This was an affordable little ski-in/out condo near the slopes that is perfect for a small group or family that wants relatively easy access to the slopes without breaking the bank. That being said, you get what you pay for. Amenities are minimal/non-existent, and calling this a two bedroom is a little generous as the second "bedroom" is just a section off of the living room with a pull out divider. Parking was easy and readily available, and once we were able to find the ski in/out trail, it was quite accessible. There is a community laundry room, but it costs about 3.50 per load for washdry and only takes quarters, so be prepared for that (the change machine only accepted 1 bills, not 5). If easy access to the slopes and staying in budget are your top priorities and everything else is optional, this is a good place to stay. Surprisingly good views from the balcony.
Host should have mentioned that shuttle is basically non-existent.
While the property is "ski in/ski out", that is pretty much the only good thing i can say. Host did not disclose anywhere in the listing or welcome email that the resort shuttle is not included, like it is with every other unit in the complex, so we were left to figure out our own transportation. Had we known prior to booking, we would have rented a car, but by the time we realized that not even the city bus would travel to this condo, we would have had to pay to get a ride back to the airport to rent a car.
The host also omitted that the ski shuttle is horrible. The drivers of the shuttle are residents of the complex. They are late to/from pickup 95% of the time.
Because of this HUGE OMISSION about the transportation, we probably spent over $1000 in ubers. Shame on you.
Condo is dated. Beds are horribly uncomfortable. Furniture is so old that it is laughable. TV's are so old that this technology doesn't even exist anymore. Skimped on towels (one per person for an entire week). No extra pillows.
Would never stay here again.
We stayed here for my family's first Steamboat experience. True to the description, it is indeed a ski-in & ski-out condo, which made life so easy, especially for my teenage boys who could be out on the mountain on their own & come back for food breaks at their convenience. The ski lockers are spacious & easy to access. We had a mountain-side condo and the view was AMAZING! The condo had everything we needed to prepare & serve meals after a trip to the grocery store in town. The furnishings & appliances are a bit dated, but after a long day of skiing & snowboarding we hardly noticed. The fireplace and ample wood supply made for comfy & cozy evenings. The countertops, sinks, & fixtures in the kitchen & bathrooms were obviously new. If this is to be an honest review, my only real ding is that the linens & pillows were a little - how you say - well used. Other than that, we totally enjoyed our stay here and would definitely do it again.
Had an incredible experience staying at Storm Meadows in Steamboat. A true ski in ski out experience at an awesome mountain. Would love to stay here again!
Adequate and met our needs. Nothing great or special. Decor, furniture, etc has not been updated in years. A retro 70s experience. Good location with true ski in/out.
Amazing view over the valley, great location relative to the resort and ease of access on the entry floor.

Don't go barefoot
We have stayed at Storm Meadow properties several times over the years. This unit was sorely outdated as far as the furnishings and decor were concerned. It is sadly in need of a facelift. The tile floor in the kitchen was torn and a rug thrown over it. The carpet was obviously not vacuumed. (or maybe the vacuum cleaner needs updating as well.) The drapes in the bedroom were old, and the lining very badly torn. Sheets were all polyester which doesn't feel like what you would expect in an upscale property. Highlight was the clean bathrooms. The location works well for ski in-ski out and ski storage on the ground level is a plus. The manager was very prompt and courteous to my queries.
