• The ancient Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza are a must see day trip … one of the largest Mayan cities ever built, and one of Mexico’s most important archeological sites
• Playa del Carmen’s 5th Avenue … easily spend a day browsing the famous pedestrian shopping street …

What to eat … like us, we know guests love staying in their own private Casa, but sometimes miss the convenience of a resort where they don't have to cook.
For breakfast you may want to do your own thing, or stroll the street to a local restaurant (we love Lara & Luca for breakfast). For dinner consider mixing it up too, try a few restaurants, and have some dinners catered to your own dining table. Some guests with young children may like the fact that they have the option of arranging a dinner to be catered for the adults in the group after they have put the kids to bed … you have so many choices …
• a five minute stroll (or less in your golf cart) brings you to La Caleta… a lovely restaurant on the water’s edge serving breakfast from 7am through dinner or drinks well into the evening, often with local entertainment …
• also a five minute walk away is Pelican Point, the finest seafood restaurant in Puerto Aventuras, where chef/owner Guillermo will look after you in style, from the morning’s catch ... with his own fishing boat and crew that go out each morning, there is nothing like the freshness of the seafood and fish that Chef Guillermo cooks with …
• or walk another couple of minutes and you have an array of restaurants and pubs that cater to every taste.
• if you just want to stay in your own private Casa Bella, and if you love to cook, there is a fully equipped kitchen waiting for you, and if you prefer, and plan ahead, we will arrange provisioning for you from the full service Chedraui grocery store in town, and have the kitchen and fridge stocked for you.
• or stay in your Casa Bella, but have someone else do the cooking, we can arrange that for you too ... there are some outstanding local chefs that are happy to bring a lovely dinner to your dining table at Casa Bella.
