Right off the main road to rocky national park. The river was frozen but the scenery was great. Hot tub was nice and clean and a delight in the snow. The fireplace really warmed up the room in the morning.
Went up for a weekend in Estes Park and this property was perfect. It has a full kitchen and two bathrooms, which is very comfortable. Hot tub on deck was clean and well kept. Above the river, but the sound of the river can be heard very well from deck and living room. Check in/ out was very easy. Will stay here again.
Loved it!

Small Getaway
While the place was a little under maintenanced in places it’s perfect for a weekend getaway. You will hear footsteps and people above and around you, but the fans help! Since we didn’t plan to stay in the room much it was still exactly what we were looking for at a reasonable price!
The condo was super nice with all the major necessities. The furnishings were beautiful as well. But the real gem feature was outside! A balcony porch with a hot tub, above a rushing river and a spectacular view of what I believe was deer mountain. I think I spent every moment of our time at the condo on that porch. It was absolutely gorgeous! Just a few miles outside of town so it was away from the crowds, but close enough that it only took a few minutes to be downtown. Plus, right next to the Fall river entrance of RMNP. My only tiny issue was that there was no A/C. But between the large windows, privided fans, porch, and cool mountain breezes, it wasn't really an issue. If we come back to Estes, I will absolutely look into booking this same unit again.
We had a great stay, and had a lovely honeymoon. Very relaxing and no one bothered us. We lived in the private hot tub during our stay. The only thing I could think of which wasn't an issue during our stay since the pool was closed, but to have some sort of retractile shade on the pool side of the balcony. It could be a little intrusive while sitting in the hot tub since the balcony is on the same level as the pool deck. We will definitely want to go back. Maybe for our 1 year anniversary.
The place itself, is very nice inside. The view is great, and the wildlife is fun to see. You have a view of the river, but to actually get to it, isn’t the best. And this is a 4-plex…2 apartments on top, 2 on bottom….and you can hear EVERYTHING….EVERYTHING!!! ANY noise someone else makes or does, you can hear!!! Was not quiet and relaxing! Use your imagination to what EVERYTHING is….when I go to the mountains, a little peacefulness is what I’m looking for, so if that’s what you’re after or have a family, I’d definitely recommend somewhere else!
The setting could not be better for a stay in the mountains. 1 mile from RMNP and right next to a raging river that makes you feel like you are in the wilderness. It's a wonderful getaway
The unit was great, its definitely set up to accommodate a family if need be. The deck view is so peaceful and the sounds of the roaring river make you feel like you are even more remote than you are. The community pool is very close to this unit and I imagine if it was open it would have created more noise, e.t.c. The location was close enough to town that going out felt easy but far enough away that we felt secluded. We didn't want to leave!
Looks like the properties at Fawn Valley Inn are getting a make over as some work is being done on the exterior of the buildings. Our room was very comfortable with new appliances and furniture. The deck had a full size hot tub overlooking the valley. You can hear the river from the deck. If you plan on doing any cooking be aware that pots, pans and dishes are available but only salt and pepper are stored in the cupboards. Bring everything food related. Bring basket coffee filters if you plan on using your own coffee. Overall we had a wonderful time at Fawn Valley and would return again.
We stayed here for a long weekend and had a great time. The hot tub was private and felt great with the cold winter nights. Also loved the fireplace! It really heated up the place nicely. Overall a very romantic weekend!
Would definitely stay here again.
Good overall property, but a bit dated and needs some TLC on the inside and it would be great.
