Renovation Dates: 1/4/25 - 3/7/25
We have applied a 25% discount due to refurbishments to the interiors of various condos in the F building. The standard nightly rate is $255 + tax & $180 cleaning fee. The discounted rate will be $191 + tax and cleaning.
There are 17 timeshare units out of 25 units that will be renovated, two to 3 at a time.
The majority of the work on these units was done in 2022. However, permits to complete all the work needed to be done were unavailable until just recently. Two to 3 units will be done at a time, some of which may have more of an impact on your stay than others. We have already remodeled our condo. ****If you make a reservation, please let me know that you are aware of the reno.
All work will be on the interior of the units so noise will be kept to a minimum. During certain times of the day, you will hear some power tool noises, hammering and movement of the workers. Renovation work will begin 9:00 am or later and will cease by 4:30 pm Monday through Saturday. No work will happen on Sundays and holidays. If you plan to be out and about during the day sightseeing and experiencing some island adventures, the construction should not impact you. However, if you just wanted to stay and relax in the condo during the day, this may not be ideal for you.
Our fabulous ocean view will not be impacted in any way.

Our condo is a corner unit on the 2nd floor that has been completely remodeled. The condo has a window in the eating area which allow for great cross ventilation. Custom-made cherry cabinets and granite counter tops have been installed in our fully equipped kitchen & bathroom. Porcelain tiles grace the entry, bathroom and kitchen.The bathroom has a large tiled walk-in shower with a corner seat.
The condo comes with all the amenities listed above. Added amenities include a Fijitsu A/C mini-split system in the living area & bedroom, FREE SECURE WiFi internet connection, a 40" smart HD TV in the living room & a 32" smart HD TV in the bedroom (both with on-demand), beach toys, chairs, coolers, umbrellas, boogie boards, and tennis rackets for your use during your staying at our condominium.
The Pono Kai resort is a non-smoking property. The resort provides a front desk that is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. There is onsite free parking. Each building has a coin-operated laundry facility and an elevator. The grounds are beautifully maintained with extensive grass areas, an herb garden so you can pick fresh herbs for your meals and a Koi pond. For your convenience, there is an activities desk so you can arrange for your island adventures. A workout room has also been added. There is a 7-mile multi-use coastal path just steps in front of our condo. There is a pool/spa area and 1 tennis court, 1 pickleball court, ping pong table and many other on-property activities.
Maximum of 3 people. Children 10 and older are welcome.
