The Hacienda. Sprawling Ranch Home

Beautiful home situated on 3 rolling acres with natural springs. Lots of natural light throughout the Hacienda. Located 5 minutes from downtown historic district. The Hacienda sits in a country setting with fabulous sunsets, country lanes to walk, very scenic and relaxing. Surrounded by 300 acres of farmland. You’ll love my home because of its location, ambiance, and the proximity to Madison's historic district and the commercial hilltop. Enjoy the great views, sunsets and starry skies. Wake up to a varied selection of teas, coffees, cereals and other light breakfast items.
Great room, and cook's kitchen with fully stocked pantry. The kitchen leads into living and dining rooms. Additional large family room/TV room. There are toy bins, port-a-crib and high chair. A great setup for kids playing or watching television, while adults enjoy conversation in the great area. Spacious home is great for family or friends to getaway. Lots of gardens and plenty of outdoor activities and several outdoor dining spaces and sitting areas. Hacienda is decorated with original artwork, many from local artists. One bathroom is fully handicap accessible with roll-in shower. Ramp is available.

Fall Getaway

The house was very clean, and very well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. The only comment I would make is that it would be nice to have the house number marked at the end of driveway a little better. We did enjoy our Fall Getaway at the Hacienda. Thanks! Carol

Accomodates a large family

We were in the area for a wedding at Richmond on the River. The house is absolutely beautiful inside and out. Elizabeth was such a gracious host. She was so welcoming. She provided everything you could ever think of needing and more. The grandchildren loved the toys. My wife enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the hummingbirds. The sunsets by the cornfield were stunning. Her garden and canning stories inspired us to make one in the spring. The house was close to everything. My grown children and young grandchildren enjoyed our stay. It truly felt like a home away from home.

La Hacienda is a perfect property

I knew I had made the right choice when I saw the outside of the property and the chance encounter with host Elizabeth in the lane sealed the deal! The house is situated exactly as described. It is beautiful and peaceful inside and out. Spacious and lovely rooms and views for the 8 of us plus a two year old. Thoughtfully stocked pantry. A perfect get away at a reasonable price. Every one of us would go back on a moments notice.

Such a lovely home!

My friends and I had the best weekend in Elizabeth's home! She was a wonderful hostess. The place was clean and she stocked the place with all the necessities. I loved the artsy feel of the home. We plan to book again next year!

We stayed with all my sisters, and mother for her 91st bday. Had a wonderful time, we love Madison. Every meal was terrific! We will recommend this house to everyone. Very nice place, we loved it! Thank you so much!

Great family set up!

This property is incredibly beautiful! The rooms are large and very functional and the home is in a pristine setting! There are two sitting rooms that allows for everyone to do their own thing. We had a 94 year-old with limited mobility and this home was perfect!

Gracious hostess beautiful sprawling property in the country with quick drive to historic Madison.

We had 4 generations staying for a 1st Communion in the family we could not have asked for a better location and set up for family with children Elizabeth was so gracious and offered lots of toys. Very very clean property

Large house for a large/diverse group

We had 3 separate family units, and the house was great for our family. Very close to Madison, IN and the Ohio River. The host welcomed us, and was very friendly and accommodating. The kitchen was stocked with more food/spices/etc than other places we have stayed. I would stay here again.

Perfect country getaway

We stayed at the Hacienda for a much needed weekend getaway. The home is darling with lots of unique artwork, a nice kitchen, and plenty of space to spread out. There were toys inside and out for the kids to play with, and spending time with Elizabeth's dog was a wonderful highlight of the trip! We enjoyed taking family walks, climbing trees, watching the sunsets, and roasting s'mores in the outdoor fire pit. Elizabeth was on hand for anything we needed but we had plenty of privacy. We look forward to another trip out to Madison again soon, and hope to explore the historic downtown and visit Clifty Falls. Many thanks to Elizabeth for sharing her beautiful home and property with our family ❤️

Wonderful experience, very good value for money.

We had a great time and the owner was very service-oriented and pleasant. The house was immaculately clean, very roomy with all the modern tech offerings such as wi-fi, Hulu, Netflix, etc. The location was beautiful with great views and only literally a few minutes out of town. One of the few AirBnB's to accommodate a larger group. We had 10 and had plenty of room. Definitely highly recommended and will rent again if we are in the area.

Quiet Get-Away

This was a wonderful place to get together with friends for a few days. It was away from any hustle and bustle yet less than 10 minutes to the center of town and a short drive to Clifty Falls State Park for some beautiful scenery, hiking, and picnicking. The home was spacious, clean, and well-stocked with kitchen needs. Elizabeth, the host was very gracious and helpful. We definitely recommend this home. We would love to come again with our grandchildren.

Cozy yet spacious

Our group of 6 women loved the space Elizabeth has so thoughtfully created. Don’t be fooled by this house being described as a “ranch,” as the interior is very open and bright. The setting is lovely and can be seen from inside the house. The kitchen is well-stocked. The location is only a few minutes to downtown and Clifty Falls. Elizabeth lives at the edge of the property so if you need anything she’s just a phone call away. We’d love to come back. Thanks, Elizabeth.

Beautiful Country Home

Gorgeous, clean, well equipped home with a country feel yet just minutes away from charming downtown Madison. Spacious feel, lots of natural light, original artwork and interesting decor, plenty of room for guests to spread out. Full kitchen with fresh spices, teas and other cooking supplies. A fun escape to a historic rivertown

We picked Madison, IN as a midway point from our families driving from Florida and Wisconsin. Without knowing much about the area, we found downtown Madison (2 miles from the home) to be beautiful and historic. We hit the Saturday farmers market and enjoyed ice cream, wineries, breweries, and unique local dining. There was great hiking trails close by at Clifty State park. The home is beautiful, comfortable, and very clean. The home was equipped with lots of space for tv entertainment and family game nights. The property is beautiful set on a hill amidst a corn field. Thank you for such a fun weekend in your beautiful home.

Amazing Stay

Practically a perfect place for any getaway you are looking for. If you want to experience the city Downtown Madison is a very short drive away. If you prefer to stay on-site for peace and quiet the house is tucked up in the hills with plenty of space and room to do whatever activities, indoor or outdoor, you desire. The owner Elizabeth is very friendly and will answer any questions you may have about the home or area. There is also the added bonus of her dog Zoe who will roll over an give up her belly if she sees you are coming to pet her.

Clifty Falls State park

The home we stayed in was wonderful. Plenty of room for everyone. Elizabeth made us feel very welcome. Close to Madison and Clifty Falls State Park. We loved all the rugged trails at the park.

Serene and peaceful!

If you are looking for amazing sunset views, wildlife and peaceful quiet, this is your spot! We loved this home. From the welcome from Elizabeth herself, to that beautiful, fully equipped and clean home!! We enjoyed every moment we were there and didn’t want to leave. Thank you for everything Elizabeth! Our kiddos loved Zoe and we can’t wait to come back and see you both again! This home is tucked away in a great little hill but is so close to downtown and up on the hill places too.
