Retreat with a 1-Mio-Dollar-View
The villa Aigaio is located in the north of Skopelos with a fantastic view - 30-40 min from every touristic hotspot. So it is really calm there. Enjoy a sun downer every evening! We have not seen a nicer house on Skopelos. Important to know: the nearest beach is just an 8 Min car ride away. (Agios Perivoliou). The house offers a top standard. We loved it and we think we will come back again!

Beautiful villa hidden away, with stunning views and excellent facilities.
What a beautiful villa. Like home from home, but with a much better view! Has everything you need for your stay. Excellently furnished and the outside areas are fantastic, with plenty of shaded areas. Eleni our housekeeper / pool assistant was most helpful and very friendly. Your own small car is essential. Any minor issues were dealt with very promptly. Very much recommend this beautiful villa and hope to one day return. We didn’t want to leave, the villa and the island is stunning and the local people were so friendly and helpful.

Wonderful Stay - very nice and uncomplicated
It is even better than the photos show!!! Very clean with many lovely details. We would have loved to stay longer. The view is amazing, cannot get enough of it. One tip: if you want to go from the villa to Glossa: take the long route, the short way is very narrow ;-)

Villa with amazing views and peaceful location.
We loved our stay and the amazing views from the villa. The villa is about a 20 minute walk from Glossa and a 50 minute walk (lots of steps) from the port below. Eleni the housekeeper was excellent in getting any issues resolved quickly including getting the electricity back after a lightening strike on a Sunday morning. We loved the villas isolated location and exploring the North of the island on foot but the poor condition of the road to the villa might cause folks not so keen on walking some issues.

Vom Haus sieht man herrliche Sonnenuntergänge.

Perfect!
If you want to get totally away from it all and enjoy perfect peace and relaxation then this is the place for you! This house looked amazing from the photos but the reality exceeded our expectations. With no close neighbours the only sounds are the waves below and the cicadas. We were met off the ferry by Eleni the housekeeper who led us up to the house (so remote it would have been v hard to find it without her!) stopping to show us the supermarket on the way. Eleni made us feel extremely welcome from the start and did a great job of looking after us throughout the week. The house itself was very comfortable and very well kitted out with everything you could possibly need on holiday. We spent most of our time outside where there was a huge patio area with a shady seating area, a covered bbq area with dining table (great for dinner in the evening whilst watching the sun set) and the highlight was the pool. It was the perfect temperature and was dipped into many times throughout the day to cool off. Glossa is about a 20-25 minute walk away. This is a lovely town and a maze of narrow streets. The local people were very friendly and always gave you a warm hello when you passed them in the street. The rooftop terrace and Agnanti were two great restaurants we found where you are guaranteed an amazing view, some great food and a warm welcome from the staff. We loved every minute of our stay at the house and on the island and were very sorry to leave. Thank you Mahi/Anthoula for the use of this fantastic house. We very much hope to be back some day. The house is new and charming. Pool is clean and well-managed. Panorama is breathtaking.
This is a house for a family that is happy lounging at the pool, reading and relaxing. If you have chosen to be on Skopelos island, you know you have selected a place where there is no nightlife or other excitement. There are a few beaches you can drive to, and in the nearby colorful village of Glossa there are several restaurants with good Greek food. The property has no close neighbors, so there is nothing to disturb you. You must be a little flexible, though. You should know that the half-mile access road to the villa is a very rough track, and you'll be glad that the car you drive is a rented one. This is not mentioned in the description because this is standard in Greece, and everyone who has ever rented in Greece knows what the roads are like, especially private access roads. Though you have a 180 degree panorama of the sea and islands, you are not on the shore, but on a steep hillside a mile or so from the shore. There are almost no villas on Skopelos adjacent to the shore, and those few are within villages. We rented this villa in 2017 and again in late summer 2018, and plan to come here again next year, so you can see that we love it.

Stunning location, beautiful house.
This house is simply beautiful. Incredibly well appointed, fantastic helpful owners and, above all, one of the most spectacular locations you will find. The owners attention to detail is superb - the house is equipped with everything you will need and more. The gardens are beautifully planted and landscaped, the pool is deep with breath-taking views, and both the outside and inside spaces are so well appointed, with such attention to detail, that it would be impossible not to have the best time here. As a family of four we all fell totally in love with the place and cannot wait to come back. We all fell in love with with Skopelos - the island is amazing, but this house made the whole experience something really special for us and we take back fantastic memories and will definitely will he back. Thank you.

Stunning villa with beautiful views
Well what a fabulous Villa, the views were spectacular, the sunsets breathtaking. The owner could not have been more accommodating, we arrived earlier than our expected time but plans we rearranged and Eleni met us to drive us to the villa. The villa does have a track road down to it, but we were in a small Fiat Panda and the route posed no problems for us, if you're only used to city driving you may find it more challenging. The villa is perfectly located for a walk into Glossa, it only takes about 20 mins to walk and we did it on most days. Glossa is only 10 mins in the car and there are a number of fabulous restaurants for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We also visited Skopelos Town for lunch, a drive or circa 40 minutes but with views along much of the route. The villa itself is very well equipped and whilst we didn't eat there often it had everything we needed. There is plenty of outside space meaning an impromptu game of basketball was possible without the risk of falling in the pool!. Skopelos itself is stunning, and as a regular visitor to the Greek Islands I would say Skopelos is my favourite. Would highly recommend.

