Fun casita with river access in the Heart of the Gruene Historic District

Located in the heart of the Gruene historic district, The Casitas at Gruene is perfect for small groups, couples, wedding parties, girls' weekends, and more. This listing is for the Safari themed Casita. Each Casita includes private access to the Guadalupe River. There is a walkway to our private river access on the property. Gruene Hall is a 5-minute walk. Kayaks and paddleboards available for use. Beautiful rustic stone picnic tables, fire pits, and Bar-b-Que pits available for use. The property is meticulously maintained and features 100-year-old oak trees. An automatic security gate welcomes guests and is closed at night. Guests have 24/7 access.
All Casitas have a fully-stocked complimentary Keurig bar, microwave, bar sink, and 2 TVs.

Weekend in Gruene

Wonderful property with incredible access to both the river and Greene’s town center. We didn’t need to drive anywhere once we arrived except to the wedding we were in Gruene to attend.

Great Casita in a Great Location

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Safari Casita. It is very clean and comfortable. The location is also fantastic as it is walking distance to everything you could want to do in Gruene. We will definitely be staying here again

I would like to submit a response to a situation with my daughter. I was out of the casita, enjoying the river and I received a text from my daughter. She frantically texted me that a man came into our casita while she was in the shower. He yelled at her to turn her music down. The music was coming from her iPhone while in the shower. I think this was very inappropriate because it scared her. I feel a text or phone call would have been more appropriate. Renting does not give one the right to barge into a room.

Great Property

Not our first stay here and won't be the last. Very good location directly on the river and walking distance to Gruene Hall etc. All rooms are very nice and like new.

Short Visit

This was a quick trip to Gruene on a Friday. The ability to book one night and not two or more was critical. It is easy walking distance to all Gruene venues, very clean, comfortable and pleasant place to stay. I noticed that river access, bbq pits, fire places, kayaks and more are available. We will return again when it's warmer. :)

Adorable Gruene Location on the River

We had a girls’ trip there, and it was awesome! The place was really cute and had everything we needed. It was a close walk to Gruene Hall and down to the river. I would stay there again and highly recommend it!

We loved our stay in the Jungle Casita! It is very clean and within walking distance to everything in Gruene. We loved the river access and that floats and chairs were provided. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely beautiful!

We chose to stay here based on all the positive reviews we read online and I have to say that our experience surpassed the best of these reviews! This is a beautiful property with spectacular access to the Guadalupe river and downtown Gruene! Perfect place for a weekend getaway, and we hope to maybe one day stay even longer!

Proposal at the property

Perfection!

This could not have been better. Resort status! The casita was spotless, stocked with everything you could need, and beautiful. We felt so safe and comfortable here. And my God! The river access! We had such a great time relaxing by the river, and paddle boarding/floating around during the day, then walking to Gruene Hall at night to watch our friend play a show. This really couldn’t have been more perfect. Can’t wait to book our next trip!!

Excellent Gruene Hall stay

This property is in easy walking distance to Gruene Hall. All furnishing (linens, towels, etc.) and finishes (counters, floors, cabinets) are all very luxurious. The casita is perfect for those like me not interested in cooking with mini fridge and microwave. TVs are setup with hulu and Netflix if you want to unwind after the show! Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

Very cozy and great location. An easy walk into town. Did not have to drive once while being here. There's a nice walk down to the private river access behind the property.. but being that it is December did not use any of the river amenities during our stay. We will be back!

Perfect Location, comfy beds!

What a perfect spot to stay while exploring Gruene and New Braunfels! The Cassita had all the amenities and a wonderful porch to sit and talk. But the best part was the beds. Even the trundle bed couch was so comfy. We all had a great afternoon/evening then came back to an excellent night sleep. Our host were kind and accommodating! Thank you for letting us stay in your cozy little haven.

Perfect Girls Trip!

Wow were we surprised. The pictures do not give this place justice to how cute it is! The casita was super clean, high ceilings makes it feel bigger than pictures look. Stocked kitchenette area complete with coffee maker and coffee pods. The beds were super comfortable, with plenty of extra bedding. The bathroom also was nicely modeled and stocked with essentials. The biggest surprise was the nice paved walkway with hand rails down to the river, felt like we were in a nature park complete with countless deer roaming around. A nice gathering space at the river with tables, chairs, and camp fire pit. We were there late October and the weather was fantastic in the evenings listing to the peaceful river. I do have to say the hike back up the walk back up was a bit challenging. They provide a little wagon to each casita that could be used to carry stuff down to the river. The walk to Gruene was about a 5 minute walk. You do have to walk on the road a short distance before coming to a sidewalk. Not so much a big deal in the daytime, just be cautious after dark. We can't thank this property enough for the most enjoyable time. We will definitely be back, hopefully to rent all the casitas for a couples trip.

Super clean, comfy beds, perfect spot

We loved the themed casitas. This is a perfect location and within walking distance to the heart of Gruene (only .2 miles / 5 min walk to Gruene Hall). The beds were really comfortable and the AC was nice and cool. We loved all the amenities and truly appreciated the water bottles, coffee and cookies. They also have an ice machine. We didn’t float the river this trip but thought it was great that we had the option to use their floats and wagons. Perfect location!! Highly recommend.
