The Roses rents with a 7-night minimum with check-in and check-out on Friday during peak season (mid-June to mid-August).

Mom's getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at the properties for many years and have always been happy. Changed houses this year and had some issues with the house, things not working, AC quitting twice, etc. Maintenance responded quickly but the problems were not resolved.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: New and updated outdoor firepit space was great. Utilized the addition of garage frig for our drinks. There are some tired mattresses and others that are in great shape. The gathering TV room is small but that works for our group. Has doors that close so the TV watchers are separated from the game players at the tables. Great table space for large group that includes tables on screened porch. No coffee maker for k-cups this year. Skillets were difficult to cook with as the coating was worn off and scratched. Can find anything you’ll need in the kitchen. Crib and pack n play available. High chair and booster seat for the little ones needed a big scrub down this year. The large screened porch is a favorite feature for our group. The location is one of the best at Beachwalk. We have stayed in 5 other homes through the years. The bedroom set up works great for our family. Enjoyed our stay and plan to be back at The Roses next year.

Vacation at the Roses

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house offered great space in a wonderful location. The grandkids loved having their third floor bedroom and bathroom. The porch was a favorite resting spot but make sure you wear flip flops as the porch floor is quite dirty. And take shoes off before entering the house to avoid spreading the dirt. We loved boing across from the Central Park where the kids loved to play and in easy walking distance to the pool. The kitchen had plenty of dishes for our group of 18 and two dishwashers was really helpful. Plenty of comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. We enjoyed the nice fire pit area and the golf cart. We had some problems with the Rose bud apartment above the garage, finding a gas leak from the stove and dryer several days into the trip. It was addressed promptly but both had to be turned off so the family staying there left a few days early. We were reimbursed for two days for that apartment. The staff throughout the complex and main office over the phone were polite and helpful. The facilities throughout the resort were well maintained and so enjoyable for all of our family members. I highly recommend Beachwalk for families wanting to have a fun filled vacation.

Our company made the trip

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful vacation, with a wonderful group of family. The location of our house was ideal. We especially enjoyed the porch. The house could have been much cleaner. There was a dead spider being eaten by ants in the foyer when we came in. The floors. Baseboards &cabinets weren’t as I would expect. The beds and especially the pillows were bad. We loved the huge kitchen it was well equipped. The recycle cans were full when we got there we called on Tuesday & we’re told they would be picked up the next morning but never were. The office staff could not have been better. $20 a day for a training wheel bike is a bit much. I was a great house to entertain in. The other disappointment was the lake was closed to swimming and paddle boarding then the pool closed on Thursday. If I was to recommend this property it would be with a disclaimer . Thank you

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We come here every 2 years for a family reunion with 4 families and 17 people. Is it the best beach in the country? No, BUT we love coming here for the accessibility, simplicity and the kids have a blast! We really enjoyed our stay at The Roses and the layout of the house worked really well for the kids sleeping on the 3rd floor and being away from the noise of the adults. The one area that could use some attention is the cleanliness of the house. The counters and floors seemed like they hadn’t been cleaned between rentals. Our feet were black with in seconds and we had to wear shoes at all times. We had a baby that we couldn’t let crawl because her hands were black after a few minutes on the floor. We ended up trying to clean the floors ourselves but there wasn’t proper cleaning equipment available. Overall we had a great time and plan to come back in hopes the house is cleaner next time!

Loved the Resort but not the house!

Reviewer Comments: Beachwalk Resort is a great place to vacation with your family but I would not recommend spending your hard earned cash on renting "The Roses - Austin Rose and Rose Bud! The house accommodated our family but the screened in porch looked like it hadn't been cleaned since last fall, the grass was a foot tall, none of the appliances worked to full capacity, the vacuums didn't work and the mops were moldy! The outdoor grill started on fire and the handle melted, and the second grill never worked! The coffee pot had to be put together every-time you used it! I give Kudos to the management company who were very responsive and extremely helpful! The pool, small lake and Lake Michigan beach were great and the sunsets beautiful! It was also great to have a snack bar and small store for convenience! We will return but not to The Roses!

Fabulous House for Large Groups

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We met the owners when we took a look at The Roses the year before we stayed, and they could not have been nicer. Every details is taken care of - the wifi actually works! The live TV for sports is in every room! The golf cart is amazing! The location is perfect right next to the park where they have outdoor movie night, and a Beachwalk block from the pool and new activity center. The 3rd floor room with all the twin beds was the perfect spot for our teens and pre-teens. The kitchen had every utensil and pot to make everything we needed. This is not a fancy, don't touch the furniture type of house...but it's the perfect house for your large family!
