A Colonial House in the heart of Laureles; a typical and safe neighborhood in Medellin, walking distance to supermarket, bars and restaurants. The house has a huge living area where patios, living room, kitchen and nature are connected. It has been completely renovated in June 2019. You will feel to be in another era. It's a perfect house to be with your family or a group of friends. The Neighborhood is residential, safe and quiet. There is a mall "exito"at 10 minutes walk where you can find everything but also don't hesitate to go to the small "tienda"around the corner to buy the basics. The owner, Don Mario will make you feel part of this neighborhood . The tienda is a part of the colombian way of life and it's quite an experience!. Restaurants and bars are 10/15 minutes walk.

The home is large and has nice architectual design but was not very clean, kitchen appliances were dirty, coffee maker had old coffee in it left from previous people. The bathrooms were dirty around the toilets. The interior gardens which are the main attraction of this house were dirty and dusty. The furniture is very rundown and decrepit. One of the art posters in the kitchen was put up with what looks like pink chewing gum. Not what you expect when your paying that much for a stay.
The house is interesting, the design felt industrial with old character. The house wasn't as bright as I thought it would be especially since having an open patio in the main living area. My favorite was laying in the hammock. If the water fountain worked it would have been great. The kitchen cabinets need to be fixed so they stay closed and the 2nd floor shower fixed but aside from that it was fine. I was glad there were fans in all the bedrooms.
This home was perfect for our family of 4; myself and my husband and our two adult children, although it would be good for two families as well.
It has a lot of open air space in the living areas which really adds to the lovely atmosphere
The kitchen is well equipped
The location is about a ten minute walk from cafes etc, very easy to call an Uber to come take you where you need to go if going into the other areas of the city
Giulio was a pleasure to work with, from my initial inquiries through check out
Would definitely recommend!
