About this property

Gite of the Roche in Périgord

Nineteenth century farmhouse in yellow stone Périgord, it has been restored by us respecting the maximum tradition.
Located in a hamlet between Thenon and Montignac-Lascaux, our cottage enjoys the quiet and green Périgord Noir.
Near the site of Lascaux, the valleys of Vézère and Dordogne, with their many caves and castles, it can be the starting point for pleasant days of strolls, sports, or visits.

The accommodation is ideal for a couple and one or two children

The ground floor has a main room with kitchenette (fridge, oven, microwave, hotplates), dining area, large fireplace called Cantou and a sofa bed for two people.
Also on the ground floor you will have a bathroom with shower, sink, toilet and washing machine.
Upstairs, you will have a double bed, a sofa and a baby bed and a desk and dressing closet.

Hôtes disponibles accueillants et discrets. Thierry nous a bien indiqué les lieux à visiter (charmants petits villages) les balades et aussi où nous restaurer. Très belle région à découvrir si on prend la voiture. Pas beaucoup de lieux pour faire du vélo ou de la marche. Le gîte est calme mais un peu cher par rapport à la situation et à la propreté des lieux. Beaucoup de toiles d'araignée résidant depuis longtemps et odeur désagréable dû à l âge de la maison. Impossible de dormir à l étage en été même si la maison a des murs épais. L hôte est très accueillant et très à l'écoute.

Une parenthèse enchantée dans un cadre charmant
Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans le havre de verdure et de calme que Thierry et son épouse ont mis à notre disposition. La maison restaurée avec soin et fort bien équipée est idéalement située à proximité de Montignac et de la vallée de la Vézère. C'est le point de départ rêvé pour explorer la région. Nous avons été fort bien accueillis et recommandons sans réserve cette adresse de vacances! Merci pour tout et en particulier pour les conseils de visites et de restaurants! Terrasson et sa Mandragore ont été une jolie découverte.
