Wonderful experience! Fresh air and solitude! Amazing host with incredible communication! Beautiful people/community who were so welcoming and kind! Rare gem!
My family and I stayed a total of three nights at this property. It’s located in a great area near nice day hikes, Sequoia National Park and the cutest little store that is also a grill with a fantastic menu.
We had a couple small things: the place could use a good deep cleaning. There was a bit of an ant issue due to this. We cleaned up the kitchen and then only had little stragglers. They then set their attention to the rooms. The host, Mark, was responsive and helped us take care of the issue and it made our stay much more comfortable. The other thing isn’t really a problem, as it actually was a positive for our group. There was a little frog, whom we named Kermit. He’d pop up and hop around the tub and then turn to the drain. We were staying up in a wooded area, so expected wildlife. We didn’t want to disturb the little guy so shared the other shower during our stay. Best VRBO pet host ever. We’ll miss Kermit.
Beyond that, we had a really fun stay. And thank you Mark for the bunker full of suggested activities. It was so much help with planning things to do during our time there. We’d be happy to stay at one of your properties the next time we make the trip up!
Comfortable and cool during heatwave indoors
Recommend visiting trail of 100 giants in morning and enjoy the trails and trees
Only downside was generator running near by which I understand is temporary during repairs by utility co

Who let the dogs out!!!
The bird’s eye picture of the property made me think it was secluded. We have a Belgium Malinois that is aggressive with other dogs. The neighbor up the hill has his white dog off leash that sits on the dirt driveway of his home. Our rental property has a barb wire fence around most of the house but the entrance is wide open. Luckily the lady at the Seven Oaks Market referred me to a secluded open area called Gome flats located 1/4 mile from the property. We also took the dogs off leach up the hill behind the property but that was not fun for us old folks but the dogs loved it. Overall we accomplished what we came here for is to “let the dogs out” off leash and run crazy!!!!
Amazing stay, super easy to navigate, entering was a breeze, and host was super responsive and friendly. Seriously recommend. My husband and I will definitely come back.
Nice quiet property with plenty of space for the family dogs to run around! Very close to some easy hikes for the whole family, and Mark was very responsive.
Spent two nights with our dogs to escape valley and noise. Property was private and shady and a creek nearby. Enjoyed the air conditioning and cable. This is not a fancy place but it was clean and spacious and well maintained. Great place for a getaway with your dogs.

Tucked inside the forest and gives you a chance to get connected with Gods Nature
Both the location and the home were very relaxing. I felt immersed in nature and able to also spend a cozy night in with my partner! An excellent vacation get away close to a ton of natural excellence by foot and car!
We had a project in Porterville; The vacation home was very quiet and allowed my crew to relax and unwind. We felt very welcome by the host and community. 2023 experienced unusual snow and rain fall for central California; the host and community very helpful to make sure all went well. This job, due to the vacation home, was a vacation even though we worked every day. We enjoyed 3 1/2 stay!
Very restful, quiet and scenic home away from home.
Host was great to work with; it was our home base for a construction project in nearby Porterville.
In the future, I would like to return with my family during the winter/snow season.
Great place to stay!

Ok
The owner, Mark, is very responsive and clearly worked hard to make visitors informed and feel welcomed. There are signs everywhere to explain things and a great house manual. The property is large but the home does show its age. Some areas of the home have been nicely redone, but others seem ignored. The furniture was in similar shape.
This was our first time renting through VRBO, but we regularly use vacation rentals and I believe our expectations are usually reasonable. We just look for somewhere clean and safe for our young kids and dogs. We try to see the silver lining and did appreciate the quiet and the beautiful stars at night. The locals we encountered were friendly. The hot springs visit was pleasant and we enjoyed the sequoias.
Overall the stay was ok. The house isn’t our cup of tea, but we made some great memories.
Perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful and quiet retreat. About 30 mins to the 100 Giants trail - very nice. HVAC kept the place nice and cool during 100° weather.
Full kitchen to cook meals, and a grill outside.
Mark is a very helpful and attentive host.
My family and I had a great stay. Mark is great with communication, and very helpful. The house has everything you need. Just remember to bring your food. There is a little store down the street but they don’t have everything. Awesome family trip. Would book with mark anytime! Thanks for everything, Mark!
Mark was clear and thorough when it came to providing directions and explaining the check-in/check-out process. The cabin is simple, but met all the basic needs required for a short stay. The area is quiet and remote, perfect for that off-the-grid experience. The air is so fresh and the nearby Trail of 100 Giants was really special. Thanks for a great, affordable getaway!
