About this property

Casa Veranera is two blocks away from beautiful Playa Grande beach, and walking distance to local bars, restaurants and shops.

The road from San Jose airport or Liberia airport is paved all the way to the house.

This beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house is just two minute walk to the Playa Grande beach, you can hear the ocean when sitting on the porch, watch humming birds and butterflies flying around the tropical flowers planted right in front of the house or relax at our private pool area with brand new pool and Rancho. The house is furnished with custom made teak furniture.

Upstairs is a large bedroom with king size bed and bunk bed ( twin bed on topand fullbed on bottom ), teak ceiling and private bathroom with his and hers sink, walk in shower, private toilet and jacuzzi tub. This bedroom opens up to the private upstairs porch where you can enjoy beautiful sunset relaxing on the oversized daybed or watch rain coming down in green season.

Downstairs are two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. Each bedroom has a king size bed, ceiling fan and A/C unit.

The kitchen has granite countertop and is equipped with stainless steal fridge, gas range with 4 burners and oven, dishwasher, blender, food processor, coffee maker, pots, pans, plates, glasses, silverware and all you might need for cooking. All major appliances have been replaced with new ones in June 2018.

The dinning room has a beautiful round teak table with 6 chairs and connects the kitchen with the living room.

The living room is spacious with two reclining chairs, two sofas, oversized table and 43inch LG TV.

For families traveling with babies and small kids we have pack'n'play, Fisher Price booster chair and travel bathtub.

The house has a brand new easy-to-use state-of-the-art security system. A safe for personal valuables is also available for our guests. House got also updated in fall 2018 with Pella architect line windows with high security hurricane glass. In addition to the security system this house has decorative security bars on windows and upstairs porch door and the whole property has concrete wall around.

The parking area for up to 3 cars is right in front of the house behind the fence. Also the tourist police station is only one block away as well as The leatherback turtle station where you can book night tour and see one of these beautiful giants nest on the beach during the nesting season ( October - March ).

There is off street secure parking, maid service and laundry room available for our clients.

So come enjoy the beauty of Playa Grande, home of the Las Baulas National Park, where you can enjoy your days on the beach sunbathing, swimming, surfing or experience the beauty of the giant leatherback turtles on one of the night tours that takes place on the beach right in front of the house.
Rincon de la Vieja, where you can go for hike, canopy tour, enjoy hot springs or visit hummingbird garden is only 1,5 hour by car from Playa Grande.

Playa Grande is 1 hour away from Liberia international airport and 20 minutes away from Tamarindo airport.

Great Stay

We had a lovely time at this property. Just steps to the beach. House was clean, lots of room for our family of 7, fully stocked kitchen. Close to shops and Tamarindo (although Playa Grande was much nicer and way less crowded, so we preferred to stay local) there were even 25+ howler monkeys in the trees on the walk to the beach! Kimberly, the property manager, is very responsive. Wish we had more time!

Fabulous home in Playa Grande

We stayed at Casa Veranera for 10 nights over Spring Break and had a fabulous time. The house is great, the location just a few minutes from the beach and close to the restaurants and mini mart. We did not have a car but Kimberly arranged a driver (Alejandro) to pick us up from the airport which was great. Kimberly cooked a meal for us and our friends that was incredible. We will definitely be back

Paradise

There is absolutely nothing negative I could say about our stay. The house is in a perfect location and so close to the beach and anything you need. Kimberly and her family made sure everything during our stay was smooth and always there if we needed anything! She is such an amazing cook and I highly recommend getting her to prepare one of her delicious meals while you are there. The house was spotless when we arrived and the beds were all so very comfortable with new linens. The pool area was perfect on those hot Costa Rican afternoons! The best part was the porch though- perfect place to relax and enjoy the day and meals. When we were booking Bruce and his wife were so quick to answer any questions I had and offered great advice. We will be back for sure!

Amazing property and location!

We loved our time at this property! We were a group of 3 adults and 4 teens and the house perfectly accommodated all of us with plenty of space. We received excellent information and communication from the property owner and manager in advance and the house was spotless when we arrived. It was well appointed with everything we needed to cook for ourselves and we also took advantage of the offer to have Kimberley prepare us a delicious meal one evening (one of the best meals of our trip!). The house is just a short walk from a beautiful beach and there are several restaurants in walking distance. We enjoyed lounging by the pool and on the covered porch. The house is just under 30 minutes to Tamarindo. I would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again without a doubt!

Lovely Stay!

Located in the small community of Playa Grandé, very near a magnificent beach, complete with good sized-private pool, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable king beds, clean & secure with efficient & friendly manager & grounds-keeper team, Kimberly & Randy, Casa Veranera was more than we had hoped for. Kimberly was even available to cook us a delicious Costa Rican meal! There are also great little restaurants scattered throughout the community. The area is growing so there’s construction activity & noise but the all the pluses outweighed that issue for us. Thank you Bruce! We hope to be back! 💓 Pura Vida!

