The cabin was beautiful but the best part was the beautiful view. Nothing but mountain range all around and a small view of the Beech Mountain ski slopes. The company was very nice and checked in on us. We would love to stay again.
Lots of rest and relaxation. The weather is perfect to beat the heat back home! We loved the historic feel due to decorations and furniture. The porch with hot tub was our favorite place! We stayed out there most of the time! A great summer getaway and great location in Banner Elk and Boone area! Highly Recommend!
We loved the cabin. The view was great, felt very secluded with just the right amount of privacy. There are neighboring cabins, but you hardly know it. Kitchen was well stocked and even had both types of coffee makers, which was great because we are coffee people. We didn't realize that there was a fireplace, that was a great surprise! We lucked out and didn't have to deal with snow, I wouldn't underestimate their instructions when it comes to bad weather. The cabin is a fair way up a steep gravel road. Plus side, the road was very well maintained. It's a new cabin, but was very well decorated. It felt very homely. We are already making plans to come back again. We really enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful cabin. The smell of the wood when you walk in is amazing.. Hot tub was very nice but there was no view because of the trees. The house was very clean except the bedding was dirty in both rooms luckily we found extra bedding. Overall a great place I would come again.
It was a very nice and quiet place just what I was looking for

Great house and views!
This was for a nice weekend getaway for two and it was great. It is far enough from the crowds but not too far from everything. My only complaints are the beds were hard as rocks (I know some people prefer that) and also the mirrors were all antique looking and therefore very hard to put on makeup :) Furnishing was nice and hot tub with view was perfect! I would say it could use a better cleaning but nothing that was bothering me.

Great Property pretty close to Boone
Great Cabin , views should be great in Fall and winter ! A lot of trees so in the summer not a lot to see . Cabin about 50 ft below front porch but still felt somewhat private . Good local .

Peaceful, clean and great view
We had a great time and would definitely return. The only downside was the directions that we were given, we were lost and it took a long time to find the cabin after a long drive. The map and written directions were very hard to follow.

Lacks curb appeal but cabin was lovely!
I took my mother to Hawk Feather for a couple of days for her birthday. I called Anderson Mountain Rentals the day before our arrival to see if we could check in before 4:00. I was told that I would receive a phone call letting me know if that was possible, I never received that call. Upon arriving I was disappointed at the curb appeal of the cabin. The front porch had a wicker chair that was in need of repairs and there were other items that should have been stored away in the tool shed. The landscaping needs attention. Upon entering the cabin we were pleasantly surprised. It is nicely furnished and the kitchen had all the conveniences of home. The back deck is beautiful! Lots of seating, however, the dining table is in need of repair. There are limited mountain views but it was nice listening to the birds singing and enjoying the cool air. The hot tub was nice but I wish we could have turned it off when it wasn't in use. It shuts off at some point but comes on in the middle of the night, which can be heard throughout the cabin. Beds were comfortable but I recommend bringing your own pillows. The kitchen has some high end appliances and fixtures in the bathrooms so I was puzzled why they don't have better pillows and ceiling fans in the bedrooms. I recommend bringing your own pillows.
Our last day a load of mulch was delivered and later in the evening someone came to work on the landscaping. They did a nice job but it would have been nice if Anderson Mountain rentals would have let us know workers were coming or better yet, have the work completed when there are no renters on the property. All in all the cabin is lovely and clean and we enjoyed our time away.

Peaceful, clean, amazing views, comfortable
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The location works for seclusion, but close enough to town. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking so it allowed us to stay in and prepare our own meals, and eat on the deck with incredible views. The cabin really felt homey due to the cleanliness and decor. It was just an overall great feeling as soon as we walked in. Although we didn't use the hot tub, the view from the hot tub is perfectly placed for relaxation. Our family enjoyed quiet and relaxing evenings by the fire and playing games/puzzles. There are two TVS in the cabin, but we never felt the need to watch them...the view was better than anything TV can offer. We will return soon!

disconnecting from reality while taking in the beauty!
We booked this cabin last minute and could not have had a better experience (first time using this site and going to the Boone area). Wendy was simply amazing making my life and our last minute urgent trip everything and more. The cabin is at the top with great views (there is a cabin below and off to the left, we didn't hear or see them even though there were people there). Everything was new, cozy and felt like home as soon as we walked in the door (kitchen was fully stocked with all the items needed to cook). We enjoyed the hot tub and eating breakfast out on the porch while watching the sunrise. We adventure around a few nearby towns and went to some local breweries (a must)! If you want to get away from reality and just spend time with the ones you love, this place is exactly that! Thank you again, we will be back :)

Great location, very relaxing, beautiful views.
The cabin is nicely located at the top of the hill with beautiful views from the hot tub. The kitchen is easy to work in to make a quick meal. The back deck facing the mountains is a great place to have a meal at the table or relax in the rocking sofa or soak in the hot tub. There's 2 great master suites, one upstairs and one downstairs so it's perfect for 2 couples. You do have a house right below you but it still felt very private.
We wanted seclusion and privacy so it worked just great for that and Boone is only 20 minutes away if you want to go grab a beer amongst other people. I'd definitely stay there again.
