All bedrooms have double wardrobes and the main bedroom is complete with en-suite bathroom and direct access onto the large sunny terrace. There is also a family bathroom within this apartment. Denia has much to offer it is one of the renowned UNESCO cities of Gastronomy with regular "Ruta de tapas" featuring restaurants across the whole of Denia all fighting for the coveted award for best Tapas in Denia. The yearly DNA food festival also takes place on the front at the end of September and last year included 4 Michelin Star restaurants. Denia also has a catamaran/boat service traveling along the coast to Javea, Moraira and Calpe and during the summer offers a FREE taxi boat service from the Marina of Denia to the Harbour of Denia. The Montgo National Park is a must for walking and hiking and a tranquil haven of shade in this large pine and heather forest. Other features of Denia are the tennis club and sports centre, with fully equipped gym a 3 minute walk from the apartment. Or if you fancy a round of golf why not try either the Oliva Nova golf course with 27 holes designed by Seve Ballesteros or La Sella golf club, both a short drive away.
From 1st July until 1st of September in both Denia and the surrounding villages, fiestas are a constant option for a wild night out !! Denia itself has its main fiesta in July which includes a children's day, with free events for children, a special day for pensioners, followed by the main event "bous a la mar" an amazing spectacle situated on the front by the port. The fiesta culminates in a firework display set off at the ancient castle on top of the hill. In August the next fiesta in Denia is the Moors and Christians, where many locals are dressed up in amazing detailed outfits accompanied by marching bands ( see pictures). In June on the first day of summer, there is the San Juan fiesta, that takes place all along the 15km beach of Denia, it is the only night of the year when you are allowed to have a fire on the beach and many people gather here with their picnics and it is the tradition when you must paddle in the sea at midnight. Many fireworks are also set off on the night. Out of season there is the famous fallas fiesta and fireworks in March a truly amazing spectacle with the burnings of the huge paper mache effigies. One of the most famous fiestas is located about an hour away the famous Tomatina fiesta, on the last Wednesday of August. Subject to new local rules
