About this property

Located approximately 10 miles west of Circle T Arena, in Hamilton, TX. This quiet ranch retreat, known as the Bell House, is nestled in a native pecan grove on Artesian Cattle Ranch. Come escape the hustle and bustle of city life, or use us as a more private option for your stay during your equestrian activities at Circle T Arena.

This is a working ranch with cattle, horses, hay and native pecan production along the Leon River. We offer our shelled pecan halves and pieces in 1 lb. & 4 lb. bags. Contact us for larger packages. We raise our own Akaushi beef which is also available for purchase during your stay, a grill and grilling utensils are provided at the house.

Dogs are welcome with a nightly pet fee. Please keep dogs leashed or within a fenced yard due to livestock. There is an attached 2 car garage as well. No firearms, please.

Beautiful Ranch Setting

This home is on a 2200 acre working cattle and pecan ranch. The home is very nice, but the setting is what i loved the most. We were all grieving over a family member who had passed but the home was a wonderful , peacful pkace to spend with family and friends during such a difficult time. The hostess was so nice and very responsive to us.

Horse Show Gals

My friends and I stayed here for a couple of nights while we were attending our horse show. The house was very clean and had all of the amenities which was awesome! We were able to have everything we needed to cook our meals. I personally recommend this place if you need somewhere to stay in Hamilton. It's on a beautiful piece of property! The property managers are very accommodating and kind!

Beautiful countey home

Despite the rain and mud we had a great time. The property was perfect for our family and our fur family too. We definitely recommend the Artesia Ranch!!

Family Friendly

The house was perfect for our Thanksgiving get together. Susie was extremely accommodating and responsive to any questions that we needed. She loaded up 3 large tables and chairs for our guest! From a family that uses VRBO at least 6x a year, this was by far the cleanest home we have stayed in. Thank you for your hospitality.

Great property

We were showing at the Circle T Arena. This is a great property in an amazing setting that is within a reasonable drive of the arena. Wish we would have had more time to just sit on the porch!

Ranch Retreat

We loved this home and the ranch property! A wonderful escape from the big city and we enjoyed the beautiful starry nights. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, baking trays, silverware etc. This was great since we planned to cook all our meals there. The house was spotless and had all the bedding and towels we needed for our family. Our host, Susie responded quickly and sent us info well before our arrival and was easily available for any questions that came up. We will definitely be planning to stay again!

Good To Be Back

This was our second stay and there is no doubt we'll be back. The house is perfect for our needs, is always clean, well equipped and we love the fact it has a garage so our car is protected and kept out of the sun. We love the location and the ranch on which the house is located. The surrounding scenery is lovely and its great to see the cattle, donkey's and horses to name but a few. Yesterday evening we were walking our dogs in one of the fields and three horses came running up to check out our Greyhounds. Susie, the property manager is fantastic, very helpful and always making sure we have everything we needed and that the property is perfect for us. This is our second time to this property and we will definitely be back. I'd highly recommend it.

Unique Experience

.We loved our stay at Artesian Ranch; the house is very comfortable and attractive with a large well-appointed kitchen. Next time we go, I might even cook! The pecan orchard is gorgeous and the cattle give a real pastoral, idyllic sense. This property is so beautiful and quiet, even though it is a large, working ranch. The Stallings' work and obvious appreciation of the land is evident. We are anxious to try the Akaushi beef we purchased from our host, Susie. She was a delight to meet. We ventured to Hico for the Steak Cook-Off – unique affair for sure.

Very relaxing

The property is a working ranch and the house is about a half mile from the main highway. So, easy access, but not traffic noise. The kitchen is well appointed, as is the outdoor gas grill. We cooked a bunch with our family and loved it. The house is basically all new inside, including all appliances. I would highly recommend this place for a relaxing stay in the country!

Lovely stay on the ranch

Our whole family enjoyed our stay on the ranch. It was nice to wake up to the cattle and calves in the field behind the house. The kids had fun walking the empty pastures to forage for pecans and to find marshmallow roasting sticks to make s’mores. We purchased steaks, hamburger, and pecans from the ranch store, and they did not disappoint. The owners also made sure we had enough propane so we could grill them up during our stay. When a storm came through overnight, the owners made sure we knew about it and could stay safe. The limited cell service was a challenge at times, but it was nice to be disconnected. The property is not to far from grocery stores and restaurants. We also had fun having dinner and seeing a concert at The Grain in Hamilton during our stay. Thank you for the hospitality.

Peaceful Stay

Perfect for our needs. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Wish we had more time to enjoy the outdoors while we were there but we were on campus for Tarleton Homecoming most of the time. Easy booking, clean, lots of room. Enjoyed our stay.

Quick getaway

Stayed two nights at this fabulous getaway home. When staying here, do yourself a huge favor and purchase meat and pecans from owner! Home was very clean and well taken care of throughout home and property. So grateful to have met owners while purchasing meat, two wonderful people that could not have been kinder! Staying at this home was a much needed peaceful recharge from our busy city life in Houston.

Wonderful Stay & Wonderful Location

We had an absolutely wonderful stay on this working ranch. The house we rented was very clean, had all the amenities and the hosts Susie and her husband Tim were fantastic. Susie was very responsive to our requests and showed us around including meeting her pride donkey's. We rent properties often and this is by far the nicest house we've rented. We also liked there was a fence around our house so that we could let our two Greyhounds out off leash. We did some nice walks on the property and we drove North to Comanche TX to explore the town and get some dinner. There is no doubt we will be going back. Craig
