Well maintained property. Often times you see a picture, compare it to the "real" thing and are disappointed. This was not the case as this property is a well kept, welcoming, comfortable and peaceful place to stay.
We enjoyed our stay in the cute little house. The backporch was so enjoyable morning, noon and night. A quick and easy drive into town but nice to be away from the crowds when you want to unwind.
Overall it's a very nice cottage with some pleasant outdoor space. The location is quite rural, although there are some neighbors within earshot. Great deck, great fire pits. The smaller firepit has a grate that can be used to grill foods. There was some oak logs cut up on the property that we used for fire pits at night. The only negative is that there is another property on site directly next door and there isn't much privacy when hanging out in the backyard. Keep that in mind. Our neighbors were quiet and respectful but that would have been nice to know beforehand.

Great get away in the hill country
The property is full of characters! Modern but with a touch of rustiness. My kids love the attic! I don't think the pictures on the website do them justice. All the decorations show the owners put their heart to it. I took a lot of pictures of the property during my stay. A few of my friends already ask me about it after seeing them on my social media.
One suggestion here: I hope I would've been provided better check-in directions. We arrived at the property when it started to get dark. With no one on site, and no idea how to enter the property that almost gave me a panic attack. I finally got hold of the property manager for directions after calling the provided number a few times. I am sure all guests would appreciate it if the process be communicated before hand.
Place is beautiful - loved the house and yard
Really out in the country so you get the space, the quiet and the stars
Already talking about when we can go back
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was exactly as described. The owners were helpful and prompt with check in details. We enjoyed the games and coffee too!
We had a blast here and it was the perfect group house for the 5 of us. Be prepared for about a 20 minute drive to town or wineries, but overall the property and location were stellar!
We really enjoyed our stay. The location was an optimal location it wasn’t too far from everything but it was still tucked away. The place was neat and clean, also very beautiful. You can tell the owners put a lot of care and thought into this place. The only thing I would say is we needed a little more clarification on what time trash was being picked up. Luckily we left extremely early but it would have been nice to have an estimated time just in case. The notes left around the house were so helpful and were extremely convenient. We really loved this place and will definitely look into staying another time.
We wanted to get away from everything and just relax away from all the crowds. This property did just that for us. The owners seriously thought of everything all the way down to games and blankets for outside. We brought our own things and it turns out we didn’t really have to. The bench out back with the rock ottoman was a nice touch. Such a cozy area for reading and listening to nature sounds and cows mooing. 10/10 would recommend.
We just loved our stay. The house was filled with sweet notes (mostly cute little apologies for anything that might not be of convenience). Our hosts Stacy and Brian were incredibly wonderful keeping us posted on anything we needed. We spent lots of time on the porch playing games and had everything we needed to cook. We loved all the animals at the neighboring properties and we all took walks to enjoy them. We were close enough to town and the hosts had plenty of information on things to do in the area. We are lucky to have found such a great spot and it slept 4 adult women plenty comfortably. Thank you again to our hosts. Your home was perfect in every way for our stay!
Cannot say enough amazing things about this property! I'd love the chance to stay here again. Decorated perfectly, clean, great sheets, and good firm beds. The location was exactly what we were looking for. So quiet at night, just a beautiful house in a beautiful spot!!!
This is a nice clean little house with a wonderful back deck we thoroughly enjoyed. The only thing is if you are handicapped this is not for you. Stairs everywhere.
We had the most fantastic stay. There were four of us celebrating a girlfriend‘s birthday. The home was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. So many nice touches including the blankets for around the fire. I will definitely be returning
The property was great - lots of room for us and our dog. Enjoyed the large deck, and visiting with the cows next door. Internet is satellite based and slow, with no T-Mobile cell service, but that just reinforces the need to be on vacation and disconnect.
If traveling with infants, the loft is open to the downstairs, so the master bedroom is really the only place to keep a baby with a closed door. Also, no rocking chair in the house unfortunately.
It is about 20 minutes to town - not bad, but we ended up going back and forth quite a bit more than we wanted to, which seemed like a lot of wasted time driving for a short trip.
All in all, I recommended it, and we had a great time until the 10 month old caught a stomach bug on day 2 🤣
My husband, our dog and I had such a wonderful time at this place. The cottage was very welcoming and decorated so tastefully . It was close enough to everything that Fredericksburg has to offer but far enough to be away from the crowds. We loved the back porch and the view! We recommended it to all of our friends and will definitely be back soon!
Lovely cottage, 15-20 minutes from everything. The owners were very responsive & great dealing with. The cottage is decorated so warm & cozy, the outside deck/fire pit patio area is very relaxing. Had a wonderful stay. I would highly recommend.
