experience was so different from the other reviewers, it is only fair to share our experience. I need to mention the notable exception to our experience was that the property does have a great fire pit, which we enjoyed after dark. Property contract was responsive on providing check in information.
This was a great family-friendly place to stay. The location allowed us to be within a pretty close driving distance of the Shrine of our Lady of Champion, several beautiful state parks, cherry picking, etc. Enjoyed renting the kayaks, canoe, and bikes also.
We had a great location for relaxing and enjoying activities in Door County while also having downtime at the cottage. It was remote enough to feel out in the country but close enough to all our events. Special bonus to enjoy Kayaks, canoe, campfires, bikes, and grilling. Highly recommend to others.
We had a nice time exploring Door County from this cabin. It worked great for the family and they had plenty of board games to entertain us several times. The back porch is great for a BBQ and evening meal outside.
Quiet well appointed cabin. Nature abounds in the backyard with great deck and fire pit with western views. Sunsets and frogs singing all night. Can’t wait to book it again.
We wanted a space for our family to stay for a long weekend where we could be together, have easy access to waterfront and hiking, but separate from the hustle and bustle. We were not disappointed and appreciated the available games, outdoor gathering spaces, and amenities.
The quiet, isolated feel of this cozy cabin was perfect for our stay. The availability of kayaks and bicycles is a strong plus. We so enjoyed sunrise/sunset paddling out in the bay as well as biking through the state park into town center amenities. Cabin was cozy and clean with all the amenities and Rachel was a great facilitator/communicator. One suggestion would be screens for the bedroom windows to keep bugs out while enjoying the cool night breezes. Otherwise - FANTASTIC
We stayed here for a long awaited family trip. The access to kayaking, hiking and biking was great and the location was perfect. The house was just what we were looking for!
Celebrated 28 year wedding anniversary. Road the GAP trail. Went on a class 2/3 what water rafting and visited Frank Lloyd Wright home. Everything was perfect. House has plenty of room many amenities and perfect location
Nice and quiet, secluded area with a great firepit that everyone enjoyed. The house could have used a bit more cleaning upon our arrival but it was manageable. 3 separate bedrooms with comfortable beds were a great plus. Overall we have enjoyed our stay there and would come back again.
Rachel was very responsive and helpful with all questions. Nice to have kayaks and bikes available. Property was as described online and clean. Enjoyed our stay in Door County!
We took our kids here for the weekend at the end of the school year to mark the end of being stuck in the house for a year. My son loves the outdoors - so having access to the water, kayaks, a beautiful fire-pit was great. Daughter is starting to head into teen territory so she would describe this as a bit rustic for her standards, but this trip wasn't for her anyway. She enjoyed the shelf full of games, which was a nice touch. Unattended access worked great, talked to the host just a couple of days before to get access to the rental kayaks, which prevented me from having to haul much gear up. New air conditioner in the living room worked great when the afternoons got hot. Kitchen has everything you need to cook any meal, great patio - I really like the indoor/outdoor experience. Good balance between rustic, with some modern touches. Also, note that we had to ask for a schedule change because of conflicting work schedules - the host immediately accommodated this with other dates that were available - no increase in fees, and very nice about it. Overall it was a really nice experience for us.
Very positive experience. The location is amazing. Even though the property is located between two other houses, you still have a sense of complete isolation. Amazing views as well. The sky burning sunsets right at the waterfront with a bonfire will make you not even want to go inside. Speaking of the inside, great amenities. We had all the tools needed to bake a bread, a pizza, and grill outside. Additionally, the host also offers rental of kayaks or bikes which is super convenient. Board games available as well. Perfectly outfitted house for a family or friend getaway. The host was responsive and informative as well. Strongly recommend this place.
Rachel was fantastic to work with and was always prompt to reply to our questions. The location is absolutely perfect and very secluded. If you’re like us and like the privacy and country living with tons of wildlife you will not regret renting this cabin. The view and peace and quiet are like none other in the area. The private landing and boat lift made our fishing a breeze and was super convenient. Fire pit area was awesome for relaxing at night and having s’mores. For those reading other reviews she has a grill now too. Ample room for guests. Just a great location-1/4 mile to the main bay, 10 minutes to downtown sturgeon bay and a nice little drive to wineries and shops as well! This cabin has everything you could need. We will be back and renting from Rachel in the future!
Very good experience. Rachel was very helpful and quick to response.
