BEFORE YOU BOOK PLEASE READ
From November 1- April 15 please be aware of the Utah Department of Transportation and Town of Brighton rules pertaining to snow tires requiring M/S or M+S tires, snow tires (3PMSF), or chains to make it safely up the canyon and to the home. Snow plowing on neighborhood roads is provided by local vendors and intermittent. Cottonwood Lodging does not have control over snow plowing. Please plan to check in by 8pm to avoid unplowed roads if it is storming and note that this home can accommodate ONLY 2 vehicles.

Winter Guided Arrival:
- At the request of the neighborhood to ensure that no one gets stuck or lost and disturbs the locals, a staff member will meet you on the main road and guide you to your property. Please plan to check in by 8pm to avoid unplowed roads if it is storming. Please do not arrive on your own even if you have stayed with us before. This keeps a positive relationship with the neighbors who appreciate it.

Castle Butenham provides the perfect blend of luxury and comfort in a stunning, private mountain setting. Located at Brighton Resort with access to the Milly Express Lift just a 1 or 2-minute walk up the road, you will immediately feel at ease on your vacation!
Excellent amenities (such as large gas fireplaces, smart TVs, a home theater, laundry on-site, and a propane grill) and tasteful furnishings in a warm, cabin-inspired interior combine to create a luxurious and convenient home base for your mountain retreat.

PLEASE NOTE - this home has a closed-off studio apartment below the garage with a separate entrance which the owner occasionally occupies.

MAIN LEVEL:
-Wraparound Deck- Catch breathtaking views of the mountain off the deck, where you'll also find a private hot tub, propane grill, and exterior gas fireplace!

-Primary Suite- Large primary suite includes a flat-screen smart TV, gas fireplace, and a huge bathroom with jetted tub, double sinks, and separate glass shower.

-Queen Bedroom- One of two tastefully furnished queen bedrooms with tons of closet space!

-Common Bathroom- Full bathroom with double sinks and standing shower.

-Kitchen- Modern kitchen with custom cabinets and counters! You'll be able to prepare huge feasts on the 6-burner gas stove and large oven.

-Dining Area- Full-sized dining table for 6, with 5 additional seats at the kitchen island!

-Great Room- Sink into the cozy leather couch in front of a roaring fire! Huge gas fireplace is remote-operated with a built-in screen and beautiful custom mantle.

UPSTAIRS:
(Open loft-style floor plan separated into 2 sections, joined by a walkway)

-Entertainment Side- featuring a Foosball and a Ping Pong table, as well as a small lounge area!

-Loft Side- Across the walk, you'll find a full bed tucked away under a slanted ceiling, and a smart TV with huge bean bags to relax and watch a movie at the end of the day.

DOWNSTAIRS:
-Home Theater- Huge retractable projection screen hooked up to Apple TV. Kick back in the deep leather couches in front of a theater-worthy screen with an awesome sound system! There is also a nearby wet bar with beverage fridge.

-Double Bunk Room- This room contains two separate bunk beds; one is a Twin/Twin bunk, and the other is a Full/Full.

-Queen Bedroom- The second spacious queen bedroom located down the hall from the bunk rooms.

-Common Full Bathroom- Downstairs we have a common bathroom with combo tub/shower. All essentials are provided (TP, soap, shampoo, conditioner)!

Beautiful

The cabin is amazing, the layout works flawlessly. There was enough room for everyone to do exactly what they wanted. The location was good, very close to Brighton you can only ski in from Milly, the hike/ walk to Brighton might be a bit much for an older group. Our ages ranged from 45 to 15 so it worked great for us. We would love to return, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful gem.

Wonderful Trip

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The home is beautiful and well kept - plus it has everything you need for the entire group, from young kids to teenagers to adults, to be entertained. Our enjoyment and fun definitely continued after we returned from the slopes. The property managers are incredibly responsive and helpful - they really enhanced our experience. Highly recommend!

Castle Butenham was Fantastic!

This property truly had everything you need for an amazing ski in and ski out vacation! From the views sitting in the hot tub at the end of a solid ski day to the ample ammenities this was a perfect spot!! Brighton did not disappoint!! :)

Beautiful home, perfect for large group

Home was clean, well stocked with spices and needed equipment including 2 crockpots. Perfect for both younger children and older. 4WD is REQUIRED. Don’t chance it. Hot tub was not on when we arrived—recommend turning it on when you arrive if you want to use it as it takes 12+ hours to heat. Overall, excellent stay! Plenty of room for our large group. Would definitely stay again.

Great property excellent property manager

Group of 5 friends skiing at Brighton and was very pleased. The house was excellent and it was ski in and ski out from the Milly express quad. There were issues with our stay that the property manager quickly solved and provided great customer service. All rental properties have pros and cons. What makes the difference is the ability for a property manager to quickly communicate and solve issues. I wanted to say thank you for great customer service and a great stay.

Great place for a family get together

We loved being able to access the slopes directly from the house, the space enabled all of us to have fun and have some private areas. The outdoors jacuzzi was a great plus after a day on the slopes.

Love the location

We enjoyed very much our stay. Location is awesome by Ski lift. We loved the hot tub, heated floors, heated garage and all the amenities. The only things I would change is the pillows( all of the pillows are old and don’t smell or look fresh!!!) and definitely a TV in living room above the fire place. Other than that we had a great stay.

It was nice to have the basement level for our kids and there were many activities in the surrounding areas even in the summer! The only bummer part is the upstairs fan was broken during our stay, so it was a bit warm for the person sleeping upstairs. But overall it was great experience and we would come back!

Great home

We enjoyed this house. It worked great for us with 3 families totaling 12 people. The hot tub was a hit and being up on the mountain provided much cooler temps. The foosball table and ping pong table were loved by the kids. Everything was clean and usable. The only thing missing was measuring cups, which is an easy remedy. I’d recommend this house.

Perfect all around

I booked this place for a ski trip with 10 friends. 4 couples and 2 single guys. They loved the location and the amenities and kept commending me on how amazing it was. We also got a fresh 5in of powder in early April which was amazing. For those going during ski season, like everyone says you absolutely need a 4wd vehicle. But what they don’t say is that you probably don’t want it to be a large truck. One of our 2 vehicles we rented was a large Ram truck and it only fit on one side of the garage, and the turn/angle to back it in was hell every time we wanted to take it out for a drive. Outside of that everything was great!

Much more spacious than the pictures show

Truly a ski in / ski out place, we did that every day. Almost not enough time to use all the amenities. I would use it again and recommend for sure. The kitchen was a bit under stocked with essential utensils and cookware missing, I would not call it fully stocked.

Brighton ski house

Great property. Plenty of open living space for all members of our party to spend time after the slopes. Well stocked kitchen. Quick access to and from the slopes for day skiing.

This place is HUGE!

Great house for a family ski trip. Easy to hop on the after a short walk to the slopes. Our 5 year old had a little difficulty with the run to ski back to the house but we helped her and hand a ton of fun. Would definitely recommend this place.
