About this property
Charming Norman Longère from the 18th century 2 hours from Paris
Working in Paris, we looked for a place to relax, with friends. e.s or with family on the Weekend.
Lovers of old houses and nature, we unearthed this bucolic property very recently, it is located in the heart of the Normandy countryside 2 hours from Paris by car and 1 hour 14 minutes by train (Montparnasse, l'Aigle). We wish to share our calm and relaxing country house. To access it, you will have to take small roads and pass from hamlet to hamlet before finding the place called: "la Drolinière". Once at the Drolinière sign, go a few more meters to find the blue gate. Open it and you will be at home for a week or a weekend. Céline, a resident of the hamlet, will have heated the house and started a fireplace to welcome you and (if necessary) you can lean on her throughout your stay. She will not hesitate to help you, to recommend the best places in the area and places to discover. You will enjoy the large garden of 3800m2, and the house of 150m2. Quiet in the middle of nature, far from noise and pollution, here there are only fields and woods, some tractors and Céline's sheep on our property (if you accept them, if not he goes home). The first village "La Neuve Lyre" is 7km away, you will find a good bakery and a butcher breeder who makes high quality meat, a caterer, a press point and a small supermarket. The nearest town is 15km away: L’Aigle, its market, its shops and its charm. Deauville, Trouville are 60 km away and Perche too. Normandy is the region of apples, cheese, horses, on the markets you will find excellent cider andouillettes, andouilles, sausage sausages but also seafood always very fresh and from small oyster producers. Local producers will always welcome you warmly on the markets or on their farms. For lovers of flea markets, just type "fair 27" on the internet, you will always find one in the area.
The house is a charming Norman Longère from the 18th century, tastefully restored with respect for architecture and old materials: exposed beams, terracotta tiles, original parquet floors and real fireplace have been preserved and restored. The house is furnished with furniture and decorative items found in flea markets. If you love nature and authenticity, this house is for you.
