This is by far one of the best stays I have ever booked. The yacht surpassed what I had hoped it might be. Sunrises were stunning from where she was moored. Climate control was great. Temps outside dipped a bit over the weekend, but we were quite cozy. The living room and covered outdoor deck were incredibly comfortable. Kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms - such great space. Communication with host was great! Really hope to book again. Such a great stay!
We enjoyed our stay on the Kathleen Marie. She is a well-appointed boat. The master cabin has a large comfortable bed. The salon is roomy and the galley has all you need as well. The best part is the back deck. We enjoyed our coffee and watching the sun rise over the Chesapeake Bay! We were in town for the sailboat show so it was busy but Annapolis was lovely and very walkable everywhere.
We are boaters so boating is not new to us. The view out the back of the boat was terrific. We enjoyed having a kitchen for the weekend even a small one. It’s a mile walk to the city dock from this smaller marina. We had some trouble getting into the marina bathrooms (they were not marked) but the host was responsive as well as the marina manager. FYI the sailing Ctr is not the mgt of the marina and they can be prickly.
My family and I loved our magical stay on the Kathleen Marie. The amazing views, the convenient location to Eastport and Annapolis destinations (we walked and also took water taxi), and the great condition of the boat. We ended up using the marina showers because they were so convenient and just terminated as well as the marina washer and dryer (free). Appreciated having the coffee trailer open in the morning. We will definitely return!
Fantastic ! Unique VRBO experience ! Clean, comfortable, plenty of room for 2 couples. Annapolis/Eastport “feels-like” temperature everyday was 100+, and we were always comfortable. Great view of boats coming in & out of harbor ! Walking distance to great eateries in Eastport - car sat in parking lot for all 4 days. Owner promptly communicated, and personally setup the boat before our arrival ! Highly recommend !
A wonderful stay on the kathleen Marie…enjoyed hanging on the boat sunrises and sunsets were amazing ! The boat was clean and host was very nice even let us check in early! The town has some of the best restaurants and everyone at the marina was friendly ! Can’t wait to do it again!
This is my 3rd time aboard the Kathleen Marie! Each time I have enjoyed myself thoroughly! I love introducing new friends to staying on a Yacht. Come on, it's just fun!
The Kathleen Marie was fantastic. Everything about the boat was as shown on the listing and its location in the marina couldn’t have been better. Amazing views. Quiet. Relaxing.
Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to.
A great experience. We had a wonderful fall weekend - despite a bit of rain. Staying on the water was great. Convenient parking, Oscar's coffee trailer in the parking lot was a nice surprise, walking to Bakery & Co for fresh pastries. The boat was set-up well with everything that we needed. Sunrise over the water was great. Close enough to downtown Annapolis to be convenient but without the crowds. A great stay.
We stayed in the boat while in town for the Annapolis boat show. It is a perfect location with a water taxi that will pick you up on the dock just behind the boat! The best seafood you will ever find is in walking distance. Annapolis is a beautiful, charming town to visit. Highly recommend, and just as described!
This is a great place to stay for couples who are looking for a romantic weekend getaway in downtown Annapolis. Recommended for those who are used to boating. Sunrises and coffee are a must. Watch sailors and boaters pass by all day. Get shuttled to dinner by water taxi. Never have to drive anywhere. Owner is very responsive and helpful. I left my Yeti Rambler behind and the owner quickly shipped it home! My wife and I hope to have a similar setup one day.
We really enjoyed our weekend on this boat - the views of the water from the upper decks are great. A very comfortable boat - the aft stateroom is quite large.
The boat was beautiful and exactly like the pictures
The weather could not have been better
Sitting on the back, watching boats, sipping coffee while watching the sunrise was the best.
