About this property
Apartment in the Historic Center of Carloforte, Island of San Pietro, Sardegna
This is a wonderful apartment in the heart of Carloforte, port town on the island of San Pietro in southwestern Sardinia. This is a small island that features dramatic cliffs along its western coast and small sheltered sandy coves along the east coast. The apartment has a personal entrance and a short flight of stairs (with installed lift chair) brings you to the first floor where there is a kitchen, living room with balcony, large bedroom with balcony, and a small bathroom off the kitchen. Located on a corner, the apartment is sunny, with a beautiful cross breeze. Upstairs has skylights and beautiful wooden beams and tile ceilings. Both bathrooms have gorgeous colorful tiles, while the downstairs living room and bedroom have the original ornate tiles that are more than 100 ears old and have been beautifully restored. Each of the bedrooms come with bedside lamps and convenient electrical outlets. The two main bedrooms have large antique armoirs and dressers for comfortable storage and living amenities. The central staircase has beautiful iron handrails, and the house is artistically decorated with ceramic artwork from all over Italy, as well as Mexico and the US. It is both visually stunning and practically designed so that you will fall in love with space and find it very comfortable at the same time. The beaches are intimate and natural, without rows of beach chairs and umbrellas. The quality of the water the most beautiful in all of Italy, and there are amazing hikes, if you enjoy exploring nature. The rock formations on the island are a photographer's dream, while the swimming opportunities are magical. Unspoiled by tourism, this island is ideal for the traveler who enjoys nature and life in a small port town that is full of charming restaurants, bars, and places to sit and watch local activity. Famous for its tuna fishery, the seafood in this town is exceptional, as is the produce, cheese, and local meats. If you choose to cook some of your meals, there is a beautiful weekly market where you will find all of the ingredients that you would possibly need, and the kitchen is extremely comfortable and well planned so that you will quickly feel at home.
