Spacious, cozy and tranquil is what you’ll get at this quiet and comfortable cabin in the quaint town of Franconia. The kitchen was easy to cook in with it being mostly stocked with everything you need to prepare most meals. Plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms to spread out and all the wooded trails to walk or hike! We even spotted a snowshoe hare on one of our hikes!
Overall the property was perfect for our group. 3 couples touring the fall foilage. House was clean, hot tub worked great.
When we arrived we had no hot water. There was no heating oil. We reported it to Vacasa and the problem was fixed the next day. Suggestion to the owner FILL THE FUEL TANK!! Dont just put a couple gallons in. Other than that we loved the house, loved the location, fall colors were beautiful.

Great Stay
Beautiful log cabin in a peaceful, quiet location yet minutes from I93. Love the separation of living spaces so older teens/ couples can have privacy and yet the main living area is big enough so all can enjoy time together also. Floor to ceiling windows off the main room make you feel like you’re always outside. Great deck.
Walked in and there was a strange scent. We kept the doors open for a bit and then it was amazing. I would stay here again. It was exactly like the pictures. BEAUTIFUL
Clean, comfortable and well stocked
( except missing a hair dryer) with everything else we needed. The yard needs some attention as the lawn was not mowed and the grass was high. We could not enjoy the outside lawn seating area.
Great cabin that is bigger than it looks! Hot tub under the stars didn't disappoint, and the kitchen was well-stocked (with gadgets, not food), even though we didn't end up cooking. We loved how convenient it was for Franconia center of town, but still very secluded, no hint of neighbors. 3 bathrooms for 4 bedrooms was also generous. I think there were 2 full size beds and 1 queen, not the other way around, but we managed. Fan was necessary to keep cool, but this summer has been warmer than usual. Overall, great stay for the weekend!

Gorgeous Property, Perfect for our Group, Non-Responsive to Feedback
This is a beautiful, comfortable, spacious home. We love this property and this was our third year staying here with the same group of friends. It is just the right size for the eight of us, with almost everything we need. Unfortunately, we have tried to give useful feedback during the last two years which seems to have fallen on deaf ears. There are small things that would make anyone's experience there more pleasant. It has been frustrating to receive no response and even more frustrating that the same small things continue to be an annoyance when every other part of our experience here has been stellar.

some issues
Property had nice backyard and nice furnishings but it was not taken care of well. It had a musty smell in much of the house especially the basement. The linen in the basement room was moist b/c of the humidity, and the smell was especially strong there.
Some other issues: There was a sock left under one of the beds, I saw a mouse running through the living room and one of the rooms was missing a window.
The management company was very responsive and they moved us to a new place for the rest of our stay.

Beautiful home, Overgrown landscape
This log cabin was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. The home was very clean, and had a fully stocked kitchen. The bathrooms even had a few toiletries. The hot tub, games, and fuse ball table were really nice add ons!
However, the landscape was completely overgrown and the yard was not useable. It took 3 calls to Vacasa to get the lawn mowed, at which point our trip was half over. Also, as advertised, there is no air-conditioning, and it does get VERY warm in the house. Not all the windows have screens, so you can't fully open up the house. 3 box fans were provided and that does provide some relief. We weren't there on super hot days too.

Great place, minor fixes needed…
Stove front left burner not working
Stove back left difficult to turn off. Turning knob a little to the right of the off position seems to get it off. Test with a splash of water.
Upstairs bedroom air conditioner is useless. It is not connected to a vent to push the hot air out, so the room actually gets hotter when you run out.
Mice droppings were in the kitchen yea drawer with evidence of chewing on some of the bags.
Foozball table is a little messed up.
Otherwise, lots of good things. Very roomy. Great layout for large family. Hot tub was great. Plenty of kitchen utensils and cooking items. Great location. We would stay here again.
Vacasa, fix the stove and upstairs air.
The cabin was nice and in a good location. Reason for 3 stars is because the listing did not mention there is no heat in the lower level where the bunk room is. There were two space heaters that failed to heat up the area, so the space was not usable especially for sleeping. More substantial blankets would've been useful in the other beds. Additionally, the bed frame in one of the bedrooms kept having the slats fall out, so I had to use a rope across the middle to tighten up the sides so the mattress would not fall through. There were also a decent amount of wasps in the living area, which was mentioned as a problem in a previous review and seems to have not been fully remedied. David, the property manager, was very helpful and offered to move us to another property, but by that point it was too late and with little kids it was not worth packing up to move for just a single night. Aesthetically, the cabin is nice but there are definitely a few areas that need to be addressed before it would be a rental property that I would recommend.

