About this property

Christmas cottage is situated in the quiet village of Blakeney.
Christmas cottage has been recently converted as a two bedroom with a shabby chic style theme, we have one king-size bedroom and one double bedroom with two single beds. The bathroom has a lovely shower room with vanity unit & wc.
Downstairs we have a comfortable lounge leather sofa and a dining table that comfortably seats four adults.
We also have a Victorian style opened fire as well as gas central heating.
The kitchen is fully equipped With a Gas hop, Electric cooker, fridge and freezer, microwave, washing machine, and spacious working areas.
Outside we have a washing line and a area where you can sit out and have a barbecue.
This is a beautiful cottage in a rural village location and it is proving to be very successful , especially for the outdoor enthusiasts.
Please note there is a returnable damage deposit of £100.
One or two night stays are available on request please asked the quotation.
We welcome one small well behaved dog, charges apply + £35 per stay, rules will apply ...... no dogs to be allowed upstairs,on the furniture or left alone in the Cottages.

Fantastic! Highly recommended.

We had a marvellous couple of days staying in this amazing property. The cottage is immaculate, beautifully presented and has good facilities (including wifi). David was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. Christmas Cottage is well located for the Forest of Dean and is within walking distance of many country walks. We'd highly recommend and would definitely stay again! Many thanks!

Home from home!

We stayed here for five nights as a family plus the dog! Christmas Cottage is finished to a high standard with all mod cons (including wifi). It was spotless and well designed. We were very comfortable and felt at home here. The cottage is in a lovely location and we enjoyed several stunning walks around Blakeney and the surrounding countryside. We also visited some lovely places in the Forest of Dean and highly recommend Lydney Harbour and the Sculpture Trail. We also sampled the local fish and chip shop and the Italian restaurant across the road - both very good! Thank you David for making us feel so welcome and we hope to be back again later in the year ☺ Many thanks!

A perfect Autumn break

We stayed at Christmas cottage for 4 nights and enjoyed a lovely stay. The cottage is very comfortable and decorated to a high standard. My little girl loved the art/pictures on the walls! We had everything we needed and the local shop being so close was a definite plus! The cottage owner was really helpful and friendly and gave us some good tips about the area. It was a great location from which to explore the stunning local area. Hope to return!

Great Base to Explore The Forest Of Dean

A beautiful little cottage decorated with great style and character. Warm and comfortable with every amenity we could need for a short break. Great getaway

We had a fantastic stay in Christmas Cottage. The cottage itself is immaculate, with everything you could possibly need. David is a great host, who is always quick to reply if you need any advise or help. Its also a great base to explore the fantastic countryside around this area. Just bear in mind that the cottage is behind a fairly busy road, so may not be suitable if you are a light sleeper.

Incredibly well presented cottage. Superb hideaway from which to explore

There’s simply nothing to find fault in, with Christmas Cottage. I travelled alone with two young children and felt secure, welcomed and incredibly comfortable. David ensured we had everything we needed - it’s a very well equipped place. And of course the Forest of Dean offered so much in terms of beautiful places to explore. Fabulous memories to take home. Mini Summer Break

I booked the Christmas cottage as a surprise for our anniversary, and my husband wasn’t disappointed, the cottage was beautifully decorated, very comfortable lounge, an extremely comfortable bed.. It’s situated about 35 minutes from Goodrich Castle, and Symonds Yat. We had some lovely walks in Forest of Dean, 15 minutes away in the car, and the dogs particularly enjoyed Mallards Pike Lakes, also 15 minutes away, the water was refreshing for the dogs on such a hot beautiful day.. We stayed here 4 days and enjoyed every minute, I would definitely recommend the Christmas cottage, David the owner was always on hand to assist, looking forward to rebooking soon. Christmas Cottage was attractive and restful, in a lovely part of the world. There was a slight learning curve with going upstairs, with the emphasis on "curve", but no doubt we are all the fitter now!

Great short break

We had a truly lovely short break at this beautiful cottage with our two teenagers. The cottage was very clean and we had everything we needed. It was also great to be greeted so warmly by David soon after we arrived. The cottage is a true gem in a very beautiful part of the Country. We will definitely be back. The McDonalds

little gem

We stayed at Christmas cottage and it was wonderful. The host was delightful, helpful and friendly but respectful of privacy. Truely a home away from home!

The cottage was exactly how we imagined and exactly what we saw in the pictures. The details and the decor made us feel right at home. David was there to meet us, we already felt like we knew him. We wanted a few nights away from the bustle and crazy work schedule in London, we wanted somewhere quiet and full of greenery, which is exactly what we got! The cottage was clean and so cosy. Exceeded our expectations!

What a delightful place in which to spend much of our first trip to England! Our host was friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the little market and the staff who were ever so helpful with dining suggestions and directions to the Forest of Dean. It was an added bonus to discover that David and I share a remarkably similar taste in motorcycles. We each have the same model of Harley Davidson! This was a great place to stay in the middle of so many great places to see! You won't be sorry you stayed at Christmas Cottage!

Home sweet home!

Genau das ist das Motto, das eigentlich alles sagt!! Wir haben uns sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt. Das Cottage ist mit viel Liebe fürs Detail eingerichtet und trotzdem technisch sehr gut ausgestattet. Auch Gastgeber David hat sich immer wieder erkundigt, ob alles in Ordnung ist und wir uns wohlfühlen. Dies konnten wir ganz eindeutig mit JAAAAAAAA! beantworten. Rührig, aber nie aufdringlich, haben wir immer mal einen kurzen Plausch gehalten. :-D Gerne wieder!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful, charming, clean, homely, pretty, welcoming and perfect!

It's so wonderful to book somewhere that is exactly like the pictures, the cottage was clean, pretty, full of personal touches, had all the essentials and David even popped over to say hello which was really polite of him. It was a quiet location and had a small supermarket around the corner, a lovely Italian restaurant and a fish/chip shop. The cottage was the perfect size for the 4 of us staying there, the rooms were good sizes, the lounge was nice and the kitchen was a nice size for us to cook in. I would highly recommend anyone to book this cottage. Thanks for a lovely stay David.
