Beautiful Custom Cabin on almost 2 acres with lots of privacy
Our Mountain home has it all. Luxury, beauty, privacy, short drives to downtown Blue Ridge and all the Outdoor activities surrounding the Blue Ridge and the Ocoee River areas. The road up to the cabin is a steep .3 miles, but we have had a portion of the road paved and are able to drive it in our rear-wheel drive 4 door sedan.
This custom built cabin is beautifully furnished and includes pillow top mattresses; gas fireplace inside and on the screen porch; fully stocked kitchen; four burner gas grill; oversize jetted tub in the upstairs master; flat panel HD LCD TVs with all the ESPN channels and much more......
Relax on the oversized screened in porch in the six person hot tub and then spend some time by the outdoor gas fireplace.
There are two acres of gentle flat terrain to stretch out on. You will be amazed at the beauty surrounding the cabin. You are literally on a plateau on top of a mountain but just one mile from Highway 5. You are surrounded by nature and may even see a deer or wild turkeys come through. You have more than the comforts of home here in the beautiful mountains!
There is so much to do in the area including: Mountain Biking and Hiking the Tanasi trails at the Ocoee Whitewater center; Ziplining; Boating at lake Blue Ridge; Tubing down the Tocoaa; Horseback Riding; visiting Mercier Orhards; Hiking one of the several Waterfalls in the area; Shopping in and Dining in Downtown Blue Ridge; and Visiting the nearby towns of McCaysville and Ellijay.

Cabin was beautiful, clean, great area, had all amenities we needed. We enjoyed watching the wildlife from our porch. Easy to book and the host was very helpful. We would definitely book again.
Quite beautiful cabin 2 miles off the main road in the woods. Very peaceful and close to resources if needed. 6 Miles from Blue Ridge, Ga, just outside of McCaysville, close to TN and Cherokee National park.Would recommend and hopefully return some day to enjoy it again.
We enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean, check in process was easy, and communication with the owner was excellent. We enjoyed the indoor & outdoor fireplaces and the hot tub.
A great time and place to getaway. All was as advertised. We had all we needed and never left the cabin. Fireplaces and hot tub were super nice. We desire to stay here again.
We loved our weekend get away to the mountains! The property was super easy to find, very clean, and exactly as described. The hosts were awesome!! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!! Now, while we were there we saw deer, turkeys, a blue jay, a weird squirrel, and heard what sounded like a larger animal out at night. The deer didn’t really run off and seemed to not mind us watching from the porch! The drive to find food was only a few minutes! We were only 15 minutes from the train station. This property was truly perfect!!!
Cabin and property were wonderful. We spent most of our time on the porch with fireplace. Enjoyed watching the wildlife. Saw a flock of over 40 turkeys! Wonderful place to relax for a weekend.
The cabin was all that we had hoped for. My wife and I were seeking a quiet retreat to celebrate our anniversary and this was a success. The hot tub and the fireplaces were especially relaxing and enjoyable with the plunging temperatures outside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
The cabin was great. We enjoyed our stay. Snowed right after our arrival and we spent the rest of our vacation in cabin snowy winter wonderland. The only issue was it was a little rough getting back down the drive that was snow and ice. But overall we had a great time
The property is very warm and welcoming. The shower heads and water pressure is fantastic. Living room fireplace is great. Back porch is a quiet place to sit and enjoy the wildlife. Turkeys and deer were abundant. We did have an issue but the mgr. Was quick to respond.Loved it. We've been going for three years now...
We stayed two nights and loved it! All the wood throughout provides a very warm atmosphere, you can't help but be relaxed. The beds are super comfortable. That and the peace and quiet gave us a great night's sleep.
Our stay at Dan and Cindy’s cabin was wonderful. Very conveniently located between Blue Ridge and McCaysville so had plenty of options for activities to do. The cabin was also very well stocked and clean. We were very happy with our stay and already planning our next trip

This property was absolutely perfect for our mini anniversary vacation! This cabin is in a wonderful location, there are other cabins in the area, but this one still felt secluded and had gorgeous views. I highly recommend having some coffee on the upstairs balcony in the mornings as it is a great and refreshing way to start each day! This place had everything we could have needed and more! There is a full kitchen with plenty of dish ware, utensils, and cooking ware. The furniture and decor are lovely and create a “home away from home” feeling. Of course, the hot tub was one of our favorite aspects of the cabin and is in a great location to see the local wildlife while relaxing. The roadway leading to the area is right off the main road, and it is simple to navigate from the cabin to Blueridge where we spent most of our time when we weren’t inside. At first, I was worried about the road up to the cabin, but the 2WD small suv we drove made it up and down the road and hills with ease. Overall there is nothing I would change about this stay, and I would definitely recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a nice, relaxing experience.
This cabin was exactly like it was described. Beautiful place to spend the weekend. Very private and peaceful. Will be back for sure.

About the host
Hosted by Dan Chandler
We bought this property in 2019 after coming to Blue Ridge for years and renting property owned by others. We live in Chattanooga, TN, a short 1.5 hour drive away and Blue Ridge is our escape place. We love the town itself with all of its quaint shops and excellent restaurants. We also love the beauty and peacefulness of the surrounding area. It has been our dream for many years to own a place of our own here. We strive to keep up the high standards set by the wonderful family from whom we purchased the cabin.
Why they chose this property
When we would come to Blue Ridge we would drive around looking at properties for sale, thinking that some day we would like to own our own piece of paradise. We looked at several cabins but nothing seemed quite right until we saw this place. We fell in love immediately, even before we had seen inside. The setting was perfect for us. Very private with only a few other houses on the road. A perfect place to get away from our busy lives. When we were able to tour the cabin we knew it was exactly what we had been looking looking for. This cabin had been well maintained by the previous owners and we endeavor to follow in their footsteps.
