Our beautiful and spacious home is a 4-bedroom townhouse within the Banana Bay community. Our townhouse is a waterfront end unit with lots of privacy. It has two suite bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms(1 upstairs/1 downstairs). Upstairs you will also find two large bedrooms, each with 2 queen beds that adjoin a full bathroom and the other with two queen beds. High ceilings throughout the home enhance the large roomy living and sleeping area.
Our patio sits on the white sand of Banana Bay's private community beach. Calm ocean salt-water, perfect for small children, who will love searching for hermit crabs and collecting seashells. You can sit on the patio for a cool evening drink and enjoy the beautiful sunset over the Intracoastal Waterway, watch the dolphins swim with the tide and the barges move up and down the waterway.
Johnson's Beach is just a short 5-minute drive away from the townhouse. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy a day swimming and playing in the Gulf of Mexico. The main beach area has restrooms, picnic pavilions, and lifeguards on duty during the day.
There are plenty of activities for teens, families, and couples. Local activities include swimming, fishing, moonlight strolls, and summer concerts on Pensacola Beach, Eco tours (seining) at Johnson's Beach. The Naval Aviation Museum (one of my personal favorites!), and don’t forget the Lighthouse Tour.
Great golfing can be found just across the street at the Lost Key Golf course. Redesigned by the Arnold Palmer Design Group in 2006, the par 71 signature designed championship course features the premiere grass Sea Dwarf Paspalum from tee to green for the optimum in quality playing surfaces and green speeds. Each golf hole includes four sets of tees and offers players of all skill levels a unique visual and strategic playing experience. Lost Key was the first golf course in the state of Florida and the world to be certified as an Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary.
A short 5-minute walk from the townhouse takes you to the famous Perdido Key Oyster Bar Restaurant. Great food and great service! Blackened Tuna, Pan-Fried Grouper with toasted almonds, and the Caribbean Chicken are just a few of the items on their great menu. If you are looking for a great appetizer try the Blue Cheese Kettle Chips or BBQ Shrimp! Check out the community website at www.bananabay.org.
Our townhouse driveway can easily accommodate two cars. Additional parking spaces are located in front of the clubhouse or exercise room on a first come first serve basis. The Banana Bay Homeowners Association does not allow Motorhomes or trailers of any kind to be parked within the community! Parking on the street or grass areas is prohibited. Violators will be towed at the owner’s personal expense!
