Enjoy your stay in the recently renovated historic Matthew Walker House! Originally built in 1789, it was disassembled and moved down the street in 1977, then reassembled and added onto. This fantastic downtown location is 5-minute walk to Rupp Arena, Lexington Opera House, the Jefferson Street corridor, and loads of great restaurants. It's a short trip to The Distillery District and the rest of downtown.

Our group stayed at the property for a wedding in Lexington. The house is in a great location in walking distance to all the restaurants and bars downtown. The house was very clean and slept 7 with ease. Would highly recommend.
We stayed here over UK graduation weekend. We were able to walk to Rupp and avoid the traffic and parking congestion, as well as all of the places downtown. The inside had plenty of space for 5 adults along with bathrooms connected to each of the bedrooms. With a kitchen and outdoor seating area, it was definitely better than paying even more to stay in a small hotel room. Consider this place for any activity in downtown Lexington!
We loved the layout and the uniqueness of this home. Being the first renters coming off a long term lease there were some things that weren’t ironed out yet as expected but we enjoyed our time here and the property definitely suited our needs for our group of 11. We brought our own air mattress and there was room in both bedrooms for that space. The furniture could use an update but it went with the rustic home vibe. Overall a great house!
