Make Memories! For those special occasions and for discerning travelers.
Enjoy the elegant and comfortable Arris Heritage House, custom built in 1911 by noted builder Daniel J Arris and listed on the Wisconsin Historic register. So much has been updated yet the warmth and comfort of yesterday's elegance shines through the 11 stained and hand painted glass. The neighborhood was home to many of the local business leaders of that era and remains an area with delightful neighbors. The home was built for the Glenn Darst family with Grandpa Glenn (as he was known to all) living in the residence into his 90s. This great home had so many family and neighbor gatherings that the feeling of joy still rings through the home.
The main floor was designed with quality. The gorgeous cherry woodwork is complemented with 11 pieces of original stained glass and one of a kind hand painted stained glass from Duluth's St. Germain Studios. Note the crystal chandeliers. You will enjoy the comforts of a large cozy living room and elegant dining room. The modern kitchen features professional level Jenn Air appliances. Don't forget to connect to the Bluetooth speakers (in the living room and connected to the front outdoor porch)
The main living quarters are on the second level. We named them: North Star, North Shore and North Woods. Each bedroom is equipped with a new large Smart TV. The cobalt blue and white master features a sitting room that can provide extra sleeping (on the couch or air mattress). Enjoy the walk in shower too.
The third floor is it's own world with a huge remodeled bath room with separate shower and claw foot tub. To the left is a sleeping area or play area depending on your group. The barn-styled door to your right finds a sitting room or sleeping room depending on your needs.
We just added "Glenn's Grotto" in the lower level where we took a scary old basement and created some great hang out and game space. Grandpa Glenn had a game room built in the basement where adults could gather for games and libations. Later on, the grand kids took over and after that the area became a hobby room. We bring back the space as Glenn's Grotto featuring a family room and a separate game area PLUS a quarter bath. We have a large screen TV, a foosball table, card and game table and more. Grandpa Glenn never allowed cigars at his card games. Neither do we.
Make memories!
