We were coming for the corvette show in mackinaw city and was looking for a place that was pet friendly. Cabin had everything that you needed. Clean and comfortable would stay here again.

Very nice. Clean and homily feeling. Perfect place to get away from hustle and bustle of everyday. Would definitely recommend to others.
First impression was just how clean this was. I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw that this was a 350 sq ft. cabin. I didn't realize it was an actual campground. The cabin has a bathroom, but it also has a very nice bath house as well for those with tents or who just "both need to use it at the same time". We did take our two small dogs with us. We used one bedroom for our luggage and such and we used the other. It is equipped with just about everything you would need. We were concerned it might be too hot for our French Bulldogs, but there is an A/C unit in the kitchen (we were in cabin 2) and a fan in each bedroom. We were more than comfortable. We went to Mackinac Island one day and hit the beach another day. If you love smoked salmon, don't forget to hit up Guftason's, not far from the campsite.

I liked everything about this property except for one thing. I have had respiratory problems most of my life. Never in my many years of traveling have I been subjected to such an extreme degree of perfumed/scented products. I knew I was in trouble the moment I walked into the cabin. Thankfully, my daughter found 3 room air fresheners which were immediately placed outside. Being next to impossible to eliminate the perfumy smell even after opening all windows and the door and using fans in an attempt to air out the cabin, I ended up with throat and nasal irritation and a low-grade fever. (If there had been a room freshener in the bedroom or if it had not been warm enough to open windows, I would not have been able to stay.) I hope the managers of this property reconsider and stop using such products in the future. Until then, I will not be able to return to this otherwise fantastic place - which otherwise would have been rated 5/5.
This review may be long, but it lets you know all that you need to know about staying in one of the 4 person cabins. We stayed in cabin 2 "Big Mike."
To start, I would give this place 10 out of 5! We read ahead of time that check in was just walking in. Upon arrival, our cabin was open and the keys were on the table.
Everything you need is there! The pictures online do not do the cabin justice and REALLY need to be updated. We overpacked in preparation of needing a lot of things that were provided.
Outside: Our cabin had a grill, firepit and picnic table to start. A bag of charcoal, lighter fluid, grilling equipment etc. There is a fully stocked stack of precut firewood and 2 camping chairs.
Inside: The main living area was a table that had card/board games and 4 chairs. The kitchen had everything we needed. Full size fridge, microwave, K-cup maker (bring K-cups), double sink, full size oven/stove and all the utensils you could need to make almost any meal.
Bathroom: 1st off super small. But they went above and beyond to make it very functional! Paper towel dispenser, toilet paper dispenser and foaming soap all mounted to the walls. Single person shower stall and the soap is just within reach. They also provided 8 full-sized towels, 4 hand towels and 4 wash cloths!
Bedrooms: Each bed had a nice comforter, soft sheets and 4 comfy pillows. The mattress was SO comfortable. I have never slept so good on a vacation.....see my google review for the rest

The cabin is small but clean and in good shape. Stayed at cabin#2 and a little disappointed that it's not on the lakefront. The view is still nice. We enjoyed exploring the area. Colors were gorgeous. Cut river bridge Roadside park is beautiful! Definitely will come back but will stay at lakefront cabin. One problem- fire alarm kept going off when I cooked breakfast. Won't be an issue if you keep windows and door opened but weather was cold.
My wife and I needed a place to stay with our dogs on a long drive. This cabin was a really nice place to take a break from the drive and get some rest. Very peaceful and relaxing.
Was a very nice cabin, clean. Planning on coming back yearly. Property not marked well enough took us an extra 30/40 minutes to find it…. Please put signs up n wasn’t aware there was no place to check in, once we understood, N we found the cabin . I loved that we didn’t have to…. Place was hard to find in the dark.
We arrived around 9 pm.....wanted to sit by campfire. Couldn't find matches. Contacted manager. Came right over and actually started the campfire for us!!! So awesome!!!
Everything went well as expected! Great communication on there half, and they worked with me at the last minute for reservations.
Clean, cute little cabin about 80 feet off from the water. If you like outdoors with not much civilization around this is the place to go! We’ll definitely be going there again!!!
I really enjoyed the small cabin setup, especially when trying to social distance from others. The cabin had everything we needed and was in a nice location right by the water. I would recommend this to others.