Excellent home

The rental process and communication with the owner were excellent. The property managers were always there when needed and I would highly recommend that you have Kimberly make a meal or 2 while you are there - she's an awesome cook This is a beautiful home that has everything you could need for a stay in Costa Rica. It is very spacious and clean. The pool is a real plus and a great place to have a cocktail in escape the heat of the day. There are a number of good restaurants and stores that are within walking distance as is the beautiful beach which is 2 blocks away. This is a residential, growing area so there is normal residential noise but this did not distract from our experience. If you are traveling to CR I highly recommend staying at this property.

10/10 Vacation Home

We had a fantastic 4 night stay at Bruce's home in Playa Grande and our only regret was not booking the house for a full week instead! The location is fantastic; it's walking distance to the beach and a handful of restaurants and bars. We enjoyed slow time cooling off in the pool in the afternoons and lazing on the hammocks and balcony furniture. The house was far more space than 2 couples needed but we booked it solely for the location and extra amenities, including gated parking, beach towels, full kitchen, and laundry machines. We also had Kimberly (property manager) prepare us a dinner one night consisting of fresh lobster tail, shrimp, and typical local side dishes that was incredibly delicious. She was very accommodating to our schedule for check in and check out and made herself available to answer any questions we had during our brief stay. I would absolutely return to this house again in the future. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Great house close to beach

We loved this home. It was spacious, the pool was great and close to the beach. it was easy to communicate with the owner and property manager. My kids wanted to eat at Taco Star for every meal after boogie boarding and playing in the ocean.

Gorgeous property

The property is well kept, clean and spacious. Beds and pillows are comfortable. It's a few steps away from the beach and very close by to many other beaches. The owner Bruce and Manager Kimberly are very communicative, helpful and friendly. Bruce was very accommodating to some of my requests, even though at the end we did not used. It was a great find for our family. I Highly recommend Casa Veranera.

We had the best time here, the house is spacious and great for group dinners. Great communication with the management group. You can walk to everywhere you need to go from this location (mini mart, restaurants, beach). The grill and pool was the cherry on top! Thank you Bruce!

Nice place to stay

The house was just as advertised and we enjoyed our stay at Casa Veranera! We spent a lot of time in the pool which was great. The only things that we hadn’t anticipated were construction on a house behind it which was from 7am-5pm, and the road in front of the home is a bit busier than we thought it would be. The host and property manager were very nice and good to work with! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Perfect location, we love this house!

We absolutely loved this house. The pool, the space, the layout. It was wonderful, safe, walking distance to local restaurants. Walking distance to the beach, as long as you’re not bringing a lot of stuff. If so, it’s easier to drive. The only thing is the jacuzzi tub doesn’t work, not sure if that’s even in the description as a feature though. And the oven needs an upgrade. We couldn’t get it warm enough to actually use it. But honestly, everything else is just perfect! I would highly recommend and we would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect Home & Location

We have been to Playa Grande a dozen times and try to stay in a different vacation home each time. We truly loved everything about this one! Layout of the property was great. Location was super easy to walk to restaurants, shops & the beach. We even flew our drone to the beach to check on the surf while drinking our coffee on the nice front porch. The pool was clean and relaxing. The staff communicated great. They were even able to set up a massage therapist to come to the house and give a massage by the pool. The tv had a hdmi cable that we hooked our laptop up to at night time for family movie time. Kitchen had everything we could possibly imagine for cooking, including good knives which is always a nice plus. The first night our AC in the master was having trouble and the maintenance team was on top of it quickly and had a brand new one installed the very next morning. The only thing I would recommend is surfboard storage. We laid our boards in the grass and on the front porch but it would have been nice to have a rack. You can't go wrong booking this home. And yes, you can hear the howler monkeys from the home.

Beautiful home, attentive house manager

We spent a few days in Playa Grande. The property is clean, secure and well maintained. Linens and towels were clean. The beds were very comfortable and very clean. The house manager, Kimberly, was helpful and attentive. She helped us cooking a meal every day for us, which was delicious and served on time. We're planning on back! Thank you, Mr. Puckett!

Fantastic Place

We absolutely loved our trip to Costa Rica and this house only added to a great trip! We walked to the beach every night and enjoyed the most beautiful sunsets then came back for a swim in the pool. The house was equipped with everything we needed from a ton of towels to a blender to make refreshing cocktails. You can walk to Rip Jacks which has great food and drinks and Taco Star on the beach which my husband said are the best tacos he ever ate. The house had a lot of space. It was my husband and I and two kids 13 and 19. All agreed it was the best vacation ever!

Great property and zero hassle

From the booking and initial communication to the check in with team on the ground in Costa Rica, the trip was fantastic. The owner and property managers were very responsive and willing to help with the challenges to international travel. The property was clean and well stocked. The pool area and outdoor spaces were the highlight of the property. We have young children and the only time they left the pool was to take the 5 minute walk to the beach. The property is also close to local restaurants and bars. Can't wait to stay again.
