Spectacular ocean and beach view 2 BR condo, steps from the ocean!

E Komo Mai! Welcome to 603 Kamaole Beach Royale, our home away from home.

We enjoy a spectacular view of the beach, the ocean, and the neighbour islands from the sixth floor of Kamaole Beach Royale, a seven-story building situated right across the street from Kamaole Beach #1 in south Kihei. Kamaole Beach #1 is one of three famous beaches within walking distance and was voted Maui’s #1 swimming beach by Maui Revealed, (2014 Edition).

Our condo, which we purchased in May, 2019, is tastefully furnished and decorated, featuring original Hawaiian artwork gathered over the many years our family has lived on Maui, Hawaii’s “Valley Isle”. We have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a private, double lanai, (deck) accessible from both living room and master bedroom.

In the last few months we have purchased high-quality linens, bath towels, beach towels, Hawaiiana designer dishware, new lanai furniture, artwork, and living room furniture. Our kitchen is fully-stocked with everything you need to enjoy home-cooked dinners on our ocean-view lanai. We keep pantry essentials stocked for our guests, including tea, coffee, spices, olive oil, avacado oil, and vinegars.

Our master bedroom opens to the double lanai, which overlooks the beach & ocean, and features a queen-sized, 4 poster bed with 800 thread count sheets and custom, designer bedspread. The ocean will lull you to sleep every night.

Our second bedroom, facing Mt Haleakalaa, has a queen-sized "sleigh bed", 800 thread count sheets, and custom Hawaiiana bedspread. Wake to see the sunrise over Haleakalaa.

We are pleased to offer our guests the use of our many beach toys, including two quality snorkel sets (man’s and woman’s mask, fins, and snorkel) 4 Tommy Bahama beach chairs, umbrella, frisbees, various beach balls, and coolers and “cold bags” - great for picnics on the beach or for hiking up Haleakalaa. We have binoculars on hand for whale-watching from the lanai during whale season (December - April).

We provide complementary high-speed Wi-fi and toll-free calling to the US mainland and to Canada. Our condo is maintained on an ongoing basis with assistance from our on-island representatives, Orvill and Julie Garren, who make sure everything is in place prior to your arrival. Orvill (who was our renovation contractor) and Julie are available to provide any assistance you might need during your stay.

The views from our private lanai are especially spectacular at sunset. At sunrise, the tiny island birds will greet you from the palm tree fronds that reach the lanai, and, if you provide even the slightest encouragement, they will be on the lanai with you. (Please do not let them come into the condo!)

Kamaole Beach Royale, is a beautifully landscaped, concrete-frame, and, therefore, very quiet, building. Take advantage of the lovely pool and surrounding gardens, and, as a special treat, visit the KBR rooftop garden, equipped with tables, lounges and commercial grade BBQ’s. Enjoy the 180 view from the rooftop garden and meet other KBR guests over a sunset drink.

Or, just chill out on your private lanai in # 603 and watch the sun slowly set over the ocean and the neighbour islands. If you like, try our conch shell on the lanai: it's a Hawaiian tradition to blow the conch at sunset. If you need a conch lesson, take in the free hulu show and torch-lighting ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel in Wailea. (Ask the torch lighter for some insider tips;-)

First timers

Was our first time to Hawaii and couldn’t have asked for a better location! Perfect views of the ocean from the lanai and such an easy walk to a beautiful beach. Loved the convenience of it all including the cafe and gelato across the street. Having the beach towels and boogie boards was such a great bonus.

Very clean and accommodating. Amazing view. Excellent location near to shopping and restaurants. Short walk to the beach and the pool is available if you would rather stay close to home. Would definitely stay again if the opportunity arises.

This is an outstanding condo the view is incredible the condo was fully stocked communication with Wendy was excellent we did not have to need or want for anything the amenities were outstanding! Very comfortable beds the showers were great everything was just pure excellence! Just steps away from the ocean the coffee in the morning on the Lanai watching the sunrise and wine in the evenings watching the sunset was unreal! Great Location All Around

Communication with owner was easy and very responsive. Condo was exceptionally clean and well-equipped with high end furnishings and kitchen/picnic/beach supplies. Our favorite thing was the awesome rattan recliners on the lanai! We spent a lot of time in them, from coffee in the morning to wine in the evening to watch the sunset and/or the electric bike parade from the 6th floor. Easily walkable to the beach, restaurants and shops. We wouldn’t change a thing - would definitely stay here again!

Very comfortable, nicely-furnished/decorated condo

We (two adults) enjoyed the accommodations, convenient location, and ocean/sunset views from the lanai for five days. The condo is comfortable, beautifully decorated, well-appointed with everything needed in kitchen and bathrooms, and has comfortable beds, nice & plentiful towels, and beach gear. Handy location for walks and beach-time on close-by Kihei beaches; and quite a few shops/restaurants were within walking distance. Location is a strong advantage for getting to other stores, restaurants, and the airport. An unavoidable issue for one person who needed to work remotely most mornings, was gardeners working nearby and garbage trucks repeatedly doing pick-ups were noisy, requiring closing sliding doors and working inside, rather than sitting in the lanai enjoying the mild breezes. This would be a lesser concern for vacationers going out to other activities every morning. It was nice to enjoy comfortable chairs on the lanai later in the day. Parking was sometimes tight, but we were never unable to find a spot in the condo lot. The patio on the top floor with BBQs was nice, although we didn't have a chance to use it.

