ROCHAUBERT

Located 4 kms from Lantriac, 850 meters above sea level Rochaubert is below a basaltic cliff sheltering ancient troglodyte dwellings. It is a typical village of Velay, with a mission cross dated 1689 and a house of assembly recognizable by its bell whose sound once punctuated the daily life of the country.
Built in volcanic stones, the house in which we welcome you is a traditional vellave farm. It is located at the end of the village and therefore sheltered from nuisance neighbors. The interior has been completely renovated very recently with a concern for functionality and modernity and also the goal of preserving the charm of old stones and the pleasure of evenings by the fireplace.
From the garden planted with local species, the view is surprising, between sky, mountain, nature, and volcanoes.
The city of Le Puy is nearby, 15 kms and Mont Mézenc about twenty Kms. This offers you the possibility, in any season, of beautiful hikes and the discovery of the surrounding tourist sites: City of Puy-en-Velay, Chemins de Compostela, Loire riverside from its source at Gerbier des Joncs, Numerous Romanesque churches, Massifs du Mézenc (ski resort) and Meygal ...

Rural and picturesque

Lovely place to stay although please know the property has 2 accommodations - one unit on top and one unit below which means sharing limited parking. Floorboards and doors are extremely noisy and creak. View is sensational.

Wunderschönes Anwesen in schönste Landschaft eingebettet

Wir haben 2 Wochen in diesem tollen Haus verbracht und sie sehr genossen. Es ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts. Man kann direkt von der Haustür aus loswandern. Es gibt tolle Schlösser und Museen zu entdecken Wir möchten gerne wieder kommen

Absolut ruhig mit fantastischen Ausblick

Wir wurden von den Vermietern vor Ort herzlich empfangen. Das Objekt liegt am Rand einer winzigen Siedlung und es ist somit sehr ruhig. Der Ausblick ist durch die erhöhte Lage einfach fantastisch. Jedoch sollte man bedenken, dass man zum Bäcker mit dem Fahrrad 15 Minuten bergrunter braucht und 30 Minuten bergauf zurück. Der nächste Intermarché war 20 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich, legen Wert auf rücksichtsvollen Umgang mit der Wohnung und dem Inventar und hätten sich gerne noch weit mehr mit uns unterhalten wollen. Allerdings sprechen sie leider kein Englisch oder Deutsch und wir kein Französisch. Aber dafür gibt es ja Mobiltelefone. Die Unterkunft war für uns ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nach Le Puy-en-Velay, an die Loire und den Allier, sowie andere sehenswerte Orte. Leider gab es kein WLAN und der Funkempfang war nur außerhalb der Wohnung gut.

Excellent séjour, au calme. François et Cathy sont des hôtes attentionnés. La location est confortable, décorée avec goût. Rien ne manque. La vue sur la vallée est superbe.

Logement et emplacement au top !

Nous avons passé 3 nuits dans le logement de François et nous avons pu profiter de la vue magnifique de la terrasse et du confort de la maison. Belle situation pour les balades, proche du Puy en Velay. Bref, nous recommandons ce logement sans problème.

Die Ferienwohnung ist geschmackvoll renoviert und voll ausgestattet. So konnten wir uns sofort wie zu Hause fühlen. Die ruhige Lage, eine fantastische Aussicht und -nicht zu vergessen- Francois als freundlicher und sehr aufmerksamer Vermieter machten die Unterkunft für unseren Auvergneurlaub perfekt.

Séjour parfait

La maison est sublime et tout à fait conforme aux photos. La vue est dégagée et l'endroit est calme sans être peureux. La région vaut vraiment le détour. La maison a été rénovée avec beaucoup de soin, on s'y sent bien immédiatement. Les lits sont très confortables. François et son épouse sont à l'image de leur maison : accueillants et attentionnés. Nous avons passé des vacances de rêves et nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Séjour en Haute Loire maison individuelle de qualité

Maison de caractère correspondant en tous points à l'annonce. Très propre, décorée avec goût dans un environnement très calme, exactement ce que nous recherchions. Très beau gîte très bien placé

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par François qui nous a donné de très bons conseils pour visiter la région. Le gîte est très bien rénové et décoré, fonctionnel et propre. L’espace de vie est grand ainsi que les chambres. La terrasse devant l’entrée est agréable, très belle vue au calme. Un petit bémol pour le jardin très en pente donc moins praticable mais les enfants ont profité de tout l’espace quand les locataires du petit gîte en-dessous n’étaient pas là. Très bon emplacement pour découvrir la région, je recommande!

This is a wonderful house, impossible to beat. Superbly designed with great attention given to the interior decoration. It had a lovely terrace that caught the evening sun and gave great views over an exceptional landscape. The owners were very helpful and friendly, we would love to visit again, highly recommended.

Calme et magnifique

Emplacement idéal pour se ressourcer et en même temps très proche d'une grande ville comme le puy en velay. Vue magnifique sur la vallée. Bref on a passé une superbe semaine!

Gîte très cosy pour un séjour au calme

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Lantriac. Les propriétaires nous ont réservé un accueil très chaleureux. Le gîte est décoré avec beaucoup goût, il est très fonctionnel et bien équipé. Nous avons profité du beau patrimoine altiligérien aux alentours, et du calme de la campagne. Nous espérons y revenir un jour !
