There are great cities to visit nearby such as Petosky, Harbor Springs, Cheboygan, Mackinaw City or even take a trip to historic Mackinac Island..

Cottage Information: Cozy 740 square foot cottage; 3 bedroom, + queen sofa sleeper; 1 bathroom. Sleeps 6-8; (6 comfortably; 8 cozy). Rental of cottage also includes use of steel boat lift which will accommodate a boat 3,600-pounds, 96-inch wide, 21-feet long, (no pontoon boats).

No matter your pleasures, staying here at beautiful Burt Lake will be an enjoyable experience that you and your family will remember and want to return to again.

Perfect location

We visited Charlevoix, Petoskey and mackinaw island and this was a good central base. If we had towed up a boat or jet ski it would have been a great spot to enjoy Burt lake

Amazing weekend

Awesome Property

What a awesome place to stay!!!!! Great location for the water..... place was clean and ready for us...... Great for a family getaway we brought are kids ages 5 and 8 and the loved it! Shhhhhh

What a secret gem! I almost want to keep this secret to myself!! Gerrie’s cabin was PERFECT! Lake views and easy access to the docks. There are wonderful hiking trails in the area that are super close. The property has about 6 cabins and they are nicely placed for privacy. It was quiet, relaxing, comfortable, and oh so cozy!! Make sure you load up necessities before getting to Brutus in either Mackinac City or even Petoskey. Brutus has no markets or gas stations that were open. Thanks again, Gerrie!!!!

Good place to visit Mackinac Island

Cabin was small, but worked for us. Luckily weather was great or it would have been cramped. We were coming from Harbor Springs and used it as a place to get a little closer to Mackinac. We had 4 adults and 4 kids- there was a playground and sand box 10 feet away from Cabin , which was amazing. . No towels, linens, TP, or WiFi - didn’t realize that until after booked (I didn’t read fine print closely enough). Overall, it was fine. Good for the price.

Relaxing and Restful

Small but very adequate bedrooms, updates to kitchen and bath. Lovely living area with sliders to deck facing West Burt Lake. Very quiet in early October!

The cottage had a bad odor for days until I figured out it was the old air freshener modules .

The rental boat was not ready for fishing. No depth finder.

Cozy Cottage

Our family enjoyed our stay! It took a little navigating where to park, but once we settled it we enjoyed it. Because it is in an association there were a lot of rules. We wished we could have had a campfire but respected the rules. The boat ramp at the association was very convenient for getting the boat in the water. The boat lift with cover was great addition as we didn’t have to take the boat in and out of the water. Gerrie was very sweet and helpful when we had questions.

Family boating vacation.

Liked the place. Close to water. Having a covered boat lift especially nice. The association area was quiet and other vacationers friendly. Would rent again.

Very clean and quiet

We enjoyed our four weekday visit to Burt Lake. Although the rainy weather, seasonal flies, and our busy off-site trips precluded use of the lake, we were able to relax and enjoy the chirping birds and manic squirrels when we returned at the day’s end. The cottage was very clean; the bathroom fixtures are relatively new and working perfectly. The narrow door openings and hallway gave us a bit of trouble, as did the narrow bathroom layout. But beautiful sunrises greeted us each morning, and overall it was a good time.

Very Peaceful

This property is very quaint settled in the woods of Brutus Michigan. We arrived at the cottage on Friday and the conditions were just as they are seen in the listing. Very clean and all the amenities you would need for a weekend getaway. We did a color tour and all we had to do is walk 200 feet to the waters edge and there was Michigan's splendor!!! Beautiful views. Our host was very easy to reach and we will most certainly revisit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thanks!

Great Getaeway

A beautiful place to visit and stay. The fishing wasn’t great and you can’t have a fire. But the view was pretty and the kids have fun swimming and paying on the playground. The cabin was well kept and ready for us. Very nice place to stay for the weekend!

The cottage was clean and relaxing. Burt Lake is clean, beautiful water and the fishing was great. The boat lift and fish cleaning house were great and easy to use. Highly recommend this place for your next getaway.

Great location

The cabin was the perfect size and had everything we needed. The grounds well taken care of. Lots of birds if you like that sort of thing. The boat was great we did some fishing. My grandson loved the giant sand box and swings. We also enjoyed a volley ball game.
