Disappointing Experience for a High-End Rental
We rented this mansion for a special family event—my son’s wedding—expecting a luxurious experience given the very high price. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by several issues:
Landscaping: The landscaping in both the front and back of the house was not maintained. Dirt covered the patio, and it was evident that the outdoor areas had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. For the cost of the rental, we anticipated well-kept outdoor spaces.
Fridge Malfunction: On the first day, the fridge was not working, leading to spoiled food. A replacement fridge was brought, but it was placed in the middle of the hallway, causing inconvenience. It took a couple of days for the new fridge to start functioning properly. We were informed that it takes time for the fridge to cool down once food is added, but this seemed inconsistent with our experience at home.
Lack of Air Conditioning: Although it was mentioned on the site that the property does not have air conditioning, it was a significant drawback. With such a large mansion and numerous rooms, the absence of air conditioning was quite disappointing. While fans were provided, they did not adequately address the discomfort.
Overall, I’m not one to complain lightly, but for the amount we paid, we expected a higher level of service and attention to detail. The renter should focus more on these aspects to ensure a truly luxurious experience.