I cannot think of a better way to be near water than to stay right on it. This stay was such a fun experience. There is nothing like having morning coffee and watching the sunrise! The accommodations were comfortable and we walked onto the yacht right into much needed air conditioning. Lena was a very attentive host and easy to get in touch with, and she had everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable. Thank you Lena and family for letting us stay on your yacht and for lending your rooms to us for such a cool getaway 💜
Lena was incredibly responsive and provided us with an amazing weekend on the boat...can't say enough about the location - docked on the outer ring of the marina you get a literal front row seat to watch boats come and go all day from two different levels of shaded deck space. People were friendly, the marina is top shelf and there is even a little coffee Camper called Oskar's right in the marina! 2 blocks away is a great place called Leeward's where you can get good coffee, breakfast, sandwiches, pizza, drinks etc. Another 2 blocks from there you can hit 2 great local bar/restaurants called The Boatyard and Davis's. To be honest we had plans to hit downtown Annapolis and eat/shop/tour and we ended up staying in the Eastport neighborhood where the marina is located the entire time! So much more relaxing in Eastport. That said, if you did need to go to Annapolis it's minutes away via water taxi (picks you up right at the dock) uber or drive yourself. There is plenty of parking at the marina so you wouldn't lose a spot if you venture out for the day. If you're up for it you could easily walk it - just a couple miles.
The boat is great as well...watch movies at night, 2 bathrooms with great showers, nice little kitchen with a fridge and a couple burners. We once rented a sailboat and we were so happy that Lena's boat had so much more space. Absolutely coming back again in the fall. This listing is a slam dunk if you are looking to try something different than a house
It was the perfect weekend getaway. Kathleen Marie did not disappoint. She is BEAUTIFUL and very spacious. The bed in the master was very comfortable. She will definitely rock you to sleep. Although the inside was spacious and comfortable, We spent the majority of our time sitting on the back porch watching all the boats coming and going. The perfect spot to watch the sunrise rise while having morning coffee. We had such a wonderful time we did not want to leave, so we stayed an extra night. Lena was such a sweet host. Available when needed and very accommodating. If you want to plan a relaxing weekend with a special someone, this is definitely the place to be. So grateful for the experience.
We had a wonderful time! We parked the car and never needed it again. We walked to all our meals and activities, including a fabulous full day of kayaking, a day of touring Annapolis, and a day at the Navy Academy. The view of the Chesapeake from the stern was spectacular! Our evenings were spent enjoying cocktails and the view!
This was our first stay on a boat and we enjoyed it!
There were 3 of us, me, my husband, and our friend. The boat was comfortable for the 3 of us and we enjoyed our time on it! As others have noted, it can be a little difficult to get on and off the boat, but we used the power of team work to help me and my shorter legs get traverse that first step.
We had the bad luck of arriving during a fairly windy rain storm. There are wheelbarrows bear the community center and parking lot so you can get your stuff to and from the boat more easily. And the arrival instructions were very clear and helpful, so we were more easily able to get ourselves onto the boat quickly and get less drenched in the downpour :-)
The boat was rockier that first night because of the wind and rain, but we felt comfortable, safe, and warm in the boat and even enjoyed the rocking come sleep time! If you are prone to seasickness, bring some meds.
The boat is super comfy and looks exactly as described and shown in the listing. The kitchen is very functional, but we decided to enjoy the cuisine offered in Eastport instead of cooking.
The boatt and marina are within walking distance of many restaurants, bars, and fun things to do, and you don't even have to cross the bridge into downtown Annapolis if you don't want to!
I definitely recommend the Kathleen Marie to anyone looking for a fun and different stay in the Annapolis area.
Oh, and the sunrise on our last morning was GORGEOUS!!
We had a fantastic weekend on the Kathleen Marie! Very comfortable and had everything we needed. Beautiful views and a unique experience! Wish we would have discovered it sooner!
We had such a relaxing time on the boat. Conveniently located within walking distance to eateries and historic downtown. We really enjoyed our stay. The boat was very clean and comfortable for the two of us. Really enjoyed the location within the marina no one was behind us so we could enjoy our coffee and drinks watching the sailboats and others go by.
