OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
The cleaning fee added to your reservation includes the hot tub cleaning fee.

A Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT), North Lake Tahoe TBID Assessment and OV | AM MD Assessment is included in your reservation.

Propane for the BBQ and outdoor fireplace is not included. Please bring your own propane or check if there is any leftover from a previous guest. *BBQ & Fireplace may not be available for use in winter months.

Please note that living in the mountains and staying in a private home means that there are some things we cannot always control. For example, weather and harsh conditions have knocked out Wifi and the power before. While these instances are far and few between, we please ask that you are patient as these are things that we unfortunately cannot control. While we will try and accommodate all requests, we handle refunds for situations like this (power outages, appliances breaking, etc.) on a case by case basis.

One lesson we've learned about the great outdoors is the frequent requirement to wipe down the deck furniture. Despite our efforts to maintain the utmost cleanliness for your convenience, it seems that nature is working against us. You may need to wipe down the outdoor table, chairs, and any other outdoor seating. The dust and pollen accumulates within a matter of hours.

Please note that this rental does require purchasing short term vacation rental insurance for stays up to 29 nights (reservations longer than 29 nights will need to discuss insurance options with Tahoe Cohost Collective prior to booking). The SafelyStay, Inc. Trust and Safety Fee includes up to $10,000 of accidental coverage for contents damage and up to $100,000 coverage for accidental property damage and bodily injury, if the fee has been paid. Complete terms regarding the Trust and Safety coverage can be found at www. go.safely .com/tahoecohostcollective. The Trust and Safety Fee is refundable only if the reservation is canceled in writing at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the arrival date. Any deductible or minimum claim amount will be the responsibility of the Guest, and Tahoe Cohost Collective will process using the form of payment on file for Guest.

Alpine Meadows stay

Great stay for our family. Loved the cozy feel of the house and all of the fun details around. The property managers were very responsive and friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. The only issue would be if you have anyone with mobility issues as there are a lot of levels separated by 2 or 3 steps each level.

Fun funky house close to Alpine Meadows skiing in a great quiet neighborhood.

The house was wonderful. The upstairs was great for games, reading by the fire with a nice view of the mountains. The downstairs was great for kids to be loud without being disturbed. The house was well stocked if you like to cook. It's a really cozy house with lots of amenities and the location is great.

Funky and wonderful

Yes, there are lots of stairs, but the multiple levels of this home make for much delight! Cozy nooks, comfortable seating and lots of interesting posters and art pieces. Really super communication. Very convenient to Alpine Meadows ski resort.

Great place, fun stay

We loved our stay at this funky cabin. The owners/managers are immediately responsive with any questions or issues, and the place itself is super cool. We were not able to ski (resorts closed with corona) but we had plenty of fun sledding right out the door and taking walks in the beautiful neighborhood. The house is well equipped with everything you could ever imagine and the layout allows for nice separation should you want it. We'll be back!

Nice ski house

Great location close to alpine. It was only a few minute drive to the mountain. The kitchen was very well stocked and it was nice that they had a nespresso machine. Would have been nice to be able to park in the garage because of the amount of snow while we were there, but the driveway had enough parking for 4 cars. The hot tub was really nice. The kids room had tons of beds in it. None of the bedrooms had a master suite bathroom, which wasn’t much of an issue, but it would have been nice. We will definitely try to stay here again.

Ski weekend in March

As others have mentioned the pictures don't really do this place justice. It's beautifully decorated and laid out. Super cozy. Perfect for 2 families or one large family group. The playroom and hot tub are great. Kitchen was probably the most stocked vrbo kitchen I've been in. All the spices, oil etc. you'll need. Stuart the host is super responsive and great to work with.

Book It!

My friends and I booked this home for our annual Tahoe trip to celebrate some birthdays and it was amazing!! The layout is very goofy, but it adds to the fun of the home. One of my friends described it best as a treehouse, with all the stairs to the bedrooms down below, and the living area up top. The kitchen is well stocked, parking was aplenty, hot tub was pure bliss and the view (albeit smoky) was gorgeous. It gets pretty warm, and there’s no AC but lots of fans to move around the air. All-in-all, we very much enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Great location and ideal layout for two families

We stayed here for a few days in between Christmas and New Year’s, in order to ski and hang out with extended family in the Squaw Creek Area as well as Tahoma. This location was ideal, close to skiing and Tahoe City shopping and dining. The kids room/game room was most impressive, with comfortable beds for 6+ and a lot of play space. My 3.5 year old daughter fell in love with the secret cubby off of the living room and even napped in there with all of her toys. Kitchen was decently equipped for cooking and entertaining. Would definitely stay here again! **There are a lot of steps/half-levels so I wouldn’t recommend it for elderly or stair-challenged folks.

Welcome to our Alpine Meadows home! I purchased it with 4 ski pals in 1996 when several rooms still had late 1970's shagadellic carpeting. 20+ years later, after lots of loving care and improvements, it has become the favorite retreat of my wife and two daughters when we need a break from the San Francisco fog. It's seen every kind of family holiday and celebration and we hope you will enjoy your time here as much as we have over the years.

To help us provide you the best Lake Tahoe experience, we partner with Tahoe Cohost Collective. As our cohosts, they will be available to you to answer any questions you may have and provide recommendations for you as you are planning your trip.

Why they chose this property

Welcome to the funk house! This is a traditional family ski house located in the heart of Alpine Meadows! It is minutes away (less than a mile) from the base of Alpine Meadows, which has some of the best skiing and riding in the area. We are also close to 89, with easy access to Lake Tahoe, Truckee, Squaw Valley, etc. This is a great home for a family looking to spend some quality time in a TRUE ski lodge! Don't forget to check out the fully stocked game closet!

What makes this property unique

This house has so much character. As a ski family, all the decor and art is based around skiing and mountain life. You are so close to the base of Alpine Meadows, and nestled under the beautiful Tahoe pines. We have three bedrooms and a huge game room/bunk room with tons of fun and games. Our hot tub is the perfect place to relax after a day on the slopes or adventuring around the lake.
