We booked an overnight stay and everything was as advertised. The bed was very comfortable and the heat was turned on before we got there to combat the chilly weather. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable stay in the hills!
It was the most peacefull beautiful place we have ever been!!! Beautiful scenery, great peaple, losts of wildlife, close to many destination & completely worth the stay. Completly affordable you wont want to leave! Hoping to rebook next yr.
Such a sweet, peaceful place. My granddaughter loved the stream running through the property. My host was extremely helpful and accommodating! Lots of wild life.
The GPS was not accurate and took us farther down the road. When booking this we did not realize that we were so close to the property managers home. The inside was clean and comfortable however there were a lot of spiders and mouse poop in the cabinet by the fridge. There were no instructions left and wifi was not available. Listing did not state all of the amenities they did have to offer, including wood for the fire pit along with chairs for the deck etc. Once we get settled in we enjoyed the stay.
Place was very clean, and we enjoyed it very much.
The only thing was we thought we could walk around and explore, but houses close by. I would definitely rent again. 👍
No cell service and no wi-fi as stated on the listing of amenities As a business owner I could not stay where I did not have access to my business. I had to find another place to stay at the last minute. I contacted the owners to let them know that we could not stay and requested a full refund. They denied the request even though they did not provide what they said they would, and we never stayed at their property.
I am a VRBO property owner. I would never book with anyone who has this type of business ethics.

Bees
There was a beat up truck parked in the weeds. It would have been nice to mow the weeds. There was a bee nest above the door. I am allergic to bees. There were bees under the bridge on walking trail. It had rained and the rain came under the door, so carpet was wet. A little more TLC would be nice. We did not stay the 2 nights as planned. We were stung by bees. The owners did let us cancel the 2nd night. They were nice to work with
Overall we had a pleasant experience. The barn loft was clean and what we expected. We would have given a much higher rating if the yard and fire pit area had been mowed The surroundings such as building below the loft, other outbuildings, old vehicles parked in the barn area need some upkeep. The path away from the fire pit could be mowed. There was a wasp nest above the entrance to the loft that we did not enjoy. With a little TLC, this could be a fantastic place to stay. Best wishes to you!

Very close to Deadwood but far enough away from all the noise, the drive was scenic and the interior details were rustic and very comfortable! Highly reccomend
If you’re staying in the Black Hills, and want experience the beauty of them outside of the tourist towns, this is a good choice. It’s pretty spartan, but clean. Plenty of hot water, and the AC worked fine. I wish it had a chair to sit on, instead of a wooden stool, and an actual table to eat at, instead of a barrel. Only disposable cups and flatware. I think a Keurig would be more convenient to use, rather than the coffee maker they had. But if you just want a quiet place to spend the night, it’s a decent choice.
It was everything we hoped.
After a long day of traveling it was nice to just relax. Checking in was easy with great communication!
The drive was so peaceful and beautiful.
Parking was great
Beds and amenities were spot on
Communication was above and beyond- especially because I forgot my jewelry and was informed quickly! It was shipped to me and I am so grateful.
I would definitely recommend and would stay again!

The hosts were wonderful and very welcoming. We were greeted when we arrived and had parked our truck and trailer. Told us just reach out if we needed anything. We visited Deadwood, Sturgis, Spearfish and went to Custer State Park. We also rode our sxs on trails near Camp 5. The studio was just perfect for us.
Quiet, off the beaten path property. The fire pit behind the building was our favorite part. It is quite close to the owners house so if you’re looking for complete privacy this is not the place for you. The hosts were very nice and left us alone though. They were also so kind to notify and mail us something we left behind!
It was just as advertised. Three miles of the road nice and peaceful. Jim and Marcy are great people.
I would stay again, very close to Deadwood.
