About this property

Red Cabin At Stoney Pines - A Cozy Getaway Only 5 Min to Lake & 20 Min to River

The Red Cabin is perfect for a couple or a couple with a small child. This cabin is a studio with bathroom and has a kitchenette.

When you arrive you will find that this cabin also has a covered front porch where we have provided some chairs for sitting. You can have your coffee out here or just sit and enjoy the surrounding trees and grey squirrels.

The kitchenette has a coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave and small refrigerator with small freezer. Once inside you will see a chair and small table, a Queen bed with 2 bedside tables and the kitchenette.

The bathroom, considered large for a small cabin, is just next to the bed. This cabin has a window AC/heater the efficiently cools the cabin in summer and heats the cabin in winter. There is also a pot belly stove for heat if that is preferred. This sister property to Stoney Pines at Lake Isabella is a perfect studio style 1950's cabin.

If you are bringing your pet please know there is a pet fee of $40 for this cabin.

A few notes:

This cabin shares the outside pine forest and BBQ area with the whole property. Please be courteous to other renters by not utilizing this area for an extended period of time if someone appears to be waiting.

This property is located off of a packed dirt road, which is very common for this area. Upon check in, detailed instructions will be given on how to easily get to the cabin with a map.

This property has a Ring Doorbell that will be on during your stay and faces the front parking area. There is one security camera that faces the road behind the Red Cabin towards the shed. The other houses on this property also have Ring Doorbells that face just in front of their respective front doors.

I am a native of San Diego, CA that has been traveling up the the Kern Valley my whole life. I enjoy all aspects of California, from the beach and sand to the rocky mountains of both Central and Northern California.

Why they chose this property

Stoney Pines, and this Red Cabin, has been in our family for over 40 years. This cabin was built back in the 1950s and we have tried to keep that feeling with the interior design of this cabin. With many years of great memories going to the lake in Summer and staying cozy and warm by the pot belly stove in Winter, we wanted to share this great property with other to make the same great memories.

What makes this property unique

One very unique aspect of this cabin and property are the pine trees. The previous owner was a pine tree enthusiast and planted many different types of pine trees all over this property. As the years have passed we have tried to continue the tradition by adding new pine trees in new areas and also where old trees have died. Another unique point of interest is our local Joshua Tree. Just outside the cabin's back door you will find an endangered Joshua Tree. These trees only grow in the Mojave Desert, which is very close to the property, and somehow we were lucky enough to have one on our property.
