Two Bucks can sleep 6 people with two bedrooms (one is a loft that has heavy curtains to close it off). It’s probably more comfortable for 4 people or under though! 2 couples, or a couple and 2-3 kids would fit perfectly, but six adults is a bit of a squeeze…
Important—both bedrooms are up or down stairs! No sleeping areas are on the main level.
Important—you will need to bring your own linens (sheets and towels)!
The main level has a vaulted-ceiling living room with a 32-inch smart TV ( Roku TV, Netflix and Amazon Prime). On the main floor you'll also find a sparkling newly renovated kitchen with brand new everything—cabinets, countertops, appliances, lighting, sink, faucet, etc, and so many handcrafted special touches. There’s a Keurig coffee machine and even an air fryer. There's a full bathroom with a slate-tiled standing shower. Take the spiral staircase up to the loft with two double beds and a twin bed, or take another spiral staircase down to the master bedroom. The extra-large master has a king bed, and a queen Murphy bed that folds up. There's a spacious bathroom downstairs as well with a tub/shower. Both bathrooms have brand new cabinets, sinks, faucets and light fixtures. There is a gas grill on the side deck for your convenience.
There is a deck that spans three sides of the cabin--the back deck looks over the Brushy Mountains (be careful--it's a long drop!) and the front deck looks over the Blue Ridge Mountains. Enjoy sunrise and sunset over TWO mountain ranges! There's a hammock and a firepit with multiple benches--from this spot you have lovely views of both mountain ranges!
Want to impress your work colleagues with amazing mountain views on your Zoom calls? It's easy to work remotely at Two Bucks, with our super-fast WiFi.
There is a gravel driveway with room for parking multiple cars.
IMPORTANT: Please note that the spiral staircases are tight and you need to watch your step. So if you're at all concerned with navigating them, you might want to look elsewhere. And when it comes to little ones, Two Bucks is not little kid safe, and is best suited for children age 8 and over.
The community of Buck Mountain is 3,000 acres with approximately 250 homes. It's private and quiet! You will have access to a huge gorgeous waterfall (about a 7 minute drive from the cabin), a stocked pond for fishing, and 32 miles of hiking/biking trails. From Buck Mountain you have an easy drive to Boone, Blowing Rock, and are super close to Merlefest and the North Wilkesboro Speedway.
