Stunning view over bay
My second visit to Astor Hse. I travel out of season (Oct/Nov) due to my work, and find Astor Hse a true pleasure. Apt 8 and 9 have huge bay windows leading onto good sized furnished terraces, which look south over 'Torbay' giving stunning views. The apts are warm and spacious and provide everything you need during your visit. The shops, theatre, cinema, cafes and bars are all close, but bare in mind there are steep steps to reach all of these. The manager (Jacqui) and owner (Steve) provide very good communication.

apartment 8
we stayed in apartment 8, the view was stunning from the balcony. the apartment benefits from large spacious rooms and has all the basic requirements. although i had read some reviews regarding the parking, i found it easy and safe.

Astor house
Staying at Astor house was really lovely and would stay there again. I would go direct next time as booking.com was a bit of a nightmare and I couldnt get hold of anyone at either plum locations or booking.com to get back to me as they took money out of my account without notifying me first. But I did get it sorted eventually and it was a nice place to stay.

Excellent view.
Had a lovely 3 day stay in this apartment. What a view! The setting was absolutely stunning and we hope to return sometime. Thank you! Parking can be an issue but we paid extra to reserve a parking bay outside the property.

Torquay Apartment
This is a very comfortable apartment. The information on the Internet implies that the unit has a washer/ dryer. This is not the case. We were able to use the washers located in the basement, but this is not what we were looking for and expecting. That was the only disappointment. The walk to and from town was a good workout! Overall, we enjoyed the apartment and our visit to this part of England.

Lovely view
Lovely view of the beach from the balcony. Very nice to sit on the balcony but you do hear the traffic from below on the balcony. The wi-fi works perfectly but has some blind spots on the balcony. The freezer compartment in the fridge was very icy and made everything very cold. The containers with soap and lotion in the bathroom was a nice feature. The sofa bed in living room was a bit old and not so comfortable but it works for children. The bed in the bedroom was good.

Stunning view
Stunning views and lovely appartment. Close to amenities but nice and quiet location. The apartment offered all equipment required and was warm and comfortable. The gardens were attractive and the walk through them into town was lovely!

6/10 Okay

The apartment was exactly as shown on line. It was well maintained and clean.
The apartment had just been newly redecorated and the paint fumes caused us headaches and a general feeling of malaise. It should have had more time for airing and proper paint drying before being rented out. All of the doors were sticking. We had rented out out a parking space but we're not told where our space was until two or three days into our visit when we saw the house manager and asked her. We found the mattress very uncomfortable, maybe time for a new one. Other than those complaints we found the appartment' s view absolutely stunning. We loved the layout, great little kitchen, well equipped. The house manager was very friendly and helpful. If it hadn't been for the paint fumes ,we would have given it a 5 star.

Lovely Appartment
Great apartment, great location & views, ideal for a family, easy access on foot through the gardens to the sea front - second year running that we've stayed, so I guess that says it all!

Great Family Holiday
Had a really nice stay at Astor House, sea views were amazing and location perfect - only downside was walking up the hill from the beach back to apartment! Would definately revisit Torquay and stay at Astor House again so recommend this Holiday to others as we really enjoyed ourselves!
