Second stay here and it was better than the first! Cozy but spacious for kids and adults, on a quiet road with friendly neighbors, amy is so responsive and helpful! We love this lake and love staying here!
We had an amazing stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for something in the area! It was perfect for our long family weekend vacation. We are already talking about trying to go back and stay in the same place again in the future.
We had a wonderful vacation and really enjoyed being on the Thompson lake again. It was a great time and our family had a lot fun with all the water sports. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises! We will rent again.
Photos are accurate. It sits right on the lake! Very little traffic on the street. You can swim right off the dock! Home has plenty of room for 7 adults. Deck is huge. Kitchen is well stocked. Would be happy to stay there again!
Love staying here in this cute house. The view is spectacular, the neighbors are wonderful and the house has so many amenities! We used the paddleboat, kayaks and tubes to enjoy the lake.
The house itself needs some work, but the brand new dock was nice and I always love staying here.
Amy is always wonderful to work with and she is always so responsive and helpful. Already booked for next year☺️
Property was just as described. We were not disappointed at all. Compared to other listings on Thompson Lake, this property is very well priced. Owner was easy to communicate with and very apologetic for a couple of questions and items I had let them know about. We would definitely stay here again without any question. We absolutely did not want to leave.
The lake was beautiful and the neighbors great! Well stocked kitchen and bathroom necessities….they even provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash! One issue we had was with the basement room. No one could sleep there because of the mildew smell. My sister, who has asthma and allergies, slept in the first floor bedroom and was still affected by the odor etc. I realize the house is built into a hill so that area is damp and the owner had a dehumidifier going but it was still unsleepable.

Family Time
We enjoyed staying at this property, but there were several issues. We were never told about the water issue until the day we arrived. Had we known, we could have prepared ahead for it. Another very annoying issue was the trash from a previous renter sat in the garage and was never removed. We could smell the garbage as we sat on the deck above it. I also found the surface of that deck was very tricky to walk on. I tripped several times.
The house was perfect for our needs--plenty of different sleeping areas for 7 of us needing different kinds of accommodations. Deck was lovely/ideal for our group to eat and relax. Used one of the kayaks and found everything we needed for the most part. We did need to buy a few things that we were surprised by: toilet paper b/c there was only one extra roll; K-cups b/c we didn't expect a Keurig to be the only coffee delivery vehicle (definitely recommend offering a drip or other coffee maker for larger groups likely staying at this house); hand soap for the bathroom; extra dish soap b/c there wasn't much left for a four night stay. The kitchen was smaller (definitely a galley kitchen) than ideal for a big group, but the living room was comfortable for all of us, which was great. Finally, the road noise is definitely substantial--could still hear loons at night though as road noise was not in the house and the windows face the lake, but on the deck we sometimes needed to shout or wait to speak to be heard. But it was otherwise really perfect for our needs and the owner/proprietor was immediately responsive when there was a couple hour power outage in the area after a storm, which we really appreciated! Would recommend!
I want to say its horrible for fear it will book up too soon!
Loved our stay at this wonderful house. The house was great! The check in was easy and smooth. The neighbors are fabulous and friendly. Amy was a peach to work with! Lake was clean and gorgeous. Not noisey- just peaceful bliss. Truly my happy place❤️
This place had plenty of room for our large group, lots of space for the kids to run and play, and the waterfront views are amazing. We will be booking again!
Although we had a very short stay, we enjoyed ourselves! House is really unique, has a very campy feel to it and has plenty of space. We really liked the dock. We didn’t initially realize that there wasn’t a sandy spot or easy access into the water other than the dock but our children still had fun swimming. Amy was EXTREMELY communicative and responsive to all my messages in a very timely fashion which I REALLY appreciated. Overall, we had a good little stay!
