Bare Bones
This place is bare bones. We enjoyed the walkability to town but that’s it. The bed is extremely soft, temperature is hard to control in the unit. No hairdryer, or ironing board. Missing a lot of things (including dinner plates) that would make for a better stay/kitchen. Pretty neighborhood, nice 15min (1mile) walk to town which we enjoyed.

Lovely and convenient stay in Juneau
The house was exactly as described and very comfortable. The owner was very quick to respond to my questions and we had no problems. The location is lovely and just a short walk into historic Juneau. I highly recommend this house!

Functional with some oddities
This is a property management company using VRBO to list their rental, so expect paperwork after you book and lots of automated emails. They have a local contact but it's not like anyone is really personally invested in the property on site. The bed was comfy and the space was functionally clean. There's some really easily fixable stuff that's not quite right. Most.importanly, both of the smoke detectors were out of their ceiling mounts when we arrived. One was sitting by the bed and the other by the tv. We tried to use the oven but when we turned it to 425 it started smoking from residue on the inside and we had to open all the windows. We messaged the management, who replied quickly, but they told us to reach out to the local contact. That local contact replied that they'd stop by, but when we got back to the apartment that night, the oven was still dirty and the smoke detectors still down. So that's a red flag to us. There was also stuff strewn about in the bedroom closet - notably some Christmas wrapping paper (in July). And there's a bottle of body wash in the shower that has written on it in sharpie "Beware. It's broken." How hard is it to replace a broken bottle? The toilet paper holder is coming out of the wall. Add to this that the welcome and check out emails are full of rules written in all caps and ask you to take out trash and wash and put away all dishes before you go, and you get the sense that you're less welcome and more a source of capital.

Good location
You get what you pay for at this condo in Juneau! This is a very no frills spot, close to the hiking trails and the downtown scene. There was no toilet paper when we arrived, also no wash cloths. It is a lot cheaper than the local hotels though, so you should take those savings and go buy toilet paper at Fred Meyer before checking in.

Sterile and adequate
The property was clean and simple. No Alaska decor or, really, any decor. The view of mountain is hidden by two growing trees in front of window. There is a candle, but no matches or lighter. The water filter was nice. We both agreed that it did its job of a clean place to stay and wash clothes as we are on a long traveling SE Alaska trip, but wish there was more personality and special touches that we have found in other rentals or B&B. You can tell the owner probably doesn’t visit. It isn’t bad - it just depends what you like in a rental.

Decent location but couple of issues when we got there
Nice location and living space was clean however the toilet seat was missing and the hot tub advertised was dirty so we didn’t use. Owner was easy to communicate with and had someone bring me toilet seat in a few hours.

Great stay for Ironman Alaska!
Just as advertised. Not fancy but had everything we needed. Amazing view from the windows like you are in the trees. If you come for Ironman you will need a rental car as this unit is about 20 minutes from race stuff. The hot tub was fantastic to have.

Nice place. Small little changes would make a big difference
Recommend property: - small blanket too, along with just white sheets enough to stay warm or comfortable when the weather changes in Juneau. If sleeping in living room travelers don't carry blankets. - needed to buy paper towels , hand towels in kitchen specific the store only had six packs, a very small item that should be included. - include somewhere to place luggage on rack, or shelf instead only place on the floor. Overall nice place and convenient nice location.

Nice vacation
All in all it was a nice rental. The hot tub wasn't working until the last few hours the night before we left, the dish washer left the dishes looking dirty, and there wasn't enough room for our garbage but those are my only complaints. We had a big group and rented both the apartment above the garage and the house. it is an awesome location and we had 3 rental cars to park so were glad to have enough parking spots.

Good Basic Dwelling
This property was easy to find, the communication between us and the management company was excellent. The email provided covered everything we needed to know. I liked that they didn’t require too much work at the end of the trip to clean the place up. They had a basic set of pots and skillets. It would have been nice to have some bakeware (9x13 pan, Corning ware), that could be used in the microwave.

Overpowering perfume smell
I have allergies and had an allergic reaction to the air freshener the owners used. I opened all the windows and still couldn’t get rid of the smell. For the price it was really over rated. This was my first experience with a vacation rental and I will never go through this company again.

Why they chose this property

You couldn't ask for a better location in Juneau than this lovely apartment. Lace up those hiking boots and hit Flume Trail or Mt. Robert's Trailhead which starts just 1 mile away from this property.
Continue outdoor exploration when you book a fishing tour or cruise through Tracy Arm to gaze upon the mesmerizing blue hues of calving glaciers. This home sits within a 2-mile drive of a variety of tourist offices, so everyone is sure to find something alluring!
Get up close to these living glaciers with a guided hike in Mendenhall Valley. Located 15 minutes north of this apartment, the Mendenhall Glacier, waterfalls, and diverse wildlife are waiting to impress travelers of all ages.
If you're a museum-goer, you won't want to miss tours of the Juneau-Douglas City Museum or the Alaska State Museum. Feed your appetite in the heart of town at the Red Dog Saloon, Rendezvous, or Hangar on the Wharf.
Hike! Go to the top of Evergreen Ave for a beautiful walk along the Flume Trail. The Flume leads to Mt. Roberts, Mt Juneau, and Perseverance trailheads. There is also great hiking at our local ski hill on Douglas Island, across the bridge.
Go whale watching or take a boat tour up the Taku Inlet.
Visit one of the beaches on Douglas Island.
Rent SUP boards at Blue Nose Surf or sea kayaks at Alaska Boat and Kayak Shop. Or rent a motorboat/skiff at Panhandle Power Boats.
Organize an adventure from the cruise ship docks downtown(e.g., ziplining, dogsledding, fishing, and helicopter glacier tours). The tram for Mt. Roberts also boards here.
I'd like you to please see a movie. We have a tiny, family-owned repertory theatre downtown called the Gold Town Nickelodeon. There are also two other theaters playing new releases.
Go for a Tasting at the Alaskan Brewery in the Lemon Ck. Neighborhood.
