However, if you would like to change the name of the person checking in after you have provided this information, there will be a $99.00 name change fee. Any damages will be charge upon check-out.

Resort check- in time is 4 p.m. and check-out time is 10 a.m. The nearest airport to Wilderness Club at Big Cedar is Branson Airport (BKG) which is 9 miles by car respectively.

Beautiful property

We had a wonderful stay at the property until we were asked to leave on the 3rd day of our trip. After calling VRBO and getting someone helpful on the 3rd transfer, we figured out the problem. Somehow our reservation was made into 2 separate reservations making us move from one room to another. Our reservation was confirmed from 12/27-1/2. I was never given any notice via text, email or phone about having a “split reservation” they called it. I’m not sure whether it was VRBO or the Wilderness Club at Big Cedar that did that, but it was done. It was very inconvenient and very stressful. So make sure when you check into a property that is a lodge or has multiple rooms that they do not split your reservation up.

Make sure to deadbolt your door.

Property itself was fine and as promised. Would stay again with the door deadbolt on. An unidentified man (probably an employee) offered cookies one day and returned the next day same time, knocked and then entered our room with a master key and the same question “Cookies?” I assume these were complimentary and it was part of his job, but I didn’t want some unidentified man entering my room to drop off cookies. Leave deadbolt on. Stay was otherwise eventful and bonus points for plenty of towels.

VRBO host not reliable

We rented 2 units for a family vacation. 2 days before check in, my 86 year old father in law received a call that his room was cancelled and they were transferring him to another property. The property was no where near (with long windy roads) the Big Cedar Lodge where the rest of the family was staying. The host gave multiple and inconsistent reasons for cancelling at the last minute. The host told VRBO a different reason for cancelling and stated we would be refunded but later refused to refund us because of their cancellation policy. Totally bait and switch and host should not be allowed to transfer a guest to an unrelated and different property/location even when guest says they are unable to access the replacement property. The host was very challenging to get a hold of and not empathetic to the circumstances they created and the host is a rental property group not a person. We will try to dispute the credit card charges since this host refuses to refund us despite their being the ones to cancel. It put a lot of unnecessary stress into a family vacation and an elderly man’s life.

Our complaint is with the company that this was actually booked through. We were completely re-booked for a one bedroom with an attached studio room, when we booked and paid for 2 one bedroom units. We went with friends and each wanted our own unit. We were not contacted by the timeshare place (3rd party after biking through Expedia) until the day before we left.

Great getaway

Always enjoy ourselves at Big Cedar. Great room, had 2 adults and one child. Able to make breakfasts and lunches with full kitchen and grilled for dinners. Pools and activities on property are 2md to none.

Tues to Friday

Location was perfect! The price for the vrbo Tues to Fri was very reasonable. On our next trip, we will bring more kitchen supplies. Hot pads, salt/pepper, etc… We will be back. Be ware… the walls are thin if there are little fussy kids running and/or crying around you. We came to relax at Big Cedar and we did just that. Spent relaxing time at 3 pools and the lazy river and being outside enjoying the beautiful scenery. There is a $5 charge per day which is more than reasonable. We will be back.

Wilderness Club Big Cedar

Property was very nice. Enjoyed Big Cedar and all the amenities. Communication with owner was poor. Although i had two reservations books separately, the confirmation I got only ever showed one property. I had no confidence until I got there and checked in that I had two units. When two units are booked the confirmation sent by the owner should clearly indicate that or there should be a separate confirmation for each unit booked.

Bluegreen Wilderness Club at Big Cedar

Our unit was great and the pool area was very nice and clean. There was one minor issue at check-in. When we reserved our room, we asked that our room be next to or nearby the 2 families we were traveling with. My wife even called to confirm a few days before our arrival. The person she spoke to said our request had been noted in the system. When we arrived, there were no notes in the system and we had to spend extra time getting our rooms moved so that we would all be in the same building.
