Wow!!!! Great 1920s Spanish Casita - Near EVERYTHING!

Given the many recent inquiries, we must be clear that rentals are limited to 15 days or less. And we are so sorry but we do NOT accept CATS. Now on to our house...

In the historical neighborhood of North Park, our 1920s Casita is close to EVERYTHING. Just minutes to beaches, Balboa Park, Petco Park, SDSU Cox Arena, downtown and the Gaslamp District, Coronado, Mission Beach, Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, La Jolla, the Convention Center and Comic-Con. A wide array of unique restaurants, breweries and shops are just a few short blocks away. Perfect for an evening stroll.

We have a fully-stocked and updated kitchen, washer and dryer, window air conditioners in the bedroom and living room and a mini-split system in the kitchen (central air is not possible in our 100-year old home), free WiFi, two TVS with DirecTV, NFL network AND the NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTubeTV, including a TV on our outdoor patio.

Enjoy a glass of wine under the stars while you BBQ on our propane grill and watch your favorite show. An electric fireplace in the living room adds that special ambience on cold, winter nights. As in mid-50s, usually. It is San Diego, after all.

We welcome housebroken and friendly dogs. And little kids, too. Although we have a limit of two each. There is no separate bed for the kids, but the couch is large and offers plenty of space for two mid-to-small sized kids. *Linens provided for couch sleepers.*

Avid environmentalists, we hope you will join us in doing our part to save this world for the next generations. We recycle and watch our water and electricity consumption. It would be much appreciated, but not required, if you would help us out with these efforts.

Sorry, but we don't allow parties or loud noises and music after 9 p.m. This is our home and these are our neighbors and we want to be respectful of them. We really hope you enjoy staying in our home and that you love it as much as we do. It is a pleasure and a privilege to share our home with you.

NOTE: We have a security camera at the front door only. Once you have arrived, please let us know if you would like us to turn it off for the rest of your stay.

(4) Put all dirty dishes and compost bucket in dishwasher and start dishwasher. Thank you!

Anniversary stay

The Casita was a perfect location for us to celebrate our 42nd anniversary in San Diego. Elicia and Amy provided everything we could have asked. The property is located in a convenient part of the city, close to Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, Gaslamp District, Little Italy, etc. It also provided a quiet neighborhood retreat after an active day. We would certainly stay there again and highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone staying in San Diego!

Charming, welcoming, and well-equipped!

My partner, senior pups, and I stayed at the casita over new year's and loved every moment of it. Elicia was very accommodating, giving extra attention and detail to our senior pups needs, as well. The living area was nice and open, with plenty of comfortable seating for family gatherings or to snuggle up and watch TV. The kitchen was perfect for anyone who loves to cook: well-stocked and well-equipped. I don't think there was a single thing missing from the kitchen that I wouldn't have at home, which made it really easy to prepare and host family meals. We were really touched by their thoughtfulness in making sure our old dogs were comfortable by leaving them a crate chockful of doggy supplies and goodies. Having an easily accessible, small, grassy dog run was perfect for them, too. Additionally, they lent us a doggie stroller, in case our older pups who don't see or get around as well as they used to, could cruise around the neighborhood with ease. Overall, our experience staying here was nothing short of perfect. I would book this place again in a heartbeat!

Charming North Park Casita

Very Vintage and Charming Casita. A short walk to University Ave and tons of restaurants, shops, and service vendors! This is one of the most well-appointed VRBOs I have ever stayed in. Every possible spice and kitchen appliance and all of it newer! Very comfortable, clean, and quiet!

Perfecto!

This is the perfect San Diego getaway for a couple and their dog. A lovely, well maintained and clean home that is pet friendly, comfortable and has great location. We love this neighborhood as it is walkable with several great coffee shops and restaurants. The hosts, Amy & Elicia, are very friendly and made everything so easy. They really have thought of everything! Can't wait to get back.

What a SD Treasure!

Elicia and Amy's casita is just spectacular!! Nestled in a beautiful neighborhood, my wife and I spent 4 days with our pups and could not have been more pleased. The home was extremely clean, well maintained, and the perfect size for our little family. The house just has a good vibe too, you can feel the love and attention that was put into it. Outstanding experience

The house is very convenient to Balboa Park, shopping, and restaurants. We were able to walk to many locations. It was on a quiet street with great parking. The dog run was so convenient and our mini dachshund had no trouble learning it’s location. The welcome baskets were more than we expected especially the one for our fur baby. The bed was so comfortable (better than any hotel we had stayed in). Good water pressure in the kitchen and bathroom (esp. the shower). We would stay here again!

Incredible stay in North Park!

My partner and I plus our 2 dogs stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect for our activities. We packed our bikes and biked around North and South Park. The hosts thought of everything we could possibly need! I’m not sure if we have experienced more thoughtful hosts. We took our dogs to Grape St Dog Park which came in a list of recommendations the host provided. The place is well kept, comfortable and updated with new appliances. We loved the character & comfort of this home and even chose to spend an evening in instead of our original dinner plans. We hope to come back soon!

Birthday celebration visit

Great location and easy to access freeways. Good walking area with many types and colors of plants. Restaurants are definitely within walking distance. The Casata has a great floor plan with plenty of space for unpacking and enjoying our stay. Special note * Thanks for all the 'treats'!

Wonderful Casita in North Park

We truly enjoyed our stay in the casita in North Park. The owners, Elicia and Amy, were so welcoming! They even ensured that our dog Ella was happy - with treats, toys, etc. Elicia and Amy checked that we were safe during a large storm and gave us ideas of things to do, see, restaurants to try, and so many other things. We would definitely stay there again on our next visit to San Diego. Also, we would recommend their casita as the place to stay in San Diego as well.

Long weekend!
