The Canadiana room is a 1 bedroom studio suite with bathroom. Located at Mt Washington's beautiful Bear lodge. This studio is equipped with coffee, microwave, hot tub in building, TV, Wifi, table for two and a queen bed. Endless views and spectacular natural settings are free. Just what you need for an overnight or weekend getaway. Ski or ride in and out. This is a mountainside studio facing the Comox glacier and other coastal mountains. The Ski lodge is within short walking distance, suitable for mountain biking and new for this season zip lining.

Mount Washington on shoulder season

The room was good however the windows were so dirty it was hard to see any if the scenery. It would have been nice to be told that there would be nothing open on the mountain. Had to drive to Courtney for food.

Overall an affordable and convenient place for 1 ir 2 ppl looking to spend a few days on the slopes. The easy ski in/ski out access eas a huge perk. Unfortunately the hot tub was closed for maintenance which, while not the fault of the host, was disappointing as that had been one of the reasons we had opted for this location specifically. Arrival, parking, check in and check out was seamless and there was enough in room that we were able to put together a few meals. Note that, especially on week days, the food options on the mountain are limited (we showed up to the one bar in the lodge hoping to grab a drink around 830pm and it was closed despite the online hours saying 10pm). The host provided combination of coffee maker, microwave, toaster and fridge was perfect to get along for a few days with the groceries we had brought. My only suggestions would be possibly offering a can opener as well as a little bin to tuck recyclables into for those apres ski cans. Otherwise it was a perfectly cosy spot for myself and my husband.

Sweet spot

We stayed at one of the only true ski in and out accommodation on the mountain It is located right on the ski run for easy stopping and leaving the accommodation. It is a small room with just a bed and a small table. Everything you need for skiing and sleeping and all the basic are there. It also has a shared hot tub which is nice to relax after a day of sking .

Great spot for a solo traveler

Room is simple but everything you need to enjoy the mountain. Ski in ski out (just leave your stuff in the car).

First ski trip

My 6 year old and I stayed here for an overnight ski trip. We were exhausted after the day and were so glad to be staying on the mountain. The room had everything we needed and more to just relax and rest. As a parent I really appreciated the full table and chairs (and dishes). Although we didn't really need them this time, it's always better for us to have a real surface for eating meals.

Ski Getaway

The place was just as the pictures showed. A 5 minute walk to the main building where we ate Lunch and Dinner. We enjoyed some time in the hot tub, which was located on the same floor. Host responded quickly to any of our questions.

Great communication. Right on the mountain for ski in, ski out. Plan ahead if you want to book a time for the hot tub. Another garbage bin and recycling bin in the mayarea would be nice too.

It's a great spot for a quiet retreat in the summer. Easy access to miles of nearby trails. Excellent location for winter skiers as well. Very quiet in the summer and the weather was exceptional. Lots of wildlife to see in the nearby Paradise Meadows. I recommend this unit as it was exactly as advertised. Thanks!

Wonderful stay all around, will definitely be back. Had a bit of a hiccup when the entry code didn’t work on arrival and couldn’t get a hold of host, but managed to touch base with the property manager who let us in. Host connected with us later in the evening and gave us a new code that worked. Definitely recommending this to friends!

The room photographs well but it is very small with a big price. Dirty window (& sill), person in charge told us it was dirty because it was acrylic, hoping to see outside for the view it was a little disappointing, acrylic or glass it was dirty and needs a good cleaning along with the bathrm fan cover was grimmy. We both had an uncomfortable sleep because the mattress was terrible and the fridge beside the bed made gurgling sounds all night. Additional fees like: property fee of 25.00, service fee of 20.00, taxes & fees 23.10 were another $68.10 ontop of the cost of the room. Hmmmm!