Nice Location, Poor Management Response and Overall Lack of Attention to Details
The house itself was beautiful and spacious. Unfortunately, when we arrived, there was a strange odor. All the doors inside were closed and the main floor bathroom was locked. There was a bag full of trash in the basement and it appeared none of the rugs had been vacuumed. We informed management of the locked bathroom door but by the time we received a response, I had already picked it with a bobby pin.
The hot tub had no chlorine tablets and there was an old bandaid floating around. So gross. There seemed to be little pride in caring for the property.
Pros: House was big enough for us and kids enjoyed the basement. Location was close to great hiking and grocery store.
Cons: Kitchen appliances really outdated. Need to replace oven or at the very least, clean it. Update cutlery. Lighter did not work to use the firepit. We had to go buy one. It would be nice if management thought of guests and the details that count. We would not come back here.

Plumbing problems
The house was nice. However, there was a sewage backup smell upon arrival, basement bathroom was not usable and the advertised washing maching ended up flooding the basement floor and causing the sewage smell to increase. Plus the kids bedroom with the bunk beds was in the basement where the smell was which caused them to not want to sleep in there (I don't blame them). I notified all of the proper people promptly upon our arrival of the smell and again the next day immediately after attempting to wash towels when the basement backed up with water.
They acknowledged my notifications but made zero attempts to contact us again about the problem either to fix it or make it right the entire time we stayed there. We were a group of 4 adults and 4 kids hiking and exploring for 5 days. Laundry was an essential part of why we booked this cabin instead of a hotel. We again emailed the company after our stay ended trying to address this issue and they never even bothered to reply to my email. I would not recommend using this company for rentals at all after this experience. I am only even leaving a 2 star review because the cabin was in a nice location and would have been great if it didn't smell disgusting, have no laundry capabilities and if the basement level was usable.

Definitely a log cabin in the woods
If you are looking for a cool property that feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere then this a great choice, the cabin is awesome. It was very clean, easy to access however there were three things that keeps me from giving it 5 stars.
1/ we choose our properties in fall that have fire places, this one had a pellet stove. It took me 15 mins of digging around to find instructions on how to work it and then having done that we discovered it didn’t work. We didn’t try it until last night so too late to call anybody. My feedback to the management company is please make sure the stove works before people arrive and have instructions handy. That was dissapoinitng
2/ this one may tie into number 1, there is no lighting in the main room, I think it’s intended that between the lighting of the kitchen and the stove it give enough lights. However without the stove it was just really dark and we didn’tt use the room which was a shame as it was a beautiful room. I suggest some lamps in there.
3/ Becuase the main room was so dark we ended up using the tv nook upstairs which is a wonderful space but the furniture is incredibly uncomfortable in my opinion. Which was a shame given how cozy it was.
Everything else is was great, the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, the beds are comfortable and as I said at the start the design of the cabin is wonderful.

Tree cutting tradition!
Every year we cut our tree down at the Rocks Estate and this house was the perfect home away from home for the weekend! Perfect location and very clean! We will definitely be back!
This is a beautiful log home with all the comforts and fun you need! Everything was clean and made our stay perfect. The hot tub was excellent for star gazing, morning soak and after hike relaxation. We enjoyed the games and a great fire pit as well. I will say the beds may not be the most comfortable however I never sleep well on stays away. Great place for a quiet escape!
This property offered everything our family needed, was perfectly located in the Franconia Notch State Park, so we had quick access to The Flume, Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway, The Old Man of the Mountain historic site, and a bunch of trails and nature scenes that our entire family could enjoy. Seeing a family of black bears stroll by the property was the cherry on top! Def recommend to others, and would DEF stay again!
Beautiful, spacious cabin with large dining table for a group, outdoor grill, fire pit, and hot tub. Lovely surroundings, private, and lots to do nearby. We especially enjoyed hiking the Flume Gorge and hanging out at Echo Lake Beach.