Stunning Stunning Stunning
We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful villa, if you are looking for peace, relaxation and absolutely breathtaking views then this is the villa for you. The villa is equipped with everything you could possibly need, lovely kitchenware, bedding, towels, tea, coffee, even hair straighteners in the bathrooms!!! and is spotlessly clean. You definitely need to hire a car to explore the island and the amazing beaches and Mahi (who runs the property) was very helpful in arranging this for us. We were met by Eleni the housekeeper who was really friendly and told us where to shop, beaches to visit etc etc and was happy to answer any questions we had. Glossa is the closest village, about 25 mins in the car, which had a lovely feel to it, very welcoming, nice little bars and a couple of nice restaurants. If you don't want to drive, there is a track (to the right at the top of the hill) that takes about 5 mins by car and about 15 to walk into the top of Glossa which we found very handy, we drove into Glossa, had dinner and drinks and then walked by and picked up the car the next day. The owners parents came to do a little work at the property while we were there and they were lovely, we bumped into them in Glossa one evening and they invited us into their home and talked with us about their family, which was a highlight of our holiday, they were wonderful. We had the pleasure of a cat and its kittens whilst we stayed and we loved having them there and looking after them, they entertained us with their antics. There was no Wifi at the property, which in this day and age may seem strange, but I think it added to our holiday, whilst we all lead very busy lives, it was great to just totally switch off from everything and have some real rest and relaxation. Everywhere you went on the island, the views and scenery were breathtaking, but non better than waking up every morning, and seeing the spectacular views from the villa, we loved every minute of it and hope to go back again some day.

A villa that takes you away from it all
We stayed in this villa for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is well appointed and the pool and the vista is fantastic. The house is in a relatively remote location, so we enjoyed having the hillside to ourselves. We enjoyed Skopelos and staying at the Glossa end of the island was great - it was very quiet with very few tourists. Glossa is sleepy and charming and not touristy. You really need a car if you stay here. We really enjoyed this property, however there are a couple of things to beware of when booking this property, and they are: - whilst this property looks close to Glossa, and indeed, is, as the crow flies, the actual road to this house from Glossa takes about a 20-30 minute drive. All roads on Skopolos are narrow, but the access road down to the villa is more a track which is in poor repair - it is very steep, narrow and quite treacherous & not much fun in the dark. We hired a Panda and it was not really the right kind of car for the terrain it had to cross. So think about this if you are renting the property. Note that you can walk to Glossa from the house - along a track, which takes about 30 minutes. We did that on the nights we wanted to have a drink with dinner, rather than hassle with the drive. - unbelievably in this day and age there is no WIFI in the villa. Sure, I probably overlooked this when I made the booking, but when you pay a premium price, you expect that this would be part of the deal. - there are three cats on the property. Someone will come every 3-4 days to feed them, and despite this, they are hungry. We had to buy food to feed them to keep them quiet, otherwise they made life hell. They would climb the door and window screens to try to get into the house and you most definitely could not eat outside. Once we started feeding them, they were OK. But again, if this is a premium property, you don't expect this hassle. I love my pets at home, but I don't want the responsibility of domestic animals whilst on vacation. - the cable TV - we could only get 2 news stations to work and otherwise is was white-out on the screen - not a big deal for us - but just saying...

Secluded luxury
The Villa itself is incredibly well equipped with furnishings and fittings being first class. The whole place had a lovely relaxed/homely feel to it with the views over the other islands being quite breathtaking. Due to Westerly direction you enjoy wonderful evening warmth and sunsets (circa 20.30 in July). The Pool was a perfect temperature and heavily used noting comment above! Part of the attraction of course is the fact that the Villa is very secluded. However, this does mean in reality (with Summer heat) you cannot really walk anywhere. We found that you just needed to plan day's out so that you did everything in one sitting. Surprisingly the Villa did not have Wi-Fi (I wrongly assumed it would before I booked) albeit 3g/4g reception was good. The whole Island in July did have a significant issue with Wasps - everywhere. On the positive side the Villa has a very good window/door netting systems so they cannot penetrate. On the other hand had no issue with Mosquitos in morning/evening. Skopelos town itself (especially the older town) is very quaint and has a nice friendly feel to it. Numerous tavernas are at the front but we found the better restaurants were off the front and particularly enjoyed Zoupa, Olivio and Anna's in that order. Closer to the Villa is Agnanti in Glossa, also good albeit felt very formal - a bit more like a London restaurant than a Greek Isle. Our days were spent at various beaches and as we stayed in Skopelos town the first week before Villa Aigaio in Glossa the second we were able to reach most. Our favourites were Kastani/Milia (the former with an excellent beach bar), Agios Ioannis Kastri (bit of a tourist trap - but when the beach empties it is quite superb) Perivoliou/Hondrogiorgi (to the North and thus really easy to reach from Villa but less busy and very much untouched), Armenopetra (lovely views back to Glossa) and Stafylos. Spent half a day wondering around the Monasteries to the east of Skopelos town - worth doing and following T1 trail route as far as you can - it was hot! Agnondas (lovely fresh squid but can't remember restaurant name) and Neo Klima (pleasant marina and Oasis restaurant - good vegetarian options - the Courgette fritters and Briam both great) made great lunchtime stops. Overall a super time and thanks once again to our hosts (Mahi provided us with some excellent advice about ferry transfers/car hire/restaurants) and to Eleni and her husband for greeting us and being available for questions.