Amazing Value

What can we say, simply fantastic. From the first inquiry with Wendy to check out, communication was excellent. Always accommodating and pleasant. This VRBO felt like home. Clean, fully stocked, great location. Comfortable beds and the double lanai is such a great addition. The property is maintained very well and although we didn’t use the pool much it is one of the cleanest we’ve experienced. Given the opportunity, we would rebook in a heartbeat. Perfect home & location

The condo was a perfect size for our family of four. First, it was centrally located so we had a convenient drive to all of our planned excursions. The beach was RIGHT across the street. The condo was equipped with beach chairs, towels, cooler, and umbrella for our use. We really appreciated this. The ocean view right from our balcony was fantastic, we enjoyed many sunsets. We didn’t do much cooking here, but the kitchen was fully stocked with anything we needed. The beds were comfortable and towels soft. All toiletries were fully stocked. Thank you for letting us enjoy your home!

Home away from home

Wendy’s condo is conveniently located across Kamaole Beach 1, right in the heart of Kihei close to restaurants, bakeries, grocers. The condo is very clean/spacious and equipped with all the amenities that you need for cooking. The double lanai with recliners and dining table/chairs were great for outdoor dining, reading, whale watching and lovely sunsets. Wendy is a great host and very accommodating and generous….you will not regret booking her lovely home!!

Great location awesome views and comfortable

We feel this is the best location in Kihei. Very convenient for walking to beach, shopping, going to meals, coffee and even fresh bread in the morning. Large lanai with very comfy furniture. The condo had all the amenities we needed and very comfortable beds and linens. After a few hours at the beach we also enjoyed the well maintained pool, always clean. Wendy the owner is so easy to communicate with that she feels like a friend. Can’t wait to go back and would highly recommend.

South Maui encourages visitors

Amazing condo with gorgeous 180 degree view and very nice artwork. More like someone’s home rather than a vacation rental. Everything has been well thought out and Wendy responds immediately to any questions. The location is great as well. Just across the street from Kamaole 1. Lots of good food options within walking distance.

Kihei Paradise

This was one of our favorite family vacations. Wendy’s condo is in a great location, right across the street from the beach. The views from the balcony are absolutely beautiful. Tons of stores and restaurants nearby. The condo had all the necessities, including beach towels and beach chairs/umbrellas. We hope to one day return and stay here again. Picture Perfect Paradise

This would be the best holiday condo we have ever stayed in. The owner Wendy has thought of everything holiday makers might need and has provided it. The condo is a true home away from home. The condo is well presented and was very clean. It's a great size inside. The beds are really comfy and ceiling fans, screen doors and aircon give you plenty of options for cooling the condo. The supersized lanai has amazing sea views and is the perfect spot for sunset viewing. The complex has a lovely pool, plenty of parking and is in a great location across the road from the beach which is ideal for swimming, snorkelling and turtle spotting. Shops, a great cafe and restaurants are across the road too. It's a very relaxed and friendly complex and you feel safe and secure here. We would recommend Wendy's wonderful condo to anyone looking for a 2 bedroom place to stay in Kihei. Mahalo Wendy from our family.

From the initial check-in to check-out everything was wonderful. Owner was very responsive. Unit itself was perfect. The views, the kitchen supplies, utensils, beach toys, etc. all excellent. Very clean unit. The view is even better than the photos show. Walk a couple of minutes and your feet are in the sand. I highly recommend and will use this condo again my self. Mahalo

Heaven On Earth

Four senior friends stayed at this condo for the week. Fantastic property and perfect location. The details and photos in the listing are all true. Never get tired of waking up to the gorgeous ocean, islands in the distance, palm trees and perfect weather. We had an amazing time. The condo was comfortable and well maintained. You will not be sorry when you rent this property. It’s very convenient to shops, restaurants and easy access to main roads when touring the island. The owner, Wendy, was the best, and always responded to any questions quickly. Highly recommend.

My husband, Bob and I love Maui and we love Kamaole Beach Royale. We first came to Maui when my parents lived on the island from 1985-2005. Our children learned to surf at Charley Young Beach, just north of Kamaole Beach 1. Now our 4 year old and 7 year old grandsons are learning to surf.

In 2011, Bob and I bought a one bedroom condo (509) at Kamaole Beach Royale. We loved owning this condo and were blessed with wonderful guests over the years, several of whom have become friends. We earned 102 reviews, with a cumulative rating of 4.9 out of a possible 5.0.

As our family is now growing again, with married children and little grandchildren, we decided, in the spring of 2019, to purchase 603, a two bedroom double lanai condo on the sixth floor of KBR which had just come on the market. There are only 2 of these special condos on each floor of our building. Bob and I love falling to sleep in the master bedroom to sound of the waves. We hope this beautiful condo will be in our family for many years to come!

Why they chose this property

Kamaole Beach Royale is one of a very few concrete frame buildings in Kihei. As a result, it is very quiet and is protected from damage by termites. KBR is located right across the street from Kamaole Beach 1, one of the three famous Kamaole beaches in south Kihei., and has unobstructed views of the ocean. from the 4th to 7th floors. It is a 3 minute walk to Kamaole Beach 1, a beautiful and safe beach with gentle access for children and full-time life guard protection.
