About this property

Colonial Brick Home Nestled in the Woods.

Colonial Williamsburg, come and enjoy our 2300 sq ft colonial style brick home nestled in the woods. The furnishings and architecture work in harmony to echo Virginia's Colonial heritage without compromising comfort, located in the established Kingswood neighborhood. Enjoy the relaxing back patio overlooking a private wooded yard. Grill out, or eat in and make a beautiful meal in the large fully equipped kitchen, and sit down to dine in the large elegant dining room. Sit for coffee and tea in the breakfast nook area surrounded by large windows and watch local wildlife like deer, hummingbirds, and butterflies. With so much to do in the area from visiting historical sites, salt spas, theme parks, and shopping your itinerary is sure to be very full. However, you may find yourself wanting to stay in this home more and go out a little less; shooting pool with the family and friends, or relaxing under the rainforest shower heads in the master suite, and then put your feet up and watch some tv in the new comfortable new beddings.

Great location that felt like home away from home
This vacation rental was a wonderful house for spending my family’s summer vacation. This house is perfectly centrally located to reach everything you could want or need such as groceries, restaurants , gift shops, sightseeing, Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, Busch Gardens, and only an hour from Virginia Beach! This home is in a beautiful, safe, quiet and friendly neighborhood. We felt we were tucked away in a peaceful woodsy atmosphere, yet it was only about a 10-15-minute drive to the marketplace in Williamsburg! An airy deck on the back was perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails while watching the squirrels, rabbits, and even deer roaming in the wide but secluded back yard. The house was large, clean, and perfectly suited for my family’s one week vacation in June. The primary bathroom shower felt like a spa with separate dual rain-like shower heads. A modern Keurig machine with a variety of coffee choices awaited our mornings. The pristine pool table added a fantastic touch for entertainment on a couple of evenings as well! The hosts quickly responded to any messages or questions I asked on VRBO, and they clearly prioritize wanting their guests to be happy and enjoy their time. I highly recommend!!

House could be outstanding!
On arrival at the property it was obvious that the exterior and gardens were not well cared for at all. Dirty windows, weeds and many spider webs and cobwebs. The interior was extremely well equipped and very spacious, however on further inspection we could see that the house was pretty grubby, especially the kitchen where cupboards and drawers had to be cleaned before use. The dining room chairs were extremely badly stained and grubby. We actually vacuumed The lounge, dining room, kitchen, hallway and cleaned the kitchen floor the first day we were there. This house could be an amazing property to stay in if the owner ensured that the exterior and interior of the property was cleaned properly and thoroughly before guests arrive. Some of the windows at the back of the house actually looked like eggs had been thrown at them! The outdoor grill was also in need of a good clean. It makes me sad to write this review because Williamsburg is lovely and so is the area where the house is situated, we all agreed not to let the the disappointment of how poorly looked after the house was affect our long awaited family vacation and we did manage to do this for most of our stay ☹️ Once again, this house could be amazing but not in its current state.

Great house and we enjoyed our stay. Located in the heart of all things historic Williamburg.
Love the pool table! Comfy, spotless and loaded with so many little extras to make it feel like home. Blankets by the fireplace, extra tooth brushes, a welcome bottle of wine just to name a few. Thank you for a fantastic VRBO experience!

Immaculate home
Some positives: Loved that everything appeared new and clean. Not a lot of junk or clutter in the home. Beds/pillows were clean and comfortable. Liked the use of labels on lights, cabinet items etc. Was pleased to see shampoos, toothbrushes etc as extras. Liked the reference book and sightseeing ideas in the kitchen. My 14 yo enjoyed the pool table which was a nice extra. Our sighting of a big buck in the backyard upon our arrival was also cool since it reminded me of home! Nick returned a phone call immediately after I sent an email with a question after we checked in. The only drawbacks I found was the lack of a TV in the bunkbed bedroom where kids might sleep, a luggage stand in each bedroom would have been nice since we all had a suitcase. Not a fan of plastic serving utensils either but that’s just me. Would have preferred not being asked to strip the beds, take out garbage , run laundry/dishwasher before leaving since we judged wanted to get up and get on the road.. My 78 year old mom found that excessive and I haven’t had to do at other rentals but really was just a minor issue. In all the house was beautiful and a great place to stay. If the need arises again I would definitely try to rent there. Thank you Nick and Lisa.

Williamsburg Getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house. The house was in a more rural setting but it was so close to the Williamsburg activities. Very cozy and comfortable!