Breath taking
My husband and I had an amazing holiday at Villa Aigaio. We arrived at the port and were met by Gylkeria with our hire car. We were then greeted by the housekeeper who drove us to the villa. The views are out of this world. The villa is finished to a high standard and equipped with everything you could need. If you go to Skopelos and you're looking for peace and quiet, complete privacy and the most amazing views over to Skiathos and mainland Greece then Villa Aigaio is a must! Louise and Paul

Perfect vacation
We spend 3 weeks in this wonderful relaxing villa. Everything exceed our expectation. The view is spectacular. The environment is absolutely quiet. The house is spotlessly clean and well equipped and comfortable with everything you would need to have a relaxing break (high quality tableware and electrical appliances (toaster, espresso machine, coffee machine, sandwich toaster, …) and lots of towels and bed linen) Even coffee, spicery, vinegar and oil was available. The separate pergola is a great place for enjoying your breakfast or your drink during the beautiful sunset. Glossa is a small village which offers everything you need for your holiday. We fall in love with the beach Perivoliou, which is just 10min away from the house by car. Most of the times we were alone on this beach (the one on the right side which you reach by a 5 min walk) Avoid Skopelos if you are looking for party or nightlife. But if you are looking for a quiet, green, clean environment, Skopelos is the perfect island. Mahi, the owner was always very responsive and very supportive. It starts with the first inquiry, and ends after we forgot our mobile phone in the house when we leave, and a week later it arrives at our home. Great support and thank you very much for the good communication. The parents-in-law of Mahi which takes care about the house are very helpful and so lovely. We had lots of very good communication with them. Usually we never stay twice on the same location, but who knows? We start getting homesick when we look at our pictures from our vacation….

We loved our holiday in Villa Aigaio
We loved our holiday on Skopelos in Villa Aigaio. The villa is set alone on the mountainside and faces west. Total peace that is restorative and enables complete relaxation. The children enjoyed many hours in the pool on the picturesque terrace, which provides a beautiful view of Skiathos and spectacular sunsets. For company, it is not far to the lovely town of Glossa, which also faces west its white, stone buildings and narrow streets built on the mountainside above the port of Loutrakis. Here there are shops, which include bakeries and a mini market; good food to eat, for example, gyros near one of the main squares; and even a bar with yet another spectacular view higher up in the town. We feel so fortunate to have had a holiday here. Thank you.

Very quiet, high quality villa with amazing view
We enjoyed our two week honeymoon in this wonderful villa in April/ May timeframe and could not have imagine a better place for this. When we first stepped out to the terrace and relished the beautiful view it was overwhelming – the pictures just can give a glimpse of the loveliness of this place. The original view over Euböa, Skiathos and the Mainland is even more impressing. During the day you can relax on the sunbed and watch the ferries going from and to the neighbored island. In the evening you can enjoy the sunset which is every day different. Referring to the villa and the very pleasant care by the owner and his family we can just confirm the recent reviews: the house is new, the equipment is of high quality, very clean and – for us the main reason to go there – due to the fact that it is located outside of Glossa very quiet. We were supported with very good hints beforehand as well as during the trip, warm-hearted welcome and perfectly supervised. The hospitality that we could become familiar with during the time made us feel welcome. During our stay we discovered the island per pedes and ATV and found many places worth seeing and enjoyable – but no place is so beautiful than this piece of earth. For travelers who prefer quietness we can strongly recommend this villa.

Why they chose this property

Villa Aigaio is a holiday residence offering spectacular views due to its location; The rural area north of the charming village of Glossa known as Punta, for centuries the landscape offered olive groves, grape vineyards and citrus gardens. Still a paradise of nature with wild forests, steep coves and cobble paths.
The roof balcony and terrace offer the idyllic spot, to watch the magnificent hues of the famous Skopelos sunset over the sea or stargaze the night sky under the moonlight.
Perfect place to get away from everyday's urban bustle, still close enough to local amenities including cafes, tavernas and shops.
Don't hesitate to ask our proposals file on where to eat or have a drink!
