Disappointing

We were camping at White Star Campground and needed "overflow" accommodations for our adult children. The views from the porch of this property are spectacular. It is in a remote location, secluded and a little difficult to get to without an SUV. All of which we were fine with. However, the listing shows "3 Bedrooms"; it only has 2. One bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has 1 queen bed and 2 sets of bunkbeds. We had a major problem with wasps and Miller Moths in the cabin; they were coming in through the gaps in the walls that we could see daylight through. My daughter found a moth inside her pillow case, reminding her of Girl Scout camp. There were wasp nests under multiple eaves of the roof covering the porch. The kitchen was simply gross: a pot of spaghetti in the oven; mold in the water pitcher; mold in some of the food in the cabinet; ants crawling across the countertop. They were trying to alleviate the ant problem by putting baits on the counter. It was also a little creepy that there were deer leg bones hanging on the outside of the house. There is an outhouse on the property which is kind of quaint. But it wasn't usable because it was obvious that a rodent had been in there and tore up the toilet paper and left droppings. We have stayed at multiple VRBO properties and never had a problem; this one was just disappointing.

Amazing place on the base of mount Elbert! Couldn’t get over the views!

The property was great, a perfect place to stay the night. The surrounding community of twin lakes was amazing, very kind people! One of our favorite things about the place was the night sky! We have never seen stars like that before. Overall a great stay in one of my favorite locations in Colorado.
