Being very familiar with this area, this is the perfect Cabin for Family. We gathered for the 2023 Christmas holiday seven of us, kids grandkids and had a wonderful time. This cabin is well appointed, well located, and has wonderful views.

Beautiful Home in Great Location!
Bear Creek was easy to access with the given instructions with ample parking and well paved roads. While there were a fair amount of steps to the main level, once there it was beautiful and just a few steps out back from several areas on the wrap around porch. Owners communicated to check on us and assure we were comfy. The home is centrally located to many area activities and attractions.

Outstanding!
This is our second stay at this beautiful home. It is spacious, comfortable, and close to gorgeous hiking trails. The large porch is peaceful with incredible views. There is a spacious master suite and large open family living area. The hosts are attentive and easy to reach. They’ve gone out of their way to make sure that the guests have everything needed. Great experience!

Secluded with amazing indoor and outdoor open spaces
Nice and secluded. Large common area with very high ceilings make it comfortable to cohabitate. Smart sleeping spaces are sure to accommodate your group. One thing to note, you'll have to drive (9 mins one way) your garbage to the Rabun Gap Recycling center.

Annual Family Vacation
It was so nice! This home provided us the perfect getaway for our entire family. There's so much fun stuff to do in the area, or you can just hang out around the cabin/house and enjoy the firepit. My grandchildren loved the game room, as did my adult children. 🙂 Communication with the owner was seamless. It was a very nice experience, and i think we will be back in the future.

Beautiful and perfect for entertaining
This home is beautiful and full of natural light. The open concept design is perfect for a family gathering. Full front porch area is great for relaxing outside for the morning cup of coffee and later for eating fresh off the grill. Will absolutely recommend and keep this property on the top of the list when visiting the area. Owners response was quick, with clear concise instructions. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy the propertry. Regards Shannon and Natalie

Great Property! Great Location !
We were only four and a dog but this place could easily handle an arrangement of 12. Beautiful home with beautiful view. Great property with outdoor fire pit, and trails to creeks/waterfalls on the property. Huge living and dining room, wrap around deck for lounging. 10 minutes to Clayton, Dillard House, Black Rock Mountain, and great hiking trails. And if you have never heard of Wolffork Valley, Rabun Gap, check it out. Ranches and pastures surrounded by beautiful Mountains.

Perfection
The rental process from start to finish was very easy, communication with owner was prompt and very helpful in planning the vacation. Would highly recommend this house. We had 9 mainly adults and adult children and not once did we feel cramped. House was spacious and the bear decor/ wood accents made it very homey. Perfect location for exploring different areas in Georgia.

Gorgeous property in the Perfect location
We absolutely loved staying at Bear Creek!! The house was spacious and in such a serene setting. The home is set up beautifully with lots of sleeping and room to hang out. There is one bedroom downstairs with the rest of the beds/bedrooms upstairs. We enjoyed the hiking trails to the waterfalls on the property. Our hosts were so wonderful with their information on the surrounding areas and got back to us quickly when there was a small, easily fixed issue. I would absolutely love to stay here again! Our only not really complaint, but advice for this property would be the amount of stairs. We had a family member who does not do well with stairs and it was a little hard on her. There is a walking path around the side and back that is somewhat easier with less stairs but it was a little steep and potentially slippery if it is wet. We made it work though and it was worth the memories that were made!

Great home for families
This is a beautiful, spacious, comfortable home with an amazing view. We had combined families (8 total people) that stayed for a large Thanksgiving gathering with our local family in the area. The kids & adults enjoyed the game area upstairs and especially the Foosball table. The kitchen is very well equipped. The beds were comfy. It was also so nice to be able to have our dogs there with us. Jay was very quick to respond to any questions - a great host. Great location for visiting the Franklin, NC, Dillard & Clayton Ga. Would definitely go back!

Beautiful Home!
We absolutely loved the home! It was stunning and had plenty of room for a large family! The driveway going up took a little getting used to for us flat-landers, but it was no big deal by the time we checked out.

Late October was perfect!
This home was very comfortable, larger than 2 of us needed, can sleep 10. There is a round kitchen table plus a long farm table, so, also eating seats for 10. For families that want it, there is a fire pit, room to roam the property, lots of games, some books and a foosball table. One disappointment was unreliable internet connection and limited TV choices, at least for what we were interested in. We missed our college football games and were unable to stream our church's online service. For us, the stairs were a bit of a challenge, but for younger renters that would be no problem. Folks with knee or back problems just need to know that. Jay was very responsive when we had a few questions after we checked in. Our stay was just what we needed, quiet, scenic and relaxing. We came home refreshed!

Great Stay.
Our family had a wonderful time. Even though it was raining most of the time the house has so much space it made it comfortable. There is a large table where we could play games as a family, a large sectional couch where we could watch TV, a Foosball table upstairs and plenty of seating outside with a covered porch. It is our second time staying here and look forward to staying again.

Wonderful stay.
We had a wonderful stay! After our first reservation had to be canceled due to circumstances out of their control and they found this cabin for us. The owners Jay and Mary were wonderful to work with and were willing to help with any problems or concerns we had!! The cabin was really nice and had a nice view of a mountain top which was beautiful!! Very peaceful in the morning and wonderful nature noises at night by the fire pit!! We would be glad to stay there again!!!

Fantastic location & experience
Everything about our stay was excellent. The house is open, spacious, clean, comfortable, & has gorgeous views. The huge porch was a favorite spot to hang out on. The creeks on the property were fun to explore… the dogs loved them too. The hosts were easy to connect with & certainty were thoughtful in the way they prepared the house to make it a great stay. It was nice to find that there is a dirt path/ramp around the back of the house. This makes it easier for those that have difficulty with lots of steps. When using the dirt path, you only have to navigate a few steps. The home is located near many great attractions. Our family of 8 & 2 dogs had a wonderful visit. We will return. This was a favorite property for us.

Why they chose this property

We love to get away to the peace and quiet that we find in the Georgia Mountains. The beautiful mountain views, the privacy of just you and nature with no neighbors. The mountain home has so many windows we've nick named it the house of light! Sunlight streams in during the day and at night the moon beams cast shadows while the stars twinkle through the tree tops. Its a real treat to sleep with the blinds open to view the moon and stars.

What makes this property unique

This mountain home also has a yard to get out and throw a ball, or to play other outdoor games. The home has a backup natural gas powered generator to keep the essentials going if you should loose power during your stay.
