Family Bonding at 1880s Home
This home was perfect for our families' stay. We had a little difficulty with the front door entry keypad. It seemed to have it's own mind in sometimes opening and sometimes not!! When it wouldn't we went around the house and entered through the kitchen door which always worked.
We had quite a group staying with only the 2 bathrooms but...no problem...we worked all that out and it ran smoothly. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. We slept like babies. Only one in our group had a problem keeping the inflatable bed aired up all night. Hopefully that problem will be attended to before the next group needs it!
We found the layout of the main dining and living areas made it very easy to have everyone chit chatting together in one space. The long dining table provided a great area to eat and play games.
The kitchen is small but very useable and all that we needed for cooking was provided well. We did use the grill and charcoal and matches were there at our fingertips! We would have loved to have had a campfire and enjoyed the garden area more...but...weather did not cooperate. There were piles of wood close by to use.
Everyone loved the home (front porch could use a little paint to add to the charm) We were pleased with our stay. We were able to walk to the shops downtown in minutes and enjoy this cute town with the coffee/sandwich shop by the waterfalls, antique shops with icecream, boutiques, candy store and grocery store within blocks. We loved it! (And would come again!)
